It's a fairly busy station as they are located in densely populated Schaumburg and conveniently off of busy Meacham Rd. The gas pumps are located pretty close to the warehouse for what that's worth, probably the closest of all Costco's, so it's a short little drive to the parking spots for the warehouse. Ingress and egress around the station is open and good. Also, I just reviewed my July 2025 survey of Costco gas prices around Chicagoland and Schaumburg was very close to Oakbrook and Melrose Park for the cheapest Cook County prices (only 2 cpg higher than the cheapest), at least back then. Good job as usual and thanks for being around for us.

We continue to use Costco Gasoline when we can. It is always less expensive than other gas stations…read moreso, for purely financial reason, we'll use Costco when we can. It isn't the most convenient location for us, so we don't always go there. The problem with them is how busy they are. There are generally very long lines to get to the pumps. I suppose that goes with the discounted price for gas they offer. The price difference isn't great enough to wait ten or 15 minutes to get to the pump so when we go there and see long lines, we'll go elsewhere. There are several other gas stations withing a mile or so of Costco. Costco Gasoline also offers no other services than gas pumps. If you need anything else done, this either would not be the station for you, or you'll have to finish pumping then go to another service station.

Today it's 6.23.14 and regular gas price is $4.19, and you know that's the legit price, not the tricky trickster price for if you do a car wash, because there is no car wash at this location... the the Shell a bit further East down Higgins for the Shell at Mall drive of you need a car wash & Shell gas combo deal.

I could not in good conscience allow this beloved business to depart without acknowledging my gratitude. I moved here at age seven back in 1984. My father learned about Larry & Dan's from customers soon after we moved. Since then, until his untimely passing two years ago, he has only taken his vehicle to Larry & Dan's, and refused to go anywhere else. The quality of the work, the dependability, the honesty, and kindness from the mechanics were all the reasons we kept going. I cannot begin to express how many difficult situations over the years I've had with vehicles that Larry & Dan's mechanics not only went out of their way to take care of me, but at times did so free of cost. A simple eyeball inspection at times, to a recent occasion where I hit a curb and screwed up the front passenger's side bumper, that a mechanic put zip ties on it to secure it - for free. The cashier ladies over the years knew more about cars sometimes than the mechanics. They'd take down descriptions and pass it through the window like a chef reading off a recipe. They made good conversation in the always stressful experience it is going to have a car fixed. They put you at ease. Over the years the mechanics went out of their way, too, to find affordable solutions for customers going through difficult financial times. Their mechanics would pick up parts. They would research and find good quality used parts and devise a strategy to go and pick it up, then reduce labor cost on the bill. Recent experiences of mine involving a battery alternator, and four brakes that went out at the same time, resulted this way. Thank you for all your years of service. Even if no one reads this, God will read it, and the universe will come around and reward those who did so much, for so long, for Schaumburg. I'm sure I'm not the only one who passes by this location, sees it empty, and experiences that hit to the chest that's comparable to losing a family member. I lost my dad. This is almost like losing him all over again. His name was Robert and EVERYONE at the shop loved him. He taught three mechanics how to play guitar. They drove him home one time on their own accord. Years ago when I worked the overnight shift at Dominick's on Schaumburg and Roselle, I would forget to turn off my lights and in the morning find it dead. I can't tell you how many times the mechanics would come to my aid and they always jumped me free of cost. They installed the best quality tires. They took on hundred-fifty-dollar jobs that chain auto shops would try and manipulate a customer into thousand-fifty dollar jobs. They'd do jobs under a hundred dollars, knowing that the big job when we need it would come their way. The picture in the middle was always mounted on the bulletin board behind where the cashier sits. It told the story of how the business was put together. It emphasized their business strategy, their devotion to customers, and to making an auto repair shop more a place of ease, a place to be relied on, a place people always knew had their best interests at heart. They put the customer first every day of their existence. With a tear in my eye, and a pounding in my heart, I'm writing this with utmost sincerity to say thank-you and best wishes, good spirits, and blessings from above...to this amazing business.

They also have an app, Earnify, which when used gives you a $0.10 or a $0.20 discount depending on the day of the week. This station is very clean and bright. There is never a wait due to all of the pumps they have - lots of them. The Pride of Palatine is their convenience store - it even has a big selection of wines, beer, and liquors. They also have a restaurant, Urban Counter, which is very good. If you sell something on Facebook Marketplace, this is a great location for a public meet up.

He had me stupid out there not putting it through when I was in there and when he finally did then had another customer come get me and I had to come in again to put my pin through?.
