She demanded that I did not give her enough time to come out of the back room. She also called me dumb for leaving my 12 and 10 year old in the car. I was in shock as I did not say a word walking in. On this trip, it happened to be in Algonquin. It's a big station--I don't think they make small Thorntons stations. At Thorntons, though, you have to be tricky because they sell that E85 gas or whatever it is, plus some other kind of gas, which are cheaper than the standard regular/plus/premium unleaded. They advertise it in their signs, too, so you need to make sure you know which you're getting. They have the pumps color-coded--at least, this location does--so that helps, but if you're just looking at price you might not get what you actually planned. I've almost done that before and almost did here as well, so just pay attention.

I caught it when it was time to pay when I reviewed the sheet they typically provide w/receipt. They just didn't follow the notes from my previous visits for what oil type. Honest mistake, it happens. I'm here and let's get it done right! They tell me to pull my car around again and wait to get it fixed. Service tech sees me as he opens the bay doors to the one I wasn't in line with and waves me to come on over. As I try to reposition my car, another customer flys into that bay, and he begins servicing them (I was the only car waiting outside prior to this). I confronted the tech and he just kinda shrugged it off and told me the bay I was waiting behind was wrapping up soon. Okay fine. They ended up putting the correct oil in and sent me on my way. I was really understanding about the mistake but what really upset me was how unapologetic the staff was and the lack of urgency to correct their mistake.
