This didn't sit right with me, so I decided to get a second opinion from another mechanic. The second mechanic confirmed that the leak was in fact coming from the valve cover gasket, the exact issue I originally paid this shop to fix. This means the problem was either not repaired correctly or not addressed at all. It's frustrating to spend money on a repair, only to be dismissed when you return with a legitimate concern. I expected accountability and a willingness to stand behind their work, but instead I was given incorrect information and no real resolution. I would not recommend this shop based on my experience.
