As someone who was never super fit or athletic, I have felt intimidated by certain gyms. I tried out MOA 7 months postpartum and always felt comfortable working out here since. At the beginning, the trainers would take the time to modify the workouts at my workout level and I never felt pressured to go beyond what I felt comfortable with. I'm the member it's been 2 year, and I have a lot of problem with this gym. The employee right there they don't understand what going on. I went and I asked what's the procedure if I want to travel for 2 month she told me i need to freeze my account. I just ask the questions, but I surprised after 2 day they sent me an email they freez my account, and I called the other employee answer me he checked my account after I asked him why I got this email he told he didn't see any nots or anything for freezing my account. Today I got another email they chargee go freezing. I went there and ask nobody have any answers for me. Before that I have another prboplm when I got my membership the manger gave us a good deal, and I have a contact guest with each member, and each time I went there with my son I'm the member and my son as a guest with me they don't want me in until I asked for the manager and they pul my contract. It's very frustrating for me and my son. He hate to come with me because of that. I have a vet bad experience with them. read more

Been going here for a little over 6 months now and there is an unbelievably supportive and knowledgeable staff here. The coaches instill great fundamentals in all of the members and don't push you into an unsafe environment. I was initially concerned about being able to keep up with the workouts for the first week, but it turns out ALL workouts and movements have multiple "scaled" versions, so all workouts are very beginner friendly. Also, the community is fantastic. All very friendly and outgoing (that's what makes this place special). You'll find people of all levels - much less about competing with each other and more about improving yourself. They even have 5AM and 6:15AM classes M-F, so you can get your workout in before work if you have family commitments after work. No excuses! read more

I recently completed 3 years at Moa Fitness (formerly 24 K Crossfit) and this is hands down the best fitness facility in San Diego County. The coaches are top notch and the facility is spacious, clean and welcoming. I have lost weight, toned up muscles and improved my overall health! I am feeling healthy both physically as well as mentally. I consider myself one of the older guys, but at Moa Fitness your age doesn't matter. The workouts are challenging but can be modified for all fitness levels. 24k is an AWESOME box. The people are supportive, encouraging, and aren't cliquey. The box has a wide array of equipment from several rowers and airdyne bikes (if you've used them you know it's a love/hate relationship with those things..haha) to kettlebells, jump ropes, GHD machines, barbells/weights, boxes, bands, and lots and lots of CHALK!! It has a very open feel with two roll up back doors with a nice view and it's well maintained/clean. The owners and coaches really care about everyone who walks through their door. Proper form is important to them and they coach in a way to prevent injuries. You don't have to be the fastest, strongest, or fittest; you just need to be willing to try. They will help modify if you have an injury. I had a foot injury (from running) for several months and they either modified the WODs for me or created a whole new WOD just for me. If you are looking for a kick ass workout and want a positive community of people to work out with, then you should try 24k. You will be glad you did! read more

I've been a 24K Crossfit member for only 8 weeks now and it's already beginning to change my life, let me explain... All my life I've wanted to lead an active lifestyle but for whatever reason it really never worked for me. That being said I'm a heavy set guy and the majority of my life I've had a BMI of over 30 which is no good. I've been a LA Fitness member for years and even worked with their trainers but it really never got me anywhere. I picked up cycling 1-3 times per week which helped me a shed some weight but again it only took me so far. I even added yoga to my regiment and it was a challenge at times but not a life changer by any means. So I juggled cycling, the gym and yoga 6 days a week for a few years and the progress was just so slow and mundane - I was in need of a change. Enter Crossfit! I drove by 24K Crossfit almost everyday on my way home and finally looked it up, saw a free one day trial voucher on their site and committed myself to giving it a try. I had heard of it a handful of times before but never bothered to look it up mostly thinking it was going to be too hard for me and I had a general sense of fear, uncertainly and doubt when it came to doing things I had never done before. I was soooooo skeptical walking in but that all changed quickly. Everyone, owners, staff, members, all of them were so welcoming, friendly, encouraging and kind. There were about 12 people there on that day and by the time that 1 hr was finished I knew at least 8 of them by name. I met people from all different background and at all different fitness levels. We all went through the workout of the day together and it was a great success. I was joyfully sore in places I had not know it was even possible to be sore in and I was "gold blooded". In just a few weeks time my chest, shoulders and upper legs have all seen massive degrees of improvement. The two things I love most about 24K CF are the fantastic selection of workouts accompanied by their incredible coaches that have been a proven recipe for success and advancement. Third time was a charm! I found 24k Crossfit on Yelp and I decided to try it out. I started in February, it's been almost 3 months. The atmosphere and the coaches are amazing! I never thought CrossFit was for me, until I wandered in here, with the BF, who has already been coming here for a while. My initiation WOD was Murph in 2015 (yes I came back) and immediately was welcomed with open arms. I dabbled here and there when I was in town, and finally have become a member. Friends I know told me that crossfit will hurt me. I'm 63 yrs old and probably the oldest member there, so I see their point. I had my doubts. But I have never hurt myself due to the fantastic coaches at this gym. The individual training makes all the difference. I had tried another gym previous to this one and it didnt go well. I had never done any xfit stuff before, and always been avoiding places where people shout, "Cooome oooon you got this!!!" and throwing in a bunch of high-fives at you... listen, when you're snatching and running and thrusting and box jumping with sweat stinging your eyes and stars flashing before you, you're gonna want to be part of a loving group of people. I was looking to build leg strength for running better races and only planned to be there for 60 days between half marathons but I'm telling you that you will be addicted! It's been 4 months now and I have no plans of leaving anytime soon. It's super affordable too if you do the monthly unlimited and go 2-3 times a week it comes out much less than my hot yoga membership. I love how different and challenging every work out is. If you have "workout A.D.D." like me it's the perfect place. It feels like a complete workout in one hour and you walk out feeling and looking different than when you walked in. I can bet you'll love every coach. They push you without being pushy and make sure you have good form before anything. I also bet you'll make a few new friends too.
