Pool was nice, our campsite was nice and clean, and the staff were friendly. Shoutout Randy, he jumped our car when our battery died.

It's a great RV campground in Utah, there's so many amazing offloading trails. One of the trails that we went on had beautiful rock, scenery, and water to go through. Another one we found dinosaur footprints. And I love how they're marked off so we can get out of the cars to go see the dinosaur footprints. We got to see lizards and enjoy sunsets. It was full hook ups. And there was so many activities for the kids to do like go swimming play cornhole connect for horseshoes. They had activity nights, definitely kid, friendly, and family friendly. They have bathrooms and showers The staff was very friendly. Loved all the fire pits around the pool. Wish we could've hit more of the offloading trails, but they were all day trips. Definitely a good experience. read more

We had a wonderful stay at the KOA in Moab! The campground was very clean, and the sites were nicely spaced with some trees in between for shade & privacy. The scenery was absolutely amazing, a beautiful backdrop to relax & enjoy. The staff were friendly, welcoming & we really appreciated the escort to our site which was a nice touch. Truly could not have been happier with our stay at the Moab KOA! I was surprised to learn the pool was open and heated in April and that there was a giant hot tub - perfect after a long day of hiking. They've got fun lawn games (cornhole, giant connect 4, ladder toss...), activities throughout the week, a beautiful playground, and fire tables set up in the common area and by the pool! The staff were all super nice - one even provided us a spontaneous astronomy tour when he overheard us mention the beautiful night sky and learned we wouldn't be there for the formal presentation (which is in Thursdays). The view from our little cabin was beautiful and far from the road, so no highway noise for us. Wi-fi worked great AND our site had a gas grill (not the advertised charcoal grill) - another huge plus. read more

We camped here last weekend and stayed in one of the cabins. This was our first time staying in a cabin. It's bit more on a pricey side. We stayed here before but in an RV. Also We've stayed at KOAs before in a cabin, so I was a little bummed this one didn't have a fridge in the cabin. Their heater sometimes didn't work so we got a bit cold at night. Our favorite part about this KOA-the pool and hot tub were a huge hit with my kids. Everyone who works here is so nice. The only downside was the bathrooms. Every time I went in, they weren't very clean, and for such a big campground, it felt like there just weren't enough toilets. We never had to wait for the showers, but the toilets it's a problem to wait. read more

They're super nice and there's a pool and whatnot but now there are apartment buildings between the camp and the views! Just rolled in and to say the least we are disappointed. We won't be getting any of the beautiful pictures of sun reflecting on the cliffs. That's the only reason we came to this park. Oh well...... progress must I guess...... Other Han my visual letdown they've done SO much to this place. The slots are great and I like a bunch of stuff. We don't have time to swim but it looks amazing. The staff is super. Notable is that the employees were very friendly. - very clean - never a line for showers - felt very safe - grassy area for the dogs - good selection at the store Do know you're surrounded by red clay that can get messy when wet (it rained during our stay.) So purchase a cheap 7x9' blue tarp beforehand. read more

We stayed here for two weeks on our spring escape working and playing on the road. I considered all the RV parks around Moab, but in the end, for the dates we wanted, KOA ended up having the site we needed. I'm honestly very glad it ended up that way, after being in town and seeing all the other options. First, the pool and hot tub area were fantastic. They had two fire pits, a hot tub that fit at least 14 people, and a beautiful pool that kids seemed to love. Every evening we went down and sat in the hot tub, which was fantastic. It felt like a high quality resort pool. Next, since we are on the road for weeks and weeks, we do laundry regularly. I liked this little laundry room, the machines were clean and newer, and they had a change machine. They even had one larger front loading machine that allowed me to clean my floormats. Our site was nice, we were sort of on the end where all the tent sites started, so it felt open and peaceful. Bathrooms were clean and totally functional. also, the WiFi was really good - better than most. Now, granted, we just use campground WiFi for our phones, so it isn't good enough to use to work. We have MIFI devices for that, and I will note, our T-Mobile hotspot worked perfectly here, as did our AT&T cell phones. The location is a bit out of town, but we didn't find this a problem, it was a quick 7 minute drive to the grocery store and town. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! read more

This was one of the only places we could get in. We didn't realize there was some Jeep event but maybe that's what it's like every weekend here. The campground itself is very well maintained & when you arrive you're escorted by the staff in a golf cart to your rv spot. We also noticed throughout the day & night there's security on golf carts patrolling the campground. I liked that there was a dog area. There's also a nice pool but it was PACKED with kids so we didn't really have the desire to use the amenities. I also noticed as we were packing up the staff was cleaning & sanitizing between visitors. The only complaint I would have is our location, I wish we had a spot closer to the dog area. We were sandwiched in a middle isle so we had people on each side of us & in front of & behind us. And getting to the dog area we had to take the main winding road instead of walking through peoples camp spots, which would've been a lot more convenient. read more

Our son loved the pool, where we could eat dinner while he got the wiggles out and made friends with kids of friendly fellow campers. We were happy with the laundry facilities, restrooms, trash pickup, and the hookups and patio at our site. We would recommend this KOA to anyone. read more

This has not been a favourite KOA for me. We camped here and the sites are plenty big enough with a wooden table and chairs including a small bbq fire place. We came here over 4th July weekend and the place was packed. Plenty of shade on our site during the early morning hours and late afternoon. The pool area was hopping and nice cool down from the unrelenting heat-remember the sunscreen and water! My biggest moan is the bathrooms-they say they are cleaned periodically but every time I used them, they were so dirty and gross. I understand it's a busy weekend but maybe up the times you clean it? Just a thought. KOA is definitely a firm favourite for many people including me. Check them out for yourself. read more

holy shit this dirt pile should actually be called "engine brake campground" as most of the campsites are just a few feet from highway 191. It feels like the campground is built under the highway, if such a thing is even possible. If just one of the 34 million tractor trailers that travel this road during the night were to veer less than .0091 inches off the road, I'm pretty sure that at least half of campground occupants would be wiped out before the trucker could even think about touching the brakes. it's horrendously loud. Also....the ground seems to be made of some exotic alloy that is totally impervious to tent stakes, so be sure to bring a diesel powered jackhammer to prep your assigned camp site if you're planning to use a tent. If you are looking for slightly better ambiance and a quieter sleep, go take your sleeping bag and walk aimlessly into the desert until you die, because that would be a better fate than staying at the Moab KOA. Also, the dude right next to us snored all night. Not the KOA's fault, just thought I'd mention it because it was the cherry on top of this shit sundae. ***the Wi-Fi is pretty good though! This is a large KOA conveniently located right off the main highway, US-191. The sites and roads in the park are gravel with most of the sites being pull through. There are a large number of tent and cabin sites around the edges of the park. The park has a nice pool area that was popular during our stay, clean bathrooms and showers and an off leash dog run area for our four legged friends. The wifi only worked occasionally. As with most KOA parks, the price is a little higher than it should be, but you get the peace of mind of knowing that the campground will almost always be in good shape. The campsite itself could have been better. It would help if the staff makes some attempt to flatten the area where a tent would go. It is Moab, so you expect rocks...but, they could invest a little time in the campsite to make it a better sleeping experience for tent campers. The bathrooms were adequately clean, however, we did not take a shower because we felt it was not clean enough. Staff seemed unhappy. They did not smile and were cold. They did professionally got their jobs done. The one problem they have that nothing an be done to change is the highway noise. It is very loud and kept us up all night. I wasn't sure what to expect from a KOA but I loved how they take you to the site so you know where you are at. I was a bit disappointed being so close to our neighbors during COVID. I wasn't expecting it to be so busy with so many kids. I didn't feel like there was a lot of social distancing. We had trouble leveling the RV. It was nice to have a designated dog path except kids were riding their dirt bikes on it and we kept having to move out of the way. Got woken up early in the am from the kids next to us. Sprint and T-Mobile work well there. I loved being on an end lot, however the huge tree caused us not to be able to put the awning out. We stayed for one night. The sites are close together, but there was room for our car, a utility trailer and put tent. We paid more for a site with electrical ($45). This KOA is so great. We love camping here while we're in Moab. The little convenience store is amazing. It has firewood and s'mores materials and pretty darn close to everything else you'd need. There's a pool and cute little bar area. One star down because the staff is very hit or miss. They're either extremely helpful or completely the opposite. Also, some of the campsites have literally no shade and others are well shaded. Some updated landscaping to provide a little more even coverage would be awesome. Otherwise, this spot is great. We stayed here for a couple nights, in pull-through spots, two different spots because i added a night last minute. Very easy to navigate through the place and into the spots. A few pull-throughs have concrete patios. They all have gravel pads. Didn't need to adjust for level on the second spot. All have nice views of a canyon wall. There's a nice pool and other areas. The staff was very helpful, especially one of the yard men (who just started working there this week.) I should have asked for his name- i would have given kudos at the office. It's a little bit out of the town area, but i like that being away from all that busy stuff. We'r had agreat time. read more

There is a whole list of rules that aren't stated on their website or in the confirmation email, such as, no tents allowed in the RV area. They let us know about the "policy" after we had set up the tent, inflated the air mattress and spread out the bedding. The RV space was plenty long enough for the camper and the tent. It was just another tactic to nickel and dime you into having to buy a tent site as well. Not friendly toward the Jeeping/rock crawling/side by side crowd. Apparently taking the dipstick out to check an oil level is considered "working on your vehicle" (another no no) and will get you scolded. If your rock crawler or side by side is not licensed by the state it cannot be off the trailer or be driven through the KOA. The hosts advertised "sparkling clean restrooms, well-kept facilities" but the showers have been plumbed backwards. So instead of turning the facet all the way on for hot water, you turn it slightly on in order to get to a warm shower. Problem is, having it barely on equals the lowest water pressure. They've used red paint to mark on the handle and over the "C" for you to decipher the backward system. My first shower was a cold one - there was red paint only on the handle and that didn't clue me in. If you want to be on the outskirts of town, decipher clues in order to take a hot shower, be hassled and constantly monitored by old men on their golf carts then be sure to stay at the Moab KOA. We know where we won't be staying next year on our annual Moab trip. read more

I wouldn't recommend this place for a plethora of reasons. Owners must have staff "nickel and dime" the guests. Rhonda in the office was a giant Twatt. I also caught her in a LIE. I went to the office to return some keys and a ring that I found and she had a bug up her butt the whole time. She was incredibly rude. Needs to be fired for yelling at a guest as she walked out the door. 1) The Rv site cost 98.39, THATS ridiculous, but ok, I did it because we needed a place to stay. 2) they charged my card for something else and I have no idea what for. (Found out it was for a late fee, Rhonda said someone came in to check in and we were still in our spot.) That's a LIE! We were not in our spot, we were parked where the dude in the cart said to park. Rhonda stated that we had to LEAVE the park at 11:00am. Rhonda lied and said that someone came in at 11:00 to check into our spot. This is a LIE, check in time is not 11am. It's so easy to verify too, that spot is still empty. 3) it's WAY out of town, if you wanted to walk to all the cool shops and eating establishments, good luck, this park is really far away from downtown Moab. 4) Another reason is that our campsite had the Rv waste dump that goes uphill. Can't drain your tank that way. We moved to an empty site to dump and got yelled at by a dude in a cart. Do They drive around looking for people to bother? 5) I did laundry at this site and one washer took my money, and one washer was broken, also one dryer would not take my quarters. It was 2.00 to wash laundry, but after I had to pay 98.39 for the site you would think it would be free. I don't think I will be using much of my KOA membership if they all are like this one. Really disappointed with the way I was treated, and even tho I was unhappy, I was cordial. read more

For over a decade we put in 100 days a year at KOAs all across the United States. It is hard to believe this is a KOA franchise We rented a lodge cabin for a week, the very first words out of the counter staff's mouth were that they were booked full and there were no refunds....No hello, welcome, nothing...We are full and there are no refunds if you leave early...great start. The fella zoomed up in his cart, brought us to our lodge and zoomed away before we could even open the door....which we couldn't open because the door fit so poorly the lock wouldn't work right. We were told to bring our own linens, but they should have said to bring our own towels, bath towels, pillows, broom and toaster too! In a supposedly fully functioning kitchen we had pot and pans, but no dish soap, no dish cloths, no sponges, no way to clean the dishes pot or pans, no dish pan or drying rack, or any towels to dry them with. The sinks were disgusting, the only item in the lodge was an industrial roll of paper towels. The "queen couch that pulls out into a sleeper" was a disgusting futon I would never allow anyone to sit on. The lodge was filthy, most of the lights were missing bulbs or didn't work at all. The shower wouldn't drain and everything had old food from previous renters stuck to it, crumbs were filling the cracks in the log table, I took photos of everything, even the chunks of food stuck to the legs of the tables and chairs. We had to go to shopko department store and spend $200 on blankets, pillows, toasters, dish soap, sponges, towels, dish towels, kitchen and bath cleaners, a broom and a toaster. I had stopped at the office to complain, and say the Wi-Fi didn't work either, the answer was, well leave if you don't like it, good luck finding a place the town is packed this weekend, and, the Wi-Fi didn't work that far from the office, too bad. Upon our return from town shopping we found the door wide open on the cabin and hoped they were there cleaning it but no, the door is falling apart so badly it blew open while we were away even though it was locked. Not once all week did anyone ever pick up the garbage although they said they would. And all this for $200 a night! If KOA corporate allows a campground with their name on it to degenerate to this degree I'd recommend staying away from all KOAs read more

Traveling during busy holiday weekend with child I didn't want to hunt for campsites. Easy check in, all staff we encountered were very friendly. Pool is the big draw. Really nice and so great for a busy child who can't handle sitting in the heat. If you are adults looking for sexy time this isn't the pool- lots of kids! Camp store items are fair in price. You can hear the highway but that's the way it is. We did tent site and some sites have some shade trees. D-8 and 9 looked shady. Bathrooms won't win any awards for luxury but they are functional and appreciated. read more

My husband and I usually sleep in the car when we go on trips but we decided to treat ourselves by getting a cabin in beautiful Moab. The views were unobstructed and beautiful. We kept our dogs at home this trip since so many trails don't allow them, but the cabin had bowls and treats for them!! The bed and pillows were super comfy and what I loved most is that they had toiletries and soap, shampoo and conditioner! I had completely forgot to bring all of that so I was so glad they had it. They didn't have silverware, plates, cups, etc. Thankfully I had brought some. When we pulled in the check into our cabin at 2:47 Rhonda said your room is not ready. We have from 11-3 to have them clean so come back at 3. When I came back at 3 the room was still not ready. She stated that we had to come back later. We finally were able to get the keys at 3:15. Later in the day my husband asked for more kcups since we were staying for 3 nights. She wanted to charge us $1.00 for each kcup. My husband was like don't we get enough coffee for our stay. She then said I guess I will pay for it out of my own pocket. Not sure why this koa was lacking customer service. The cabin was really cute and the bed was comfy. A little overpriced. read more

I originally wanted a campground closer to town but they were full so we landed here. Pitch was excellent for length, not exactly level but perfectly fine and plenty of width. The store is nice and the laundry has plenty of machines. There is no playground but the pool is fantastic. For bikers they have a dedicated repair stand with tools. We originally had booked a basic cabin for $86/night for 3 nights. But after spending 1.5 weeks traveling through Utah staying in cabins and hotels that had bathrooms in them, we decided to upgrade to a deluxe cabin studio. Unfortunately, this increased our price dramatically, and we contemplated cancelling our reservation and finding a new place, but were too tired to research a new spot and figured we'd probably loose our deposit anyway. We ended up liking the studio and it met our needs. They gave us a cabin in the back of the property which faced the La Sal Mountains, which was a beautiful view. The only real downfalls of this place are the cost and the location. It is about 10 miles from the downtown area, out in the middle of nowhere, basically the last stop out of town. It's about a 20 min drive to the stoplight of Arches NP. read more

Stayed in tent site with a 6 person limit. Next to us was a group of 20 boys, part of a biking group (probably Boy Scouts) - in and out of their site - early morning and late night. Only got 15 minutes in pool before a group -- say 10 -- of boys who took over pool and made the 300 sq foot pool seem even smaller than it actually is. Seems like the KOA should have some rules about groups and supervision. Instead mothers are having to intervene so their kids can swim. Others just leave. Won't come back again -- this my third time but it's not fun having to manage the bands of boys that seems to be paying the same amount for their site with 20 as my family of 4 paid. Additionally bathroom and shower facilities are not repaired and are yucky dirty. read more

Staff was excellent. Paying for the extras of the koa was not worth it in my opinion. The bathrooms were sub par- water pressure was not great, the lights in one did not work, and the heaters seemed like they were stuck on making showering far too hot. It's located right off the highway just out of town, you hear semi trucks and other vehicles accelerating at a high rate of speed throughout the night. We will likely choose somewhere else for our next Moab adventure. read more

First time at a KOA and we were pleasantly surprised. Only drawback was it was loud being on the highway, but that seems to be the nature of Moab. The staff was friendly and the place was spotless. The amenities were excellent as we were looking to clean up after a week touring. We tried the pool, hot tub, shower, market, and laundry. They also fill propane tanks and have an RV dump. KOA should be ashamed to include this Campground Location as part of their family. Unfortunately, I booked a cabin here for 3 nights without reading any reviews, assuming that all KOAs had the same high quality of customer service and amenities. Pretty much all the negative reviews hit the problems on the head that I am experiencing: 1. Wifi is awful. I can't get a connection INSIDE the cabin, and the only place I can get a semi-decent one is sitting outside on the porch. 2. The front desk staff is awful. When it comes to problems, they are unsympathetic and unwilling to help. I asked two questions- Could I move to a cabin farther away from the highway? and Could I get a chair so I could use the desk in my cabin? Brandy checked the system and said she could move me to another cabin, naming the number. It was about 400 yards farther away from the highway. I thought ANYTHING to get farther away from the loud noise of traffic would be helpful especially since I was sleep-deprived, but when I said, "Okay. I'd like to move there," she rescinded the offer, saying it's not worth it for her to ask housekeeping to clean 2 cabins. Okkkkaaayy... why did she offer the cabin in the first place??? So rude. When I asked for a chair, she informed me that economical cabins do not have chairs, and when I mentioned that I had stayed at another KOA (in Cannonville / Bryce) in the same exact type of cabin lodging it included a chair, she didn't have a reply to that. As far as customer service goes, they are incredibly awful. Especially Brandy. 3. Their prices are about 30%+ higher than other KOAs for the exact same cabin lodging. Their prices are also much higher on weekends, BUT it is not based on actual supply and demand as far as I can tell. The other cabins surrounding me are not occupied, so it looks like they jack up their rates artificially for weekends. I have to stay here for 2 more nights, but it's very likely I will cut my losses and just leave. It's unfortunate as I was a fan of KOA and had come to rely on their campgrounds UP UNTIL THIS POINT. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION AT ALL. YOUR MONEY IS BETTER SPENT ELSEWHERE. read more

I've stayed here twice now, once in a camping spot and another time in a rustic cabin and it was amazing both times. They have a new pool now which looks awesome and the view is wonderful. We mountain bike in the area frequently and stay at RV park cabins. We stayed here for four nights in late April 2013. We really like the natural landscaping and nice views of the cliffs and slick rock in the distance. The park is clean but not manicured like most. Nice to have rabbits hopping around and some natural ground cover growing. The standard cabin was excellent and clean. Mattress was reasonable. Service was good. We arrived at night and our info was available on their late arrival clipboard. The park is 4 miles south of Moab. It only takes a few minutes to drive to town. We found no inconvenience. Our only concern with this park are the restrooms. Each restroom building has only 4 toilets which aren't allocated by sex. Each toilet room, not partitions / stalls, has a sink and mirror. We were fortunate in that the park was mostly empty but you can imagine how long it would take to get a toilet in the morning with campers shaving, fixing their hair, etc and occupying a toilet. Once you get your own toilet room it is nice privacy however. Each facility serves dozens of campsites, cabins, and RV pull-throughs. 4 toilets is way under what it should be. There are four showers in each restroom building. This number is well under what we have available at other RV parks for the number of sites around them. WiFI was really bad and our cabin was directly under an access point. ATT cell service was decent so our iPhones and iPad worked fine. We probably won't return only because of the limited toilet facilities. read more
