We requested a quote, and within two days they came to our property to assess the work and provided a quote that same day. We also wanted to make sure we were working with a properly insured company, and they promptly sent us a copy of their insurance documentation along with the quote. Once we approved the quote, they were able to fit us into their schedule the following week. Our project was fairly substantial and took three days. We had six large Cook Pines that needed to be trimmed down by about half, as well as several palm trees that had been infested with Coconut Rhinoceros Beetles (CRB) and needed to be completely removed. The crew arrived on time each day and was professional, friendly, and very respectful of our property. They took great care while working around the property and made sure everything was cleaned up before they left each day. Considering the amount of cutting and debris involved in a job of this size, we really appreciated how clean they kept everything. The entire process--from getting the quote through completion of the job--was smooth, professional, and well organized. We were very pleased with the results and would definitely use Espitia's Tree Service again. Highly recommended for any tree service job, whether it's a small trimming project or a large job like ours!

Thanks to them, I don't have to worry about spreading concrete floor cracks any more. I'm very satisfied their job & highly recommend them.

Everything regarding service requested, quality and value were all completed at a high level of excellence. This is only about the third yelp review I have ever done even though I use yelp often. I rarely take the time to write reviews unless it is truly phenomenal and monkey man definitely deserves my time and an outstanding review! First of all, his reviews already spoke for themselves, so I took his impeccable history and decided to give him a call. I then realized that I didn't need to look into any other vendors because this was the guy I needed. When I called him, he answered the phone and willingly offered to help out. He was willing to come that same day or later in the week, but that wasn't going to work for me so we were able to plan for the next week. Don't forget to message and follow up with him because he's a busy man! On the day of the project he was a little behind, but nothing crazy, and I rather have someone with a great attitude and very reasonable price versus someone more prompt but charges an arm and a leg. The most impressive characteristic about monkey man is that he was willing to support the youth that we were sending to a conference. I ended up giving him more $ than he requested because I know the job he did was way beyond what he asked. I looked into renting a lift, but that was really pricey, and I would still need to get a chainsaw and be careful with the neighbors property and cable wires so it was definitely a wise choice to hire a professional like the monkey man versus trying to possibly save money but risk my life or potentially damaging my neighbors property or something else! I've cut many trees myself, but not one of this size so having monkey man was well worth it. He even went the extra mile to make some cutting boards for the neighbors who requested. I cannot guarantee that he will do the same favors for you/your neighbors; however, I have confidence he will provide his best service at a reasonable price & I do not believe that you will be disappointed. Bottom line: I just wanna give a big MAHALO to Monkey Man and look forward to hopefully doing more business in the future. God bless you!

Derek gave me a call and left a message (I wasn't available to answer) and asked to send him photos of what I want done. I sent him a video and explained what I was looking to get done. They called after their job was done and came by and cut down all of my tall trees. They were really efficient and cleaned up really really well, including taking a pile of leaves (from the palms) that I had left for the next green waste day. Although they were using my green bin to haul green waste out to their trucks, they emptied it all into their trucks and left my bin empty. The back where they were working as well as the front where they cut the trees into smaller pieces to load were cleaned up really well before leaving. Highly recommend!!

We are still not sure how it made its way into our yard, but the damage happened fast and the tree was gone within three weeks. Nick is one of the most knowledgeable arborists we have ever met. He quickly came out to inject the affected tree and spray the surrounding trees to stop the spread before the beetles could take over our entire yard. We are so grateful for his quick action. Nick and his team did an excellent and thorough job trimming our five trees in a single day, as well as removing the dead Schefflera tree, which was already rotting from the inside. That tree had been part of our yard for 25 years, so losing it was heartbreaking. It has now been a month and we have not seen any more active beetles, so we are crossing our fingers it stays that way. Casey, their coordinator, was also amazing and always quick to respond and get us scheduled right away to help stop the spread. We truly appreciate the entire team and highly recommend them.

After I received a prompt reply to my inquiry and a reasonable estimate from Jon/Oahu Tree Preservation, I contracted them to do the job. Jon and his employee were both personable and professional as they went about their work (very quietly, I might add!). They understood my concern about not disturbing bird nests, and, also at my request, they left untouched some branches that provide a screen between our side yard and the neighbor's windows. They cleaned up after themselves, leaving two airy, well shaped trees. Jon also planted a young grapefruit tree for me and continues to provide advice. I can't say enough about the professionalism Jon puts into not only his on-site work but also his communications. I thought I'd never be able to afford a certified arborist, but holy cow! He paid the utmost attention to my requests and concerns, and understood exactly what I wanted to do. In addition, his estimate was HALF of what I had been quoted by other non-certified folks. He and his crew didn't come out and butcher my trees with big chainsaws, they climbed into the tree and carefully selected branches to be removed. I suppose that's exactly why they are called tree surgeons by some. Additionally, he provided me with expert advice about other trees and plants in my yard. I was very grateful for his work and very impressed. I would recommend Jon to anyone I know. My trees are beautiful and safe. Thank you again Jon.
