I received many quotes from other companies but decided to hire Espitia's Tree Service since they are licensed Arborists and sent me their Certificate of insurance. Legit! They also had a reasonable price so it was a great deal! He told me that they have many years of experience in California as Utility Line Arborist - Line Clearance Tree Trimmers. Their business in Hawaii is over 6 years now. They did Excellent work and had their road signs set up during the job. He was able to give me an estimate based on the video I sent. As they were in the area, he gave me a call asking if I had some time today to come by with the crew. They called after their job was done and came by and cut down all of my tall trees. They were really efficient and cleaned up really really well, including taking a pile of leaves (from the palms) that I had left for the next green waste day. Although they were using my green bin to haul green waste out to their trucks, they emptied it all into their trucks and left my bin empty. After I received a prompt reply to my inquiry and a reasonable estimate from Jon/Oahu Tree Preservation, I contracted them to do the job. Jon and his employee were both personable and professional as they went about their work (very quietly, I might add!). They understood my concern about not disturbing bird nests, and, also at my request, they left untouched some branches that provide a screen between our side yard and the neighbor's windows. They cleaned up after themselves, leaving two airy, well shaped trees. Jon also planted a young grapefruit tree for me and continues to provide advice. I can't say enough about the professionalism Jon puts into not only his on-site work but also his communications. He and his crew didn't come out and butcher my trees with big chainsaws, they climbed into the tree and carefully selected branches to be removed. Wanted to improve drainage in the backyard to prevent heavy rain ponding along back patio. The…read moreplan was to replace our existing drainage with a french drain system. Work was done in less than 2 weeks. It was muddy/dirty as they dug the trench for the drain while trying to avoid the existing sprinkler system in the yard. They connected existing backyard drains and some gutter downspouts where that made sense to the new drainage system. To complete the job, they repaired a few sprinkler heads and connections that were damaged and power washed sidewalks and driveway. They also saved the grass that was removed digging the trench and replaced them over the completed drain system.
