Anyway! I bought that item it wasn't edible it was so stale. I frequent this gas station for gas, store items and the cookie spot inside. They would not take back the stale wafer and acted as if I was being unreasonable with the ask. Now that I've called their establishment twice and left a message I see why. They never called me back. They don't stand behind their products they sell. Hmmm I gotta a little research to do. Deal with this place at your own risk! I have stopped patronizing the store but gotta keep getting gas.

Whether they're wandering inside to load up on sugar bombs or disappearing into the restroom for extended visits, the result is the same: long lines and unnecessary delays. This location seems to attract the city's slowest, most oblivious residents--people who treat everyone else's time as disposable. It's a small but maddening reflection of a larger issue in our city: the growing disregard for basic courtesy. Here's a radical suggestion--fill up your tank and move on. Your personal errands and leisurely browsing can wait until you're not blocking others. Until that kind of awareness becomes common practice, I'll gladly give up my spot in line to someone with more patience than I have left.

Having already passed the crowded United station at Castle Heights featuring regular gas for $3.99/gallon (12/28/22), my intended destination was the familiar Mar Vista/West L.A.-outskirts SK Gasoline station at National and Sawtelle. But wait a minute! Off to the left, past the Vons shopping center, was a newly renamed SK station priced at $3.99/gallon cash-or-credit, none of its pumps in use. Turned left under the 10 fwy, hung a U-ie at Exposition and Hughes, and backtracked to SK. Maybe not-so-coincidentally, both SKs, operated by Sinaco Oil Corp., are former highway-robbery 76 stations. Related amenities on the triangle-shaped property are an auto-repair shop and smog-test facility. SK might have a small food mart, but I didn't check. The nearby center comprises various useful businesses, many in food service. Closer to my stomping grounds than the other SK station, future visits could include shopping at Vons, ergo making L.A. life that much more efficient, thus a happier new year, kick-started by an all-too-rare FTR. So what, right?

Price Point: I like the price of their gas. I don't know how they keep their prices low, but It's cheaper than the 3 other gas station that are located in the same intersection. Wait Time: Depends on the time you go, you'll might have to wait a bit. So keep calm and just wait your turn. :) Location: Located on the NW corner of La Brea and Slauson. Believe it or not, but there's 3 other gas station in that same intersection. This is a classic example of Hotelling's Law, where competitors cluster in high-traffic,, prime, high-visibility locations. This strategy captures maximum traffic from all directions, as drivers prefer to turn right, and zoning often dictates where commercial services can be placed. La Brea Gas For Thought: Love the gas prices. Only negative is that the gas pumps are kinda close to each other so you'll have to drive a little bit further from the pump to fill up your tank and would be a nice thing to do so other cars in back of you will be able to pump gas also. :)
