This place is what a boat parts store should be. 1. They…read morehave reasonable prices. 2. Most of their inventory is in sight which allows you to walk the aisles and see things you forgot to put on your list. 3. In many instances, they have the mercury/quicksilver part and right next to it will be the Sierra equivalent at a lower price point which gives you the opportunity to compare on the spot. In addition, last year I bought a boat that had a bad engine. I bought new manifolds and risers first from Ken and he told me where to check the engine for cracks. I found them where he said they'd be. He also had a used engine in his storeroom that was a much newer version of what I had already. His asking price was reasonable. When I came to buy it he loaded it on my truck. He lent me the alignment tool, and he gave me the newer style steering mechanism so I wouldn't have to track down new hoses and fittings. Engine went in without issue, but the alternator wouldn't charge. I pulled it off, threw it in the car along with his alignment tool, and he swapped the alternator for another used one he had in the back. The location is about 100 miles from me, but it's always worth the drive. I haven't tried them for mail order, but for walk in retail, they're great.

If you're looking for a boat dealership that will gladly take your money and then play…read more**hide\-and\-seek with your paperwork for months**, congratulations -- you've found it\. We purchased a boat from **Nuwave Marine over TWO MONTHS ago**\. Two months\. And somehow, the paperwork that should have been handled as part of the sale is still nowhere to be found\. Thanks to this unbelievable mess, our boat is currently sitting there looking beautiful and serving its new purpose as a **very expensive lawn ornament** because we cannot legally use it in our state without the proper documentation\. But don't worry -- Nuwave Marine has apparently developed a revolutionary new customer service strategy: **ignore the customer and hope they eventually stop calling\.** We have called\. We have emailed\. We have called again\. We have emailed again\. And what have we received? **Crickets\.** Apparently once they have your money, customer service becomes an optional feature\. What's especially impressive is that we've asked repeatedly for something incredibly complicated: **information\.** We aren't asking them to build us another boat\. We aren't asking for a miracle\. We simply want the paperwork that should have accompanied the sale and an explanation of what the hell is going on\. Instead, we get absolutely nothing\. It's honestly impressive how difficult Nuwave Marine has managed to make something that should be a basic part of selling a boat\. At this point, I have more information about the boat's engines than I do about the paperwork that is supposed to make the boat legally usable\. **Two months after handing over a significant amount of money, we still don't have what we need -- and apparently getting a response from Nuwave Marine requires a level of persistence normally reserved for tracking down a missing person\.** If you're considering buying a boat from this company, my advice is simple: **DO NOT assume the paperwork will be handled\. Verify EVERYTHING before you hand over your money\.** Because apparently at Nuwave Marine, the transaction ends when they get paid\. The customer service, the communication, and apparently the paperwork? **Those are all sold separately\.** Would I recommend Nuwave Marine? **Absolutely not\.** Unless, of course, you're in the market for a really expensive lawn decoration\. In that case, they're apparently experts\.

My 9 year old niece had her first art class here on Saturday. Because of our circumstances I had to…read morestay the two hours for the class. Although I stayed in the back I eavesdropped often to see how my niece was doing. Jocelynn is amazing with her young students. She engages with them in a way that they all seem to really enjoy; she jokes, she tells stories, she listens to them. In the middle of class she gives them a small break and does an art history lesson. I think it's wonderful that students get to see works of great artists. They talk about and discuss the work of the artist being discussed while eating a snack. She sells art supplies in her studio at a fraction of the price you'd get at the store, and she didn't push me to buy. As a matter of fact I really wanted to buy supplies and she told me to hold off until my niece was sure she wanted to stick with it and was comfortable. My niece had a good experience. Although she's an amazing self-taught artist Jocelynn taught her the correct way to use pencils and how that she should draw what she sees not what's in her head. There was a little bit of a back and forth with my niece insisting that she was doing it the right way but I'm telling you Jocelynn has the patience of Job. And I'm sure she's used to dealing with artists who are stuck in their ways (even if they are only 9 years old). But all in all she enjoyed the class. Jocelynn gave her individual attention (I don't know how but all of the students received one on one time with her). Watching and listening to Jocelynn and my niece in class confirmed that getting her into an art class is the right decision because it has to be easier to develop good habits as an artist now than later.

I've had the privilege of studying with Jocelynn for 4 years and have learned a great deal from her. She is an experienced oil artist and sculptor and uses her many talents to instruct students in a variety of mediums in every class. I began instruction with Jocelynn as an adult learner, kids out of the house, and my only experience was drawing with a No. 2 pencil. Jocelynn has taught me how to see, how to draw, to work with values, with dark and light. She has taught me color theory, and how to use it in a composition. I have learned to work in charcoal and chalk, oils, and pastel pencils. Jocelynn is very reasonably priced, making classes very accessible and enabling me to afford to take two and sometimes three two-hour class per week. My Studio LLC has been a real find for me! Please treat yourself to a visit to Jocelynn's artist and school web pages. Jocelynn's work is available to view and student work is available on the school site.
