My Wife and I wanted to completely redo our front and backyard but we weren't completely sure what we exactly wanted to do. We asked Jeff from JBL to come and give us a quote. He was able to brainstorm with us to help us imagine a completely new yard. He gave us ideas that we would either agree or disagree with. Once we had a general idea, Jeff was able to create a digital rendering of both our front and backyard so we were actually able to see his vision and know what we could expect the finished product to look like. For the early stages of the project Angel was the primary foreman of the job. Angel was very friendly and respectful. He would give us updates on what they would be doing for the next couple of days, or if they wouldn't be coming due to weather conditions. As a client this was great because we never had to wonder whether the contractors were coming or not. Our Project consisted of removing existing cement pavers and vegetation. And installation of new turf, irrigation system, and vinyl fence. JBL took care of hauling away all the old materials and bringing all the new materials/plants for our project. Wanted to improve drainage in the backyard to prevent heavy rain ponding along back patio. The plan was to replace our existing drainage with a french drain system. Work was done in less than 2 weeks. It was muddy/dirty as they dug the trench for the drain while trying to avoid the existing sprinkler system in the yard. They connected existing backyard drains and some gutter downspouts where that made sense to the new drainage system. To complete the job, they repaired a few sprinkler heads and connections that were damaged and power washed sidewalks and driveway. They also saved the grass that was removed digging the trench and replaced them over the completed drain system. read more

I don't know where the good ratings come from, but this company has no regards for the neighbors. The dig and move dirt, creating a lot of dust without bothering to put up a dust screen or spray water constantly to reduce the dust from traveling. I have a lot of red dirt inside of my house and in my car because of them. I also witnessed them loading and removing the homeowner's dirt from the property before they completed backfilling the wall. They tried to deny that fact to the homeowner, but claimed there was enough dirt to complete the job. I later found out they had to bring back dirt, which was not his, as it was brown not red, and filled with rocks and rubbish. I would think twice before using this company. read more

Responded promptly to telephone call of sprinkler repair. 3 of 5 zones were not working. 5 sprinkler valves were leaking and a few broken sprinkler heads. It was more than I could do on my own. We worked with Jeff on a backyard project that lasted about 3 weeks or so and was happy with the whole process including the result. Jeff led a small team and was very responsive towards calls and messages. We requested a quote, and Jeff was able to provide a plan that met our needs and got it approved before starting the project. The workers were professional throughout the process, some days they worked after 3:30pm to ensure work could be done in a timely manner. They do a really nice job in terms of cleaning up on a every day basis, and thorough clean up after the entire project. Their work schedule is usually between 7:30am (could arrive a bit late or early) until 3:30pm. We installed the drainage system as well underneath the turf. Currently, we are happy with the drainage system and hope it is robust and could last a long time. I was bleeding water from our main irrigation line. Turned off that valve and started calling. Jeff responded quickly on the phone and he was at my home in 30 min. He assessed our old valve system and it needed upgrading but told me that he still needed to dig down to confirm that was the only problem. He gave me scenarios and pricing that reflected the scenarios. When he dug under the main valve system and turned on the water again, out sprung 3 very gushing leaks. Pipes needed to replaced. Each step he showed me the problems so I wouldn't think that he was cheating me. At this point I didn't even think that. From the get go he told me things up front, no guessing. Prices fairly and did a thorough check on my irrigation system to ensure that the system worked as supposed to. He replaced a couple sprinkler heads at no charge as well. Jeff did a tremendous job on our place this past month and out of 5 landscapers we chose him because he could pour concrete and landscape. Price is good too and fair. No issues at all with project. He extended driveway with more concrete, added arbor walls in 2 places, added grass around the house, installed rock layer around house, drainage in both sides of house with french drained added in front of garage and threw in some plants too. Lastly leveling the ground and adding a retaining wall was also in store. Job took 4 weeks which was better than expected. Our previous yard man was good but a a flake. After being a no show for two months and no response to my phone and text messages I looked for another vendor. I called and left voicemail messages for yard maintenance vendors in my area, Mililani. No return of phone call. So unprofessional. I called around a few places and most of them weren't that helpful thinking it was a small job and wanted to charge just to come and look. I felt extremely fortunate to have found this company and Jeff. He answered my call right away and offered to come out that afternoon after his work hours. Prior to coming he texted that he was on his way and gave me a heads up when he was 10 minutes out. He was extremely honest, helpful, diligent, reliable, fair and went above and beyond. We agreed to work with him and he offered to get started prepping on the spot prior to our weekend cement pouring. In the midst of everything we broke our one pipe while Jeff was at Lowe's. When Jeff came back, he called in a favor to a plumbing friend and they came out right away to fix our mishap.
