I requested service to unlock a deadbolt in the home which became accidentally locked from the inside. The deadbolt is an older model and had several coats of paint on it from previous owners. I was never given an estimate upon arrival of the locksmith - only the final value at the very end which was extremely high. In addition the locksmith seemed unfamiliar with this particular task and was not interested in hearing any additional information I attempted to offer. Once he was able to get the door open he also declined removing the remains of the deadbolt (which ended up getting completely drilled through) although this would have been relatively easy for him. Additionally he had a can of WD40 which was somehow punctured and sprayed everywhere inside of my house until we took the can and put it in a trash bag and ran outside of the house. Overall I would not recommend this service. read more

He had recently installed a smart key pad lock (Yale brand) for us which we had purchased from Costco. He did a fantastic job. Unfortunately, our door wasn't shutting properly so we couldn't take advantage of the smart lock effectively. We asked Ben if he could replace the door knob also as we thought that was the problem. He removed old knob & identified new knob didn't fit properly. He reinstalled the old knob. I asked Ben if he would be able to adjust the door as it wasn't shutting properly on its own. He found the culprit, he was able to shave & adjust the metal plate accordingly so we no longer need to manually pull door for dead bolt to shut automatically.
