After an hour of watching him struggle with my phone, he hands me my phone and I leave. I get in my car and nothing worked. I go back in and the tech acted surprised to see me. By this point, I was upset so I just told him to get it fixed and I went back to wait in my car. About 20 minutes later he came out to my car. I had my window down from smoking a cigarette and he hands me my phone and said, "it's fixed." I tell him to wait while I examine my phone and of course, nothing worked. I hand him the phone again and he went back inside. 30 minutes later he comes out and tells me he needs more time to fix my phone and asked me to return tomorrow afternoon. I said no, just give me my phone and I'll take it somewhere else. He pleaded with me and said his manager was on his way over to help him fix my phone and promised me that the phone would be fixed by 7:30 PM the latest. BIG MISTAKE! I arrived back at the shop at 7:25. As I entered the store i can see that the manager has another phone screen attached to my red iPhone. He tells me that the home button is broken and they are attempting to somehow install the digital home screen button on my phone. Confused and at a lost for words, I asked why are you doing that? Just fix it. The manager, a Nigerian dude proceeded to tell me he cannot fix the broken home button that I broke and I stopped him and told him, No. My phone was working just fine when I brought it in. I told him to put my phone back together and return my money. He got aggressive and said I was not getting a refund after all the time they spent on my phone. I laughted and told him he was crazy because I brought in a working phone and i am not leaving with a broken phone. He then got out from behind the service stand and tried to fight me. I didn't have any way to call for help so I went outside and stopped a lady walking by to call the police for me and the manager ran up and locked the doors. With all the ICE protesting happening, the police never showed up so I drove to the police station and filed a theft report. See you in court.

Well, not only did I not want to pay $200 for a refurb replacement, I didn't want a different phone with lame iOS 6. I briefly considered ordering a kit and fixing it myself, but decided I wasn't prepared to go w/o my phone if I frigged it up. So I did what I always do: turn to yelp. I saw iDoctor had 5 stars, and also read a review that said they got their phone fixed at the wireless place and had to have it re-fixed here anyway (made me feel better about my pre-judgement!). Anyhow, I made an appt because I went on a Saturday, but they do take walk-ins, time permitting. I dropped it off and it was ready before I was done devouring my Pasta Zola! Repair was $140 and he offers a sort of insurance/discount type of thing: for $20 he will fix it again for 1 yr, for $30 he will fix it twice in the next yr. I took him up on the $20 option and feel pretty good about it; gravity seems to be stronger around my phone for some reason!

The guy said it would take an hr. so we grabbed lunch at noon and came back. Needless to say he hadn't even been able to get the lens off yet & told us to stop by, by closing (9p). It's now 5:37p, they tried to give us the phone back & when we went to look at the replacement lens by turning the phone over- IT FELL OUT! Then we noticed HUGE GOUGES in the phone around the lens that the repair guy made just trying to take the lens out! We called Gary-the owner, needless to say he could have cared less! He said he was in the middle of dinner & we were ruining his night! We asked for a discount on services being that they gouged the back of my husbands phone & didn't return it in the same condition we brought it in. Gary said no, it's not their fault, we are expected to pay full price. He again stated we ruined his night, and continued to argue about how we should know how hard this is and to expect gouges!!! We said there was no disclaimer stating this nor did your staff state this!!! If you cannot do the job & return the item in the same condition it was brought in, then do not take the job!!
