For me, it's the convenience of the location as it is down the road from my gym, the high school, etc. The pump area is usually clean and working well and I do not fret too much about the security of my information at Costco: gas. I like having a garbage can so I can empty out my daughter's stuff while I fill up. The staff is attentive and I see them help others with the gas, receipts, etc. time and time again. Sometimes patrons drive crazily around the pumps, but that is not to any fault of the facility. I appreciate having affordable gas so close!

My car needed gas and a wash so I drove onto the BP lot at 800 Elmhurst Road in Des Plaines. I entered the station and gave the cashier my credit card, telling him I paid for the wash. He said a few things I didn't understand because of his accent. He repeated himself at my request, and again, I didn't understand him. I decided to go to the pump and see if I could figure out what to do. Unfortunately, I didn't find any directions at the pump. The cashier approached me, shouting, "Do you not understand English?" He SHOVED me away from the pump and placed the nozzle into my gas tank. He told me to return to the station when I finished pumping gas. After filling my tank, I returned to the station to retrieve my credit card. In reviewing my receipt, I received the discount I was owed but discovered that I was also charged for the car wash. When I repeated that I had already paid for the car wash and wanted the $9.99 charge removed from my bill, he REFUSED, telling me I had a month to get another wash. I explained that I was not from the area and would leave town soon, but he said he would not remove the charge. I spoke with the attendant, and we returned to the station together. The attendant and cashier became agitated with one another, as well as with me. I finally received my $10 after threatening to call the police. I don't know how management trains its employees, but I'm guessing that it doesn't involve shoving, insulting, and over-charging their customers.
