Avoid this location. The employee we spoke with was insulting and incredibly condescending. We were there to upgrade my husband's iPhone 11 to the new iPhone 15. I had a trade-in quote of $830 for the phone through the Verizon Wireless website. Without looking at the phone, the employee we spoke with said he'd give us $400. I told him about the quote on his company's website, and said, "Perhaps it's a different deal online than in the store. I know that has happened before." I showed him the webpage and the quote for the phone. He took the phone out of my hands and said, "You have to read the fine print. You'll only get $400." My husband is an attorney. We're aware of "fine print," and read through it before entering the storefront. To qualify for the trade-in, we knew we'd have to get the next tier plan on his phone at $10 a month & the phone we were looking at would be free. I took our phone back & asked him to read aloud the amount quoted in the fine print. After he did, I told him we'd be taking our business elsewhere. We've been loyal Verizon customers for more than 20 years, probably longer than that employee has been alive. I'm still upset by his condescending tone. read more

Zerius was very helpful, professional and friendly, and very knowledgeable. We had purchased an iPhone from the Apple Store but needed to switch from an older phone (for the second user) to the phone being replaced by the new one. It's veri veri likely that you'll get overcharged like I do if you sign up with these peeps. The more Verizon stores I go to, the more I realize that like many cell phone companies, they are dishonest and they are making most of their wages based on upselling and overcharging as much as possible by saying absolutely anything necessary to move any product they can. In this regard it's tremendously unethical and irreconcilable, with good business practices, however you still have the best service and for this reason I'll still remain with them until I find a decent service that is infinitely cheaper, and I haven't quite found the right ingredients yet. But this location inside the massive, vast Crossgates Mall had some of the less stellar service that I encountered, and what's more it also had a long wait time and to fix the relatively minor $100 fix problems that the cheaper stores were going to do they wanted to charge me over $700 and let me just tell you that that's not going to happen. read more

I'm glad I finally gave up on this place to purchase a new iPhone after waiting a looong time to get someone to help me, who was spouting statistics fast rather than directly answering my questions. Frustrating. Then found their inventory was low. And it took forever. They told me they would not help me set up my new phone. Then they tried to upsell me $150 for accessories. Head swimming and about to purchase a phone I didn't really want. Spending almost 1,000 bucks and the service was poor. I said: forget it. (I later realized it's was Colonie Center where I had a good experience at Verizon store purchasing an iPad.) Walked to Apple. They were *great*! Spent time with me to talk about my needs, answer my questions, show me stuff -- including stuff that was unrelated to a sale including network coverage maps online. I was a happy customer. AND the helpful, cheery person told me I did not need to purchase a new phone this year. Yay! I left happy and added bonus that I wasn't out a thousand bucks as I would have been had I not walked out of Verizon! So: do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere for an iPhone. And for other phones I would probably choose the manufacturer's (Samsung, Apple, etc) store -- and they are in Crossgates it seems -- over Verizon. Boo hiss. read more

Absolutely insane!! Hated how I felt walking out of here yesterday 8/15. I came in here for the 2nd time. 1st time a couple months ago to get some quotes on me switching from T-Mobile (I have 4 lines).. and the 2nd time to actually start the process of the switch. I had been in there for at least 2 hours trying to figure out my phone situation and thought I had a sales associate to help me. I could tell he was new, he didn't have all the answers confidently and kept referring to the tablet to explain his answers and if so, was brief in explaining things to me. I was then even super patient, cus I get it. As someone who has worked for Sprint years back as a LEAD tech AND Assistant manager at one point, I was completely shocked about how this experience had went. I am also a NYS employee, making nearly 6figures and once the process started for me to get 3 iphones and a ipad, they made me feel like I was trying to scam them or was some sort of criminal. After going through which phones I wanted, the lightskin, skinny gentleman with a low cut seemed to be helping with the process until he leaves to the back to "grab the phones" ... comes back, and is on the phone with a verizon fraud rep, because they need proof of address and my license has my Queens NY address.. so I go all the way outside to my car, grab my registration, come back in the mall to take the photos to send to the fraud rep through an email link, and they repeatedly said they weren't receiving the photos. (Even when it was saying successful upload) .. both of them was extremely dismissive. The gentleman could CARE LESSS!! He seemed soo uninterested, unbothered by everything. So once he tells me, I need to send this to them via email and wait until they email back, I am sitting IN VERIZON at a table... few seconds later, the sales rep, comes out of the back with all his belongings to leave for the day! SAYS NOTHING TO MEE!! once he leaves, I turn around to the girl sales rep, and I am like umm okay, so what should I do? She's like "you have to wait for them to respond, even if you get an email today, our phones are down and we won't be able to complete the sale today, at this point its 6:40/6:45 and they close at 7" .. Again, I used to work for a cell company. So I knew it was a lie. I knowww when customers get the run around, especially after being profiled! I felt completely dismissed, angry, and appalled by the last interactions here and felt like I was doing something wrong. I could have gotten them whatever documents needed had they gave more help! Today morning I order a phone from verizon at crossgate mall in Albnay NY and I was told to wait for only 15 minutes but so far 24 times 15 minutes already passed and still no any answer. They blame thier own system that it is very slow and takes time. Than, I called thier customer care and I was told that the pne was bought from the store and they can not help me to solve my case. The store just keep reapeating that it can take time sometimes and still no answer. Went here to get a new phone for a holiday gift, and had the worse customer service experience of my life. I was "helped" by a man named Christopher, who was either passive aggressive or blatantly rude to me the whole time we interacted. He kept pushing me to upgrade to a new plan because mine was "old and outdated", and could not offer me any deals, unless I did. He then said even if I did, the phone price would not change. I they inquired if they still did data transfers from old phones to the new ones. Which he answered by saying " we charge a fee, but its super inconvenient and annoying for me to do it". He then told me there is an app to transfer the data, and as "long as I was smart enough to make toast, I could use the app". He then became aggressive and stated that me asking questions isn't going to change anything, etc. After basically insulting my intelligence for the third time, I told him I was going to look around, and I might come back to get a phone from him at a later time that day. To which he told me " good luck, you wont find anything better, but don't come back looking for me." Went in to shop around for power needs for my phone. There were customer service reps who were helping others and some just standing around not helping anyone and no one even bothered to ask if I needed help. Finally got the attention of one of their reps, let's call him anonymous store employee #1. He told me they didn't sell the battery for my phone which was understandable so I asked if he had the usb charger for phone. He said they did then disappeared into the back. Waited probably five minutes for him to reappear. Then probably another five minutes. Then another three. Time slows down when you're waiting for employees to get back to you so it could be less time, but it felt like a good chunk of time. I saw him walking back into the store from outside the mall side entrance and I had to ask him again if they had it. His response was basically, 'Oh, yea we do, someone was supposed to do that for you. Hold on let me go get it.' I walked. Seriously? What was the point of you going into the back to look for it the first time? If anonymous store employee #1 was so damn busy that he needed to pawn me off to someone else then why not just continue to ignore me like some of the other reps who were doing very little of anything. I'm sorry that my sale was so unimportant for him to follow through. Don't go here if you expect them to help you with the little things unless you are also planning on buying a phone as well. I'll be ordering my accessories on Amazon from now on, which is a shame for these stores because their profit margins are made on the additional stuff they sell you, not so much the phones. read more

Original and loyal customers of this Verizon store for 16 years. That will change. I purchased a new Verizon iPhone for my father and mailed it to him (I now live in CA). When I purchased my new phone here, they transferred all my data directly and took great care of me. I told my dad to go back to this Verizon store, expecting the same type of service. They would not even put his screen protector on that I purchased for him at the Verizon store in CA and mailed him. They gave him a print out of instructions on how to transfer data and sent him on his way. All of this after an extremely long wait to even speak to someone. Verizon is a premium compared to other service providers and we've stayed year after year, even adding new lines. Unprofessional and unacceptable. read more

I just spent 45 minutes waiting for assistance. Apparently I picked the wrong time. I think their entire sales force goes to dinner between 7:30PM and 8:15PM. After receiving no help at all, not even a "May I help you?" I decided to go across the hall to the Best Buy phone store and was helped immediately by Tom and was able to get the phone and upgrade I was looking for. Verizon Wireless needs to take a serious look at their customer service! My father worked for Verizon for many years and this type of behavior would have gotten somebody fired during his time. I had the worst experience with this store on 2/16/2020. I just brought a new iPhone 11 from the apple store in crossgates mall. I was advise to go directly to the store for easy and fast service. Well let me tell you this was a horrible experience. I spoke with Joshua who seem to be new with his job not sure if he was. He called my name and then started talking to other customer, before he even helped me. That was the first sign. Once he started to assist me and figure out what I needed, he took my money real quick and messed up my order. He never advise what was going on, he went to the back of the store real quick and had me sitting out there for over 30-45 minutes. I went to other customer service to ask what Joshua was doing. He went to the back and found out that there was a problem and stated that he would be out soon. Well when he did come out it was now over an hour and half, now I had to speak with customer service on the phone. I was advise that I needed to make other payment of 40.00 to have my phone connected and to complete the order. I don't know who they thought I was but let me tell you, That Was Bull Shit and it did not go down like that. I advise customer service on the phone and Joshua that I needed a refund. Joshua advise me he was not able to give me a refund because I did per-paid. Well once I got myself together I advise him that he need to get a manager because I was not leaving with out my money or a receipt . He went an got the manager Mary and she tried to tell me the same thing that because I did per-paid no refund was allowed. I tell you what, she got on that phone and called her manager who had the day off, and explained the issue and guess what!!! I GOT MY REFUND!!! Rude and unprofessional. Wanted to upgrade a phone, for my kid to be able to play Pokemon Go on, and did not want the monthly payment or change to my data plan. The salesclerk, insisted that paying $324 ($16 per month) for a phone was less expensive than upgrading for 99 cents by going with a 2 year contract despite being a verizon customer for over 16 years and no plans to change service in the next 2 years. The salesclerk did not help my kid find a phone that met his requirements, nor would he tell me the contract price as he insisted that I take the monthly payment option (he first said that was my only choice) and the clerk demanded I change my data plan from 10GB to 8GB and I would get 2 more GB free. I asked how long the 2 GB free was good for and he said indefinitely. So I asked if I could see the promotion in writing, and the clerk said it was only his promotion, nothing was there to read. The guy was a jerk, and was rude and a waste of my time, and my family who was waiting while this jerk talked down to me, rolled his eyes, and tried to push me into something I didn't want. I asked for the manager, got the Solutions Manager, who was also rude, and questioned my feelings about the way the salesman had treated me. Extremely disrespectful, they treated me like I was a 8 year old kid, that showed up in rags and smelling, looking like I didn't have any money and so they were going to bully and humiliate me into buying my kid a phone that cost $100 but pay $324 that phone. I walked out, and went online to order the phone that I wanted, with the 2 year contract and no change of plans as I originally asked for. Horrible experience. read more

Well the store was fabulous. They actually had customer service. However I needed to call customer service to talk about my data usage. They were HORRIBLE!! I called to inquire about my data usage as I knew I had overage but needed to know how not to have it in the future. As I am on the phone waiting my data usage goes form overage of 7th data to 9th data overage in 22 minutes. How the hell does that happen??? I was connected to the supervisor Jason? and he told me that because I was the account manager and not the account holder he couldn't do anything for me. He proceeded to tell me to have the owner of the account call and discuss these matters.... He didn't even try to help me. He was arrogant and ignorant. I was appalled. He put me on hold and then the call was lost. What the hell?? I give Verizon a lot of business and all I want to know is how to keep Verizon my carrier at a more affordable price. Maybe the girl at Sprint was correct in switching. They offered me a way better plan with all of the devices we have but I truly want to keep Verizon. I am not sure how confident I am in referring them. My advice to anyone is even though Verizon is connected in so many ways, they are money hungry and hire people who are not truly invested in the companies delivery of service!! read more
