Today was my first experience visiting this Small Engine Repair service. My weed eater had been…read moresitting in my garage for a few years without use. Now that my son has moved back from out of state he has started to mow and edge my lawn. The weed eater was not running properly, so he asked me to take it to this shop on 4th street. When I arrived the staff came out to my car to assist me with removing the weed eater and carried it inside. Once inside, they were quick to diagnose the problem and repaired it at no cost to me (what a blessing.) The two staff members were courteous, kind and very knowledgeable. My LG refrigerator from Costco stopped working with an "FF E" error code. Due to it being 2.5 years…read moreold (outside the 2 year warranty), I had to get it fixed myself. He came out and opened the freezer door, noted the frost on the inside and proceeded to tell me the freezer fan was not providing cooled air to the refrigerator and the ice was preventing the fan from circulating. This was all correct. He then stated that the frost build up was due to "insulation going bad" and I need to contact LG to see if they will replace it and that "there was nothing" he could do. In less than 5 minutes of arriving, said "that'll be $85." I was stunned and told him to point out the cold spots on the back of the fridge that he said he found. I couldn't feel them and he then got a laser thermometer. My house thermostat is set to 69°F and the coldest spot he found on my refrigerator was 67°F. I refused to pay him. Do not use him. Full stop. I am sadly not surprised there is another review on here from someone else who he did the same thing to. I used another business that actually has a reputable track record and a professional technician will at least provide an actual diagnosis and total cost upfront. He didn't even look up the error code.

I was very impressed with the quick service. Mike was great from explaining the different options of paints I had to choose from and didn't try to upsell me any other expensive or unnecessary extra add ons. He asked me if I wanted to make a call to the person that is helping me to make sure I was getting what I needed instead of me buying the incorrect item first. I declined but did appreciate him gibbing me the time to do that if I wanted. Mike helped me with exactly what I came in for and wasn't lazy or irritated by me coming in and him having to stop doing whatever he was or wasn't doing at the time. Being that he was a younger gentleman I initially figured I was going to be an inconvenience to him but never not once did he make me feel like that and the process was quick and pleasant. I believe it was a good price for a single can of spray paint in the exact color I needed for $32.48. I wouldn't have been able to get the exact color at the local auto shops for that price. The business was clean both on outside and inside, there is parking in front and on the sides of Valley Paint & Supply. I am not quite sure of the business hours I didn't think to look at that moment however, I think normal business hours maybe 8am-5pm.
