Tuned up gas mower that wouldn't start. Fast turnaround, mower running like new again.

I would absolutely recommend them. They provide great service and keep both my riding mower and my snowblower in excellent condition.

Was running rough, brought in for service to Minnesota Equipment Savage. 08/03/24. Service replaced carburetor, gaskets, resealed valve covers, set valve clearances and sharpened blades, $874.58. Unit had follow-up visit, following week, fuel pump pressure issue (no charge for follow up). Hours 290. 07/16/25 running rough, brought in for service. Didn't note hours on unit, estimate 10 added hours of use (five mows of lawn). Run enough to empty tank, require fuel. Service states the fuel smells stale. New carburetor needed, $500+. Service noted no noted damage to carb, no build up, no jell. Failed smell test. Run only premium, ethanol fee, gas. Gas stabilized in unit before winter. Container is 5-gallon (Fire Power Utility Container - with filler hose). Container is used on multiple machines (snow blower, snowmobiles, dirt bike and mower). The container was refilled in May, dirt bike use, prior to refill use in mower. No other containers in garage. Returning to pick up unit without service. Will self-install a new carb. Great fun. Old smelling gas? You decide.

I've purchased multiple parts for my Toro mower (yep, a piece of non-John Deere equipment)…read morehere...even back in the Weekend Freedom days. I've always found the Parts staff has been patient and helpful. Recently, I had a problem trying to get my snowblower's tubeless tire back on the rim after it slipped the bead. I've fixed it before myself, but couldn't manage it this time. Reluctantly, I headed to multiple shops in Savage who didn't want to deal with it. I stopped at MN Equipment and 10-mins later I was on my way...with a fix that was "on the house", even though it took two guys had to muscle the tire into submission and get it inflated. Thanks guys...you have my business the next time even my JD products like my Toro, Ariens, or any other yard product has a problem!

After speaking to no less than eight (8) different vendors, enter Friedges Landscaping & Jim. I…read moreknew from the first conversation with Jim on the phone, they were different. For starters, Jim was more thorough & informative than his competitors. He took the time to walk me through all the particulars & answer all my questions. Shortly thereafter, Jim came out and inspected our yard. He drew up a landscape plan for us & provided a detailed quote. I found Friedges pricing to be extremely competitive & fair (much less expensive than their competition). We ended up doing in-ground sprinklers & sod on about 1/3 acre lot. They did it right, trucking in fresh topsoil & throughly grading the lot. We added a 4' rock border around the house, and seven (7) blue spruce pine in the back - about 6' foot each. We also did a boulder wall & a nice manicured area in the front with plantings. Their team & installers were great and the end result was excellent. They even left me a plan & schematic detailing all the sprinkler zones & where the heads were located. Needless to say we're extremely pleased with the whole experience. Friedges & Jim are professional, timely & all around great landscapers. My favorite part is I have had no less than three neighbors complement my yard. I would highly recommend Friedges!

I have a huge yard to care for and these guys are out here every week mowing, trimming, and cleaning up. The professionals on the team keep my grass mowed, fed, and treated for weeds, keep my shrubbery trimmed, and my gutters clear. In the fall and spring they will do a full cleanup, getting rid of all the leaves and dead plants or raking up and reseeding after the snow melts. In the winter Derek is great about emailing snowplow updates and it's so reassuring to know I never have to worry about coming home from a trip only to find a foot of snow in my driveway. These guys work around the clock during big storms to ensure everyone has access even in a blizzard. I couldn't be happier with their service!

The first snow fall of the season dropped 3+ inches in our area. I was surprised to receive an…read moreemail essentially stating the snow would melt eventually & they were glad because they needed to finish fall cleaning projects. The company clearly states if you have a concern let them know. I sent a message indicating we still had snow and needed it removed. We have an elderly women that comes to our house daily & I was concerned for her safety. The owner proceeded to argue and imply I was lying and told me to review the terms & conditions. I'm very familiar with contracts since I manage the contracting process for a fortune 5 company. Needless to say, I removed the snow. We had a similar experience the next snow. The company did eventually show about a day after the snow fall & the sidewalks were not clear of snow. Again, I reached out and sent a picture indicating my concern for the safety of people using our sidewalk & walks. Again he implied I was lying. At this point, I concluded I would need to do the sidewalks myself moving forward. Understandably, sometimes due to timing snow can't be removed at the best time. At this point, I was told he would refund me. I was refunded but the next day they charged the full amount AGAIN without consent. I reached out with proof asking why this occurred. I was basically told it had been refunded and there wasn't an issue. When I checked in again they acknowledged I was charged again & would be refunded. The refund is not showing on my account and I'm hopeful it is processing. I switched to 'Quality Seasons' for the 1 inch snow trigger and should have stayed with the reliable service we have had for years. If you want to be called a liar, pay a ton of money & remove the snow yourself hire this company. I have never experienced this type of horrible service before.

Had to go above their head to get them to work on my machine after 4-5 weeks of nothing and ended up getting the demo ski the owner had at his cabin as compensation while they got to work. Which then only took 4 DAYS TO GET A CALL SAYING MY MACHINE WAS DONE AND I HAD TO DROP THE DEMO OFF. I quit coming here two years ago but they continue to just fuck people over, I've heard nothing but bad stuff about these people on and off the trails. Leo's South in Lakeville MN has shoddy service…read more I'm not writing this review out of anger or frustration. Rather, I'm writing this out of sheer amazement, and also because my riding friends have asked me to. This started with a defective TFT display on my 2024 Ninja 500 40th Anniversary SE. After about 200 miles, a dead line appeared through the center of the display and never went away. I don't normally take my bikes in for their 600-mile service as I like to do my own maintenance. Seeing as this was out of my control and I wanted the warranty to cover the display, I decided to take it in at around 760 miles and have them do the repair and go over the bike. When I dropped off my bike at Leo's South in Lakeville, MN, I brought a microfiber cloth with me so I could give the bike a thorough wipe off in the parking lot, so I knew I was leaving it with them clean and in great condition. After they had the bike for about a week, Leo's called and informed me that it would take about 6-8 weeks until they could get a new display in from Kawasaki. Additionally, they told me that they are required to hold my bike for the duration of the warranty repair, leaving me without the bike for well over a month. After about 8 weeks, I got the call that it was done and I could come pick up the bike, so I went to Leo's grab it. Here's where it gets interesting... Firstly, the display apparently contained the mileage for the bike, so when the new display was installed, my mileage was back to zero. They were unsure if there was a way to load my miles, which Kawasaki would later confirm you cannot. I mentioned that this would probably cause me low-ball offers on resale due to the mileage being inaccurate, to which the service person said to me, "that's bullshit" and "you don't know what you're talking about". I was required to sign documents stating that they had performed the initial 600-mile service and that they had inspected and cleaned my machine... 1). There was some caked-on mud and debris around the rear wheel - I've never taken this bike in the rain. 2). The chain was visibly dirty and had obviously not been cleaned. If anything, it was dirtier than it was when I dropped it off. Not a big deal really. I clean chains all the time. 3). A fairing screw was missing on one of the lowers. This one bothered me the most as they said they would need to order in the screw. (SCREW that lol. I ordered the OEM part online to ship to my home.) I asked if they could give me a deal on the service cost due to the issues and they said no, so I paid the $120 and went home to clean and inspect the bike in my garage. All in all, the repair was fine. After I cleaned the bike off and installed the missing screw, it was back to its glory, minus 760 miles. Anyways, not a big deal in the end, but good lord, please stay away from Leo's for service. They have cool bikes for sale and their prices are fair, but their service team 100% ripped me off and will likely repeat this behavior. About 2 weeks later I received a $15 coupon for service.
