We had so much fun here last summer we couldn't wait to visit again. Unfortunately this visit was a complete 180 from last summer. Now, it was a partially due to a storm that caused a power outage, and I know this isn't the KOA's fault whatsoever, but the way things were handled were terrible and communication was very poor. They simply didn't care or try to do anything to make the stay a better experience. We spent two days in the heat with no pool access, no power to our campsite, and they only texted about an activity on Saturday that would have cost us $45 for our 3 kids to color on some t shirts. They let us know Saturday that the pool was probably going to remain closed for the rest of our visit, which was the main reason we stayed here. And somehow they could accept payment for the t shirt activity but they couldn't sell us some propane from the office. Definitely looking at other options for RV parks in Moab for the future. read more

this place is well Run. Lots of sites. A nice swimming pool. Plenty of washers and dryers. Showers and bathrooms were OK clean. They have a lot of activities to do for the kids. They had music up by the gift shop, which was nice however a Group of campers had table cloths on all the tables, claiming all the tables however not space for anyone else to sit down. This is at the far end of town. There were other places that were closer to arches in Moab that I'm sure are also satisfactory. it is not possible to walk to Moab, you would have to drive. read more

My first night at a KOA in decades was this one in Moab late this ('23) May. It was lovely, honestly. Had everampers with families would want. Beautiful pool, 24 hr laundry, private showers & lavs. I have only good things to say about this KOA. Note to self & you: Forget tent camping in windy places. Sleep not possible. Beautiful views from our campsite (#50), close to the rest rooms. Nice walking path to walk dogs. It was a busy place, nearly full on our Monday arrival. Rates were highest we have paid on our entire cross country RV trip, from Washington to Florida. Location is excellent for visiting the Arches and other scenic sites. We took highway 128 out of town via the most beautiful drive we've taken along the Colorado River (highly recommend if you have the time). It was breath taking and absolutely worth it. read more

Great Vacation Place. This KOA is located fairly close (about 8-9 miles), to the Arches National Park. It is located just outside Moab and is in a beautiful quiet setting. The employees were very polite and professional. All amenities were clean. Will definitely return. read more

Great little campground! Traveled to Moab for a Marine Corps reunion with my wife. We rented one of the larger cabins and split it with a buddy, his daughter and niece. It had a master bedroom with a queen sized bed, a set of bunk beds and a futon couch/bed. The beds all had pillows and linens. It also had a nice small bathroom and shower, it was stocked with towels and washcloths. The kitchen had a microwave, full size fridge and was stocked with plates, bowls, glasses and silverware. Outside you have a covered porch, a covered patio area with a table and four chairs, along with a propane grill and a fire pit. It was a nice cabin, but my wife and me said the next time we go out we'll just get a cabin to ourselves, five in the cabin was a little cramped. The check-in office is also a store with a nice selection of food, drinks and other necessities. There are grocery stores just a few minutes away. The staff was great. You're in a close distance to the National Parks, so it's very easy to get around. The Canyonlands airport is about 30 minutes away also. Moab is a great little town and the KOA made our trip that much more fun. read more

While we were in Moab we stayed here. It was a very busy place. The place was packed. The store and office were nice and the yard games and pool were great. The park was very convenient to the trails, town and stores. The only draw back was the cable. The cable Was bad. All the channels were snowy and hard to watch. After a long hot day and a shower, a little TV hits the spot but not here. Otherwise it was good! read more

Enjoyed 3 nights in a cabin. Our first cabin had toilet issues and they had room to move us to another cabin thank goodness. It was more central to everything(louder) but working plumbing was worth it. Bed was comfy enough. This cabin has a mini fridge but no other kitchen items like some KOA cabins. Grill is outside and the outdoor space was nice with table/large chairs/firepit. Camp store was large and staff were beyond friendly and helpful! We enjoyed the hot tub a few nights. Our last night the hot tub was less hot and others commented on it too. But when it's warm, it's wonderful. YOu have views of red rocks one way, snow covered mountains the other way. Pool was large, plenty of outdoor seating. Lawn games available. Laundry was large enough we didn't have to wait for washer or dryer even though it felt like someone was always going in or out of that space. Absolutely enjoyed out time here, we will be back, fantastic KOA! read more

Everyone that works here is very helpful. It was nice to be shown to our exact site by one of the workers in their golf cart. We did a 30 day roadtrip and this was the only campsite that offered that level of service. They have corn hole and ring toss games available for anyone to use. There are nice areas to sit around a fire pit. If you are a walker like me this campsite is large and has a lot of fun areas to walk around and explore. Their pool was great also. It was big and very clean. The kids were able to ride their motorcycles around and we had a blast at this site. read more

This KOA is close to town, the staff are uniformly very friendly and accommodating, and there are lovely views of the La Sal Mountains to the east. Overall the amenities are not bad--plenty of bathrooms and showers and they are kept clean. The laundry is convenient and prices in the camp store are reasonable. The WiFi service leaves something to be desired--it went out too often. The big issue is highway noise! The KOA is situated right on US 191 which is the major truck route through eastern Utah. And there is nothing between that highway and the tent sites and cabins. I was in a tent and was repeatedly jarred from sleep every night each time another semi came jake-braking into Moab. The cabins and RVs are probably quieter but I doubt I'll ever use a tent site there again. The proprietors could improve the situation by building a wooden fence or planting a nice line of trees along the highway to cut the noise down. read more

This has by far been our favorite KOA. Tucked right outside of Moab with a breathtaking view, and great amenities, it's well worth it. The sites are spacious, the staff friendly and insightful for recommendations of places to see, and things to do in Moab. They do offer tours and partner with many local excursion businesses. Aside from the sites, they are currently observing social distancing practices, offering a safe and healthy place for families and individuals. The pool is considered the best in town and I would have to agree. If you're visiting Moab and looking for a great place to stay, look no further. read more

I did not stay here, I had a reservation that was canceled, and this review is more on how they read or don't read emails. We saw that weather was starting to cool down for our upcoming stay and emailed to ask if the hot tub closes for the season at the same time as the pool and the response was we keep the pool open for the season as long as possible. It didn't really answer my question but it wasn't really that big of a deal. Now we are on our trip and because the weather was getting much colder than anticipated we were trying to figure if we needed to cancel our upcoming stay at the KOA or try and move dates around if possible. I emailed the KOA this - Our plans may be changing a bit for our timing in Moab. From what I understand if I have to cancel my reservation I have to do it two days prior to our stay and we will get a refund of our deposit minus $10? I then shortly after received an automated cancelation email back stating "We're sorry to see you go, your cancellation is complete. We value you as a customer and hope that you visit us again soon." They canceled my reservation. I reread my email I sent trying to see if maybe I wrote it in a confusing way but it in no way stated I wanted to cancel my reservation. Now on a positive note, they did promptly refund my deposit, because I was apparently within the cancelation window I was inquiring about. I just made a reservation else where because I didn't trust this place much after my two interactions. read more

Been traveling the country for the past 4 weeks staying at KOA's. Avoid this place. It's filthy. The bathrooms haven't been cleaned in ages and the showers have a half dozen hair balls each In them. Management is "friendly" if you call cancelling your reservation due to the quality of the place and then getting charged anyway. They have 20 golf carts running around with workers but nobody is really doing any work. Place is packed- over filled with campers. And to top it off, place is an absolute dust bowl. No dust control whatsoever. Everyone is complaining. There of plenty of campgrounds in the Moab area. Find another one. read more

Never been a huge fan of KOA campgrounds, however when booking our trip to Moab I was attracted to the pool at the Moab KOA. Wanted a place to cool off after hiking out in the 100 degree heat and most campgrounds have these tiny pools that are never really large enough to accommodate all the people. Therefore, we gave it a try and was pleasantly surprised for more than just the size of their pool. Prior to coming I had some specific questions about the size of their sites due to our set up. Tried emailing and never really got a response so figured best to call. When I did and left a message Joann called me back pretty quickly, helped me out and answered all my questions. We are also relatively new at RV camping and finding our way around our fairly new RPod. When we arrived and were setting up we had some issues figuring out a few things and had asked if there was anyone that could help us. Although it was almost their closing time (9pm), one of their crew (Will) came over to our site right away and was very patient and helpful. He spent time with us that lasted beyond their closing hours. In addition, the next morning following our late arrival and setting up in the dark there was a situation that happened with their sewer system that affected our site. We immediately notified the staff and another crew member (Bill) came to help get the situation corrected and cleaned up but to properly do so, we'd have to move sites. Needless to say we weren't happy to have to do this considering we just arrived and set up the night before and were planning on heading out right after breakfast. Unfortunately, we didn't get out and about to around 3:00. However, Bill and the manager Gary were very kind and helpful in making the situation right. We got upgraded to a higher tiered site and they gave us a small discount for our inconvenience and having to move, etc. I have to say we were quite impressed with the level of service we received. Although it was an unfortunate situation that could have happened anywhere and wasn't something they could control totally, they were very accommodating to making it right. If ever back in Moab, I would definitely stay there again. read more

This was our first KOA experience and other KOAs have a lot to live up to. Hospitable staff, escort to our site, clean bathrooms, lawn games and pool. Not much more to ask for in an RV resort. Also important to mention staff intentionality for health and safety during the pandemic. Plenty of RV options in Moab, make this your choice! read more

A large complex with tent, RVs, and cabins in one location. We stayed in a tent site for three nights. The pros - our site was right next to 5 bathroom/showers. Bathroom were quite clean, hot water in showers. Picnic table with some sun shades (but still very hot on September days). The cons - tent sites are too closed to each other. Any talking in the night sounded very clear to us. The whole KOA site is outside south of town right next to the main road, the noise of cars drove by in the middle of the night was VERY LOUD, to the extend I thought there was an airport next to us. I would not recommend this place for tent camping. read more

Our spot was at the edge of the park, looked to be the newer section so there weren't many shade trees but the spaces are nicely distanced from each other which is a plus. Simply amazing RV experience! The closest KOA to Arches and Canyon Lands National Parks and Dead Horse Point State Park in a setting that is post card worthy 24-7! Catering to everyone from tent campers, RVs of all sizes and offering cabins. We felt welcomed from the beginning: the staff all smiled and was genuinely concerned with our welfare. Arriving to a fully booked park, check-in was a breeze with Bill M & his wife, JoAnn. Their concierge escorted us to our site in a company golf cart. He was very personable and also ran the concession stand near the pool at the entrance to the campground. There is a beautiful swimming pool with a smaller pool for younger children and a hot tub for adults. The pool was excellent at the end of the day to relax and stretch out after whatever activities you had chosen for the day. Very nice extended hours too, until 10 PM. Quiet hours were from 7PM to 10 PM. They provided a large, clean, climate controlled laundry with a big screen TV right at the pool area. It was great to swim, read or watch TV while waiting to switch machines & later fold laundry. There were also multiple well maintained areas for trash disposal and recycling throughout the park. Very children and pet friendly: a 5 mph speed limit, a dog park divided for small and large pets, multiple restrooms and shower facilities, and a manned concierge station at the front entrance. We joined a large family group for an initial 5 days and happily extended for 3 more days without needing to move sites. We will definitely recommend KOA Moab to friends and family and will return in the future when in or near Moab!! read more

DO NOT STAY AT THIS KOA!!!!The manager Brenda and her pregnant sidekick are the rudest two individuals I have encountered on my travels with my family of 5 across country and I've exclusively stayed at amazing KOA's in my cruise america RV rental. We arrived exhausted at 1 am, I called at 9 am with my kids still asleep, and with a 11 am checkout, in a 30' RV, and begged Brenda to find me a spot to stay an extra night to recuperate after 10 grueling hours of driving. She must have said "Mam" interrupting me as I explained our situation 10 times. I finally said "could we at least have a late checkout?" NO she screamed. I said that if someone came to check in to our spot we would leave immediately, as look at my situation we arrived at 1 am who knew when someone would check in to my spot today? Not to mention check in is at 1pm and check out is at 11am so that's 2 hours of basically empty gravel. She hung up on me! I guess I was trying too hard to find a solution as she clearly had zero interest in helping. I called and called and she would not answer my call! I sent my husband and son out to walk as I began frantically calling other RV sites and finally found one. When he came back he told me he stopped in the office to talk to her and she said "I would've helped her if she hadn't been yelling at me." The nerve!! I never raised my voice, she clearly did not like my questions. So my kids rushed to put their suits on to swim for 30 min before we had to flee the site I paid $120 for to basically sleep and leave. Lo and behold my husband found a gun in the bathroom! I told him to go tell Brenda and she came running out. Imagine if my 13 year old had entered that pool bathroom first and picked it up out of curiosity? The police arrived and asked if he could question my husband who at that point was getting the RV ready as quickly as possible to pick us all up at the pool to not break her 11am checkout. He asked me if he could speak to him? I told him Brenda may charge us an extra day as we were approaching 11am. He said it would be fine he wouldn't let that happen. Another male manager was with them all discussing what had happened, we got in the RV and I asked my husband to let me out at the office so I could have a word with that manager to tell him about his lovely employee Brenda and how awful she had treated us. Brenda was there (who I recognized immediately as she sounded like an older woman) and I asked to speak to the manager. She said "I am the manager." So I introduced myself as the girl who was begging her to let us stay one extra night or at least an hour later, and that I never yelled at her like she had told my husband, which was just her excuse for hanging up on me and not helping me. I told her it was a worried tired mother begging for help and that any nice person would've said, "let me see what I can do." The pregnant lady next to her who must've been her girlfriend as she crazily began defending her began screaming at the top of her lungs in Spanish "largarte" which means "get the hell out" and Brenda began yelling "I'm calling 911 leave my property." Honestly, I felt like I was in the twilight zone!! Who treats people this way?? Especially after we found a gun in her bathroom site!! How dangerous is that? She should have begged us for forgiveness not threatened to call the cops!! I said why? Because I'm speaking to you, what are the cops going to do? Am I not allowed to speak? I should've let them come as they were threatening me by screaming to leave the property. Like I said, Stay away from this place, the two ladies who run it are lunatics. read more
