We brought it to the mall to see what could be done, and the Best Buy next door pointed us here. The two guys were friendly and suggested that the screen might need to be replaced. They quoted me a price, which seemed high compared to the cost of a new tablet, but there was stuff on this one that I needed so I agreed. I conditioned my approval on the basis that if the new screen wouldn't fix it I didn't want to pay for anything. A couple of days later and they called to say it was fixed. I picked up and brought it home and discovered that most of the screen worked fine but the bottom inch didn't. I talked to them on the phone and they offered to order a new screen. It arrived in a couple of days and they made the switch. The process is somewhat convenient though I wish they had hours later than 7PM during the week. I am pretty busy on the weekends so getting here to drop it off (then pick it up, then drop it off again, then pick it up again) spread the process out a lot longer then I would have liked. They weren't cheap ($160) but they did quote me up front and they were quick and polite.

I refused, he pushed and said I was missing out on an awesome deal, refunded the money on my credit card, and I left. The next day I discovered that he had not even refunded the money correctly and had to make a 20 minute call to the credit card company to get compensated for the cost of tax that he had apparently planned to keep. No payment in advance, professional service, checked to make sure he had parts in advance, charged about 50$ less than the guy in Oneida had charged, and fixed it smoothly and quickly. When they had my computer I needed to ask a question and was redirected to the international call center. They continually told me someone from the store would call me back within 2 hours and I called every 2 hours and continued to get told the same thing. No one ever contacted me and I had to drive all the way to the store to ask a question, absplutely ridiculous. Then, 3 appointments were made in my best buy account saying pick up was completed on my computer, all with 3 separate confirmation numbers, when my computer wasn't even done being "repaired" (spoiler alert, it wasn't actually repaired.) I told them about my frustrations trying to reach them and they gave me their in-store extension for the future. We'll When I got home I found they had left a geek squad program open on my computer and I couldn't close it, so I called the number they gave me and no one ever called me back. I had to use the international call center again for help closing they program they never successfully closed. I told the technician what I believed was wrong with my computer and was assured there was no issue at all and gaslit that my suspicions were nothing to worry about, only to get home and find the issue I brought it for still happening. I've now left multiple messages at the extension they gave me, and still no one has called me back. I have no idea what I'm paying for with my $180 best buy membership because ive receive zero quality customer service. They didn't even apologize for any of this and just blamed it all on their international call center, saying they were basically incompetent there....thanks, really makes worried and unconfidemt about my decision to have purchased my computer and membership from them.
