Superb experience for a sensitive emergency medical procedure that they treated with extreme empathy. The facility is brand new feeling and very clean. I was seen almost immediately. 105 stars! to this Hospital for the very professional service I received a couple of weeks ago. Let me describe the incident. I had reservations to camp at Devils Garden Campground inside Arches National Park but the distance on the narrow road from the entrance to the campground is about 22 miles and because we were taking a Got Air Balloon ride at sunrise I got very little sleep, then at high noon and after the balloon ride we went hiking to some of the Arches, drank a couple of bottles of water but still got dehydrated due also to a runny nose which in combination with the altitude and the effect of some cold medicine really took a toll on me, that night I got up at 2am to get a drink of water and without warning I fainted and hit the floor like a sack of potatoes. Long story short paramedics took me to this hospital at 2am. The ER personnel were waiting for me and took care immediately after arrival, I had no cuts bruises or broken bones but they still had to do a CT scan of my skull and blood tests. The doctor and nurses did an incredible job and treated me with respect and compassion We're done at 5am so to return to the campground about 11 miles away we found out there is no Uber in Moab and like song says "in the dessert you can't remember your name" we had no way to make it back except the Supervisor of the hospital gave us a ride on his personal vehicle and did not want to take any money, God bless you sir and the same to all the people involved in taking care of me and my wife. I was here visiting from slc my husband was a vendor at a festival well I woke up in excruciating pain In my belly I have a known hernia that likes to get stuck I was in so much pain I messed up where to put my pcp and my emergency contact realized it crossed out and rewrote in proper box and my husband in the emergency contact spot. the Doctor accused me of falsifying information then tried to give me Tylenol for 10/10 pain score I told them I've taken max dose of Tylenol today which is 4 grams throughout the day or 4000 mg nurse treated me like I was stupid when I said I've had the 4 grams today and goes so you have had 4000 mg today I said yes it's the same amount my belly is ripping apart I'm not remembering all the lingo right now. Then they tried to scan me without pain meds I can't lay down without being in excruciating pain they said no pain meds without the scan so tortured me for the scan to which I felt a tearing in my abdomen in the scannet and they still wouldn't do anything any sent me back to my hotel crying in pain read more

My husband and I recently moved to Moab and due to a series of unfortunate events, we've been to the urgent care 3 times and the ER 1 time in 3 months. After receiving health care in California with Kaiser for the past 30 years, I was impressed that this small facility gave us such great care and I could tell that we mattered to them. I rarely felt that with Kaiser. The front desk staff is usually friendly (not always) but the nurses and doctors are wonderful. read more

This is not even a good place to go to die, unless you're into being ridiculed, accused of lying, and treated like a piece of crap. 4.5 years of nothing being wrong except maybe wanting some dope. Then finally community hospital in grand junction found, 2 broken vertebra, the disk between them had slid into my spinal column, 2 broken ribs, a broken tailbone, and a broken hip! !!!!! Hello!!!! I found this all out because 2 times I went in for a broken hand and was told there was nothing wrong with it. So after 2 surgeries on my perfectly fine hand, which required pins to hold it back together, all these other things were found. So 6 surgeries later, I'm here to tell you, just buy a fifth of whiskey, burn 10 grand in their parking lot, then drive to grand junction. At least then you'll be warm and drunk instead of just 10 grand lighter! They had a bill board on the highway that stated they were in the top 20 trauma centers in the area. How far do you have to drive and how many states do you have to go through to find 20 trauma centers around here? I think someone may have pointed out that if they couldn't do better than top 20, maybe they shouldn't say anything to draw attention to it! It was taken down pretty quickly. If you find yourself wanting to complain maybe you'll get lucky and Darcy will be wearing her pink tootoo while she tries pretend like she's going to do something to change the sorry excuse for health care there, when she's really never willing or able to make any changes or offer any reparations to make up for the lack of health care you've gotten. But be assured, they will double or triple bill you. That is one aspect this hospital had perfected. read more

I was recently traveling through Moab, when I developed troubling symptoms. I was treated by the team at Moab Regional Hospital's Urgent Care Clinic, who quickly diagnosed the issue and provided what my family doctor has confirmed was appropriate treatment. The care I received was superb. In fact, I would say that, in my long life, I have never received such wonderful treatment from any medical practitioners as I did in their clinic. I personally interacted with five of the staff, and every single one of them displayed a level of professionalism, expertise, compassion, humor, and patience that is rare in this fast-paced world. They patiently answered my questions, and lessened my fears. Their competence and charitable demeanor was such a comfort. By the time I left the campus, I understood my health problem, and knew exactly what I should do to recover. I am so grateful. read more

Watch this hospital and their billing department. They will double bill you. Your will get bills and pay on them then get bills dated a before the date of bills you already paid off. Their billing department is a mess and screws up your billing double billing you. Also watch because all your personal info will be talked about with all their family and friends. This place treated me like an animal and I will never forgive them. I came to this hospital with intense pain in my chest (diagnosed with a pericardial infection) and they kept questioning me on drug use (I had done no drugs) and wouldn't even give me a cup of water until they got the results back from a drug test I did not consent to or authorize. The entire experience was painful and disgusting and I hope no one has to go here in their time off need. They made me realize even a hospital won't be there for you when you are alone far away from home and scared for your life. read more

For around 4 years I sought help for the horrible pain in my back. I was repeatedly sent home feeling like a crazy hypochondriac until I was told I also had a side of junky seeking a drug. Even though that didn't make any sense because I had spent around $17000 trying to find out what was causing my back pain and received 0 prescriptions of any kind, I quit going to the doctor for my back pain. I went in for a broken thumb twice in about a year and in half and was told my thumb was not broken my hand was fine everything was aligned perfectly and sent home with yet another odd feeling that I was being judged, I could see that something was wrong in the way it was situated on my hand. I went to to my doctor who is not affiliated with this hospital in any way, and was referred to Western Colorado orthopedic surgeons and I have to tell you they are wonderful. While I was told in Moab that my thumb was fine, when I took those same x-rays they used to diagnose me to the doctors in Grand Junction, I was told they couldn't see anything useful with the x-rays that MRH took. New x-rays were taken and the thumb was diagnosed as broken and oddly enough the doctor could see the old break as well. While I was being mtreated for the injury to my thumb my doctor saw that I went from limping to using a cane to needing a walker, and he suggested I see his colleague doctor Shorten who specializes in spine injuries. He did a new mri which is shown in my photo here. there is an arrow pointing to a disk which has popped out and slipped into my spinal column where it pinched my spinal cord. After receiving shots of cortisone directly into my spinal column It became clear that I had a serious back problem which needed to be addressed more aggressively So in March of 2022 I had back surgery where It was discovered I had two broken vertebrae which were repaired with bone grafts and a synthetic disk was put in between them. Earlier I was seen in bountiful and they found broken ribs so I thought that was what all my pain was about. I'm sure that didn't help, but the broken spine was also a problem! My surgery has been a great success. My legs no longer hurt like they did. On July 29th I had surgery on my thumb. It is never going I be as good as it was the first time mrh sent me home with a bill and a feeling that I wasted their time with being crazy. But at least I know I wasnt crazy at all and that feels pretty good. Another interesting thing is my bill for all of the above treatments including surgeries added together was less out of pocket than one visit to mrh even though no treatment was given. Apparently insults and missinformation are expensive! Also it's very funny that any review I have ever put on the MRH website Rachel website has been immediately taken down. I've always felt that had they ever cared as much about my pain and my need for medical care as they have about their own website being perky and bright and goodness and light I might have received some medical care. The truth is their go to diagnosis is you are crazy and seeking drugs, because they don't know what's wrong with you. And they're X-ray department is a joke. That is probably why doctors who are otherwise good doctors cannot diagnose a problem there. I'm making that judgment from thousands and thousands of dollars worth of visits with absolutely no results if any kind. The sad truth is that I question my own sanity enough that that I walked along with a pinched spinal cord to the point I could have paralyzed myself. Only because I mistakenly valued their opinion of me.. when clearly no one there gave a single tiny crap about me. It's disappointing. Moab is nothing if not consistent. Some day I'll tell you about their hospice worker chatting withmy nieces in the kitchen and yelling to my dying father in another room to go to the light without missing a beat in her conversation. It was made even more surreal by the fact that I refrained from slapping her ears back for it. It's no wonder I feel crazy afteri go there. I suppose you could say it's like the McDonald's I don't have health care. read more

There was only one patient In the ER on a Sunday and was there for over 3 hours so not sure why this ER is this slow every time we come here. Was not allowed in the back with my family member and was told I would be kept updated. I had to continually go up to the receptionist to ask for the nurse to be sent out to update me. If they are not going to allow family back with masks on they should at least update them regularly. read more

Be very careful if you choose to go to Moab Regional Hospital. I was there in October 2015 for a flare up of a condition that I have had previously. I knew that I needed two antibiotics. After I saw the doctor, a nurse came in with those antibiotics, as well as four other pills. He told me that two of the pills were anti-nausea pills and two were another antibiotic. I questioned the need for a third antibiotic and he said that is what the doctor ordered. I said I was not going to take those pills without more information. He left and another nurse came in. The second nurse said that there was NOT a third antibiotic and that the pills the first nurse had said were antibiotics were actually pain pills. I told this nurse I did not want pain pills and he said, "Well you could take them and sell them on the street." I told him I did not want the anti nausea medication either and he said he would have to check with the doctor. We had been there several hours and wanted to leave, so I said I would go ahead and take the anti nausea medication. When I received my bill for this visit, I was charged $148.00 for two Ondansetron ODT 4 mg tablets. When I looked this medication up on line, I found that it could be purchased for $1.00 per tablet. I called Moab Regional Hospital to ask about this apparent error on my bill. The Accounting Department referred me to a nurse and when I spoke to that person she told me that the charge is correct and that "hospitals need to make money, so we mark it up quite a bit." She said that she had gotten this information from the hospital's pharmacist. This response is absolutely outrageous. I have good insurance and paying 10% of $148.00 is not a big deal for me. However, it is completely immoral to mark up a medication from $1.00/tablet to $74.00/tablet only because "the hospital needs to make money." There is a lot wrong with Moab Regional Hospital: nurses who don't know what medication they are administering, nurses who suggest the illegal sale of pain medication, and price gouging solely for profit. Stay away from this place if you can. read more

Unfortunately we had a visit to the emergency room during our vacation but fortunately we went to the Moab Regional Hospital. Short wait at the reception, great receptionist, very friendly and helpful in our time of emergency. Dr Rouzer was the attending emergency room physician. A first we didn't know what to think of him but as he lowered our anxiety level, we couldn't be more impressed. We all felt in very good hands. I am going to nickname him: Dr BJ Hunnicutt. I had to visit this hospital while in Moab for a vacation. I arrived in the ER, via my fiance, unable to breathe properly. They had us sit and wait in the waiting area. They did not get me back until onlookers in the waiting area bean to get VERY UPSET and exclaim "why aren't you doing anything?! this woman needs help!". They came out and got me into a wheel chair. during that time we filled out our paperwork and handed them my cards. NOT ONCE did anyone inform us they do not take out of state insurance! I did not realize my insurance would not be charged until I received an almost 3000.00 medical bill from them in the mail! I fought between them and my insurance for 6 months! it wasn't until I stared threatening to sue that they suddenly were helpful and got the issue fixed. BEWARE! read more
