I rarely take the time to write reviews unless it is truly phenomenal and monkey man definitely deserves my time and an outstanding review! First of all, his reviews already spoke for themselves, so I took his impeccable history and decided to give him a call. I then realized that I didn't need to look into any other vendors because this was the guy I needed. When I called him, he answered the phone and willingly offered to help out. He was willing to come that same day or later in the week, but that wasn't going to work for me so we were able to plan for the next week. Don't forget to message and follow up with him because he's a busy man! On the day of the project he was a little behind, but nothing crazy, and I rather have someone with a great attitude and very reasonable price versus someone more prompt but charges an arm and a leg. The most impressive characteristic about monkey man is that he was willing to support the youth that we were sending to a conference. I ended up giving him more $ than he requested because I know the job he did was way beyond what he asked. I looked into renting a lift, but that was really pricey, and I would still need to get a chainsaw and be careful with the neighbors property and cable wires so it was definitely a wise choice to hire a professional like the monkey man versus trying to possibly save money but risk my life or potentially damaging my neighbors property or something else! I've cut many trees myself, but not one of this size so having monkey man was well worth it. He even went the extra mile to make some cutting boards for the neighbors who requested. He was able to give me an estimate based on the video I sent. As they were in the area, he gave me a call asking if I had some time today to come by with the crew. They called after their job was done and came by and cut down all of my tall trees. They were really efficient and cleaned up really really well, including taking a pile of leaves (from the palms) that I had left for the next green waste day. Although they were using my green bin to haul green waste out to their trucks, they emptied it all into their trucks and left my bin empty. The back where they were working as well as the front where they cut the trees into smaller pieces to load were cleaned up really well before leaving. Highly recommend!!

We are still not sure how it made its way into our yard, but the damage happened fast and the tree was gone within three weeks. Nick is one of the most knowledgeable arborists we have ever met. He quickly came out to inject the affected tree and spray the surrounding trees to stop the spread before the beetles could take over our entire yard. We are so grateful for his quick action. Nick and his team did an excellent and thorough job trimming our five trees in a single day, as well as removing the dead Schefflera tree, which was already rotting from the inside. That tree had been part of our yard for 25 years, so losing it was heartbreaking. After I received a prompt reply to my inquiry and a reasonable estimate from Jon/Oahu Tree Preservation, I contracted them to do the job. Jon and his employee were both personable and professional as they went about their work (very quietly, I might add!). They understood my concern about not disturbing bird nests, and, also at my request, they left untouched some branches that provide a screen between our side yard and the neighbor's windows. They cleaned up after themselves, leaving two airy, well shaped trees. Jon also planted a young grapefruit tree for me and continues to provide advice. I can't say enough about the professionalism Jon puts into not only his on-site work but also his communications. He responds to email messages quickly and completely, never leaves you hanging from your poor tree.

And installation of new turf, irrigation system, and vinyl fence. JBL took care of hauling away all the old materials and bringing all the new materials/plants for our project.
