Let me just say that I've been coming here for YEARS and have spent thousands since I had another car that I serviced. It's been convenient and most of the mechanics are friendly and knowledgeable. Today, I had a different experience. First off, the guy at the front (I won't say any names) is rude. It takes nothing to say hello back to someone who came in and said hello. Anyway, came in to do a battery replacement. Everything was done and as I was walking to the office, I see my car....left UNATTENDED WITH THE HOOD UP and my car still running for several minutes. He just left it there like that. I walked to the office (hood was still up). Stood there waiting to get my bill and keys (hood still up) Mind you...it's a rainy day. This kid was negligent with my property. I don't know if me being a woman alone made that acceptable but it's not. Big or small job, it's business and you treat everyone's property and them with respect. Then after seeing my car left on with the hood up, I make them aware of it and then I paid and left. As I was driving, my USB/anti theft system was not working. Screen blank. Not only was he negligent with my property....he didn't finish the job. You have to reboot the anti theft system for that and the USB/screen controls to work. I was more than willing to tip the guy since I know they don't make much on batteries but after that experience, no. You don't just put a battery in...you need to reboot the system. Today was EXTREMELY disappointing and needless to say, I will go elsewhere from now on. Maybe give JJ a bit more training.

They told me 'Brakes are fine' when 9/10 places would've suggested replacing them regardless of need. I've always said that an auto repair shop can crush the competition just by being honest and hopefully Hughes is showing how it's done!

I…read moretalked to Mike and he said that instead of putting my car on the rack to check the tires, which would cost money, I should instead just put some air in the tires and check the pressure. I gave him money for the air pump and he had one of his guys check the pressure for me. He explained that I had too much air in the tires and that may have been the problem all along but that if my sensors went off again I should bring it back. He was so helpful and saved me money, which he easily could have taken from me. Instead he was very honest and helpful so if I ever need to have my car serviced, I will definitely bring it there.

I stopped in my old neighborhood, not to far from Wakefield Bronx near White Plains Road, Webster Ave, Neried and Pitmin. I get around. I'm just wondering why, each time I fuel, why am I able to pump more gallons of gas in my tank. I mean it's the same car, same gas tank. Same gas, well actually I'm using premium now. Yeah I'm living large but my car is living a champagne life. Guzzling expensive fuel and loving it. That may be the reason why I've stopped topping off at 12 gallons and now 14 to 15 gallons. The gas tank is thinking like the A T & T commercial... When something is good, you just want more! Blank stare! Fuel, something we all need in one way or another. Good gas station/mini-mart…read more This station has undergone several name changes over the years and at least two different owners. The current owners have done a great job in maintaining what the previous owner had. Inside there is a pretty decent snack/drink selection, lotto, candy, and other random things you may or may not need like hats, gloves, lighters, toys, ice scrapers, or other random things. It's pretty tight inside loaded with items and whomever is at the register has always been friendly. There is 2 two-sided pumps. The pump (both sides) closest to the door are full service with both the cash and card difference. The other pump is self service (both sides) that's slightly less of course than the full service pump. the gas prices are about the norm for the area. There is a garage where they do basic repairs or inspections. I've never taken my car here for anything other than gas, so I have no comments about the service in that aspect. You can come down Alida Street and enter the station that way or along Yonkers Avenue. All in all, a pretty good and reliable station in the area.

Then my uncle tried to tell him that he didn't have to be rude and he yelled something we couldn't understand. I hope this can be resolved so nobody else has to take this guy's bad manners again.
