BP is only a few blocks away from Woodfield Mall and had a free air pump. Apparently, I wasn't the only one who needed to add air to my tires as I had to wait for two cars for my turn, and when I left there was another car using the pump. BP has a small store with a variety of items for purchase. Both the friendly, cheerful employees directed me to the tire pressure gauges. Thank God they had one on their shelves! It came with two tire valve caps which I ended up needing one when my frozen hands dropped my car's cap somewhere in the slushy inches of snow.

It's a fairly busy station as they are located in densely populated Schaumburg and conveniently off of busy Meacham Rd. The gas pumps are located pretty close to the warehouse for what that's worth, probably the closest of all Costco's, so it's a short little drive to the parking spots for the warehouse. Ingress and egress around the station is open and good. Also, I just reviewed my July 2025 survey of Costco gas prices around Chicagoland and Schaumburg was very close to Oakbrook and Melrose Park for the cheapest Cook County prices (only 2 cpg higher than the cheapest), at least back then. It isn't the most convenient location for us, so we don't always go there. The problem with them is how busy they are. There are generally very long lines to get to the pumps. I suppose that goes with the discounted price for gas they offer. The price difference isn't great enough to wait ten or 15 minutes to get to the pump so when we go there and see long lines, we'll go elsewhere. There are several other gas stations withing a mile or so of Costco. Costco Gasoline also offers no other services than gas pumps. If you need anything else done, this either would not be the station for you, or you'll have to finish pumping then go to another service station.

I usually add a car wash to my gas so I can get a code on my receipt. But you can also pay for just a waah if you prefer. I have only had to go inside a couple of times when my gas pump card reader wasn't working, but for the most part, this is a fast and easy gas stop. Be careful when exiting on to Higgins Road when you leave as traffic often comes up pretty fast from the busy corner of Higgins & Golf.

Put in $20, machine gave me back correct change then had an error saying I needed to insert more payment with the screen saying the carwash costs $13 and a payment of $13 was made. Huh? Went inside and was not helped at all. Can you help? No, the registers are not working right. Can I get a new code for the carwash? No, not trained on carwash. When j heard rumors they were doing downhill I ignored it because I didn't have any issues with them till today. I called to get my oil change and was told to come today after 5pm for their special deal. I asked to make an appointment and was told no. I got there and they worked on it, but while waiting I asked how much will it be and the front lady who stated she is new didn't know the price depending on the oil. I thought it was weird as my last oil change was 43 dollars after I just checked. When the kid comes out to talk to me he states there is a leak and stops talking. I said yeah and? And he stated he is not a mechanic and doesn't know where it is coming from or what to do but to have me come back when their mechanic is in. I thought that was even weirder. THEN they are charging me 75 dollars for and OIL change. I asked them to pull up my previous tickets and she looked for 2 seconds and said she cannot find it. I had her call her manager and she said that's the price. I called midas and they are charging 40. They blamed the cost of oil. I literally said if I knew this was their special price id have just done it today on my day off myself. The front end girl and the non mechanic need to be trained better and should not state idk I'm not a mechanic while you are working on my car. Idk what happened but this place went to hell. And to clarify my car uses a synthetic(don't know if I spelled it correctly) blend which is the cheaper kind. We will be no longer recommending this place and going to another mechanic who is an actual mechanic. But I thought he would just look at my birthdate but he just suddenly scanned my ID without asking my permission. If he had told me he would scan my ID I would have refused and not buy lotto ticket anymore because I don't want my info stored in their system. Who knows what could happen with my info stored. When I confronted him about it he raised his voice and said it's company policy to scan ID for buyers less than 40 y/o, what kind of policy is that?
