Mobile Sound was sent from heaven today. Woke up to a flat, filled it and the air was loudly hissing out. Went to 6 shops in the Nutley/ Clifton area and not one had the size tires I needed. Called Mobile Sound and spoke with Nick. He didn't have the the size i needed either but took my number saying he would see if he could find one. He called me 5 mins later telling me he had found the size i needed, and to come right over. The price was so good i replaced more than just the flat. Not only was Nick super pleasant with excellent customer service skills, but he also had the best prices i had heard all day, and had me in and out on my lunch break. Nick is an honest guy to the T. I chose this place because it's listed on Viper's website as an authorized dealer and the Yelp reviews were so high. We went in there for a remote starter and Nick had plenty of opportunities to upsell us something we didn't need. Not only did he not do that, he told us we didn't need the more expensive viper model (and there are quite a few). He told us upfront exactly how much total cost would be (price plus installation and tax), installation took a few hours, came back and he demonstrated everything about the product. The owner will rip you off with a nice smile if you don't do your due diligence. I had a car radio installed that required minimal settings. He over priced the harness I needed over 200 %. The video bypass performed was very tacky and unprofessional. he charged $65 for it when I could have bought the cable for $24 and do it myself. At the end of the job the interior was left with wires and cable remains and didn't even have the decency to vacuum clean it. Do yourself a favor. Look for another installer. Giving him the extra star just because he took me in late in the day for the service but I wish I had not stepped in. LM. read more

I cannot say enough good things about the experience I had at Mobile Sound - in particular the friendly and accommodating service that Nick provided. I called last-minute and Nick accommodated without a question. He was informative and prompt and did not try to sell me something I did not need. Nick did not let me leave until he knew I was comfortable with how everything worked on my stereo system. My dad and I came here to get a new radio for our 2006 Subaru Outback because I wanted an audio jack to play music from my phone. Nick was very friendly and helped us choose the right radio (we only had to choose between two). He said that he could get the parts today and that it would be ready in 3-4 hours. He stuck to his word. The car was ready by 6:00 pm and we brought it in around 3:00. When we drove there to pick it up, Nick showed me how the radio works and wished me good luck. I ordered pieces to a complicated subwoofer online , I looked everywhere and nobody wanted to install it, I have a Honda Ridgeline so it was a tough job with nowhere to put the amp, we checked this place out and the service was out of this world. In one day they installed the whole system, including a new stereo , they even took the time to teach me how to use it and install a "hands free" feature for free. Nick is a great guy, knows his stuff. The technician and tire installers are great. I go here for all my wheel/tire/stereo needs on my Evo IX. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my car. If I could give Nick and his team more than five stars I would. If you know the Evo IX, an aftermarket system is always installed with a visible gap since the frame around the stereo does not fit, not sure what Nick and his team did my alpine system was installed beautifully with the front frame and no gaps. Very Satisfied - I had a problem with my van horn not working. Nick gave me an estimate to fix the issue. He had his mechanic look at the problem and figured he could install my new horn without creating a major project. Well, it took about 45 minutes, wired the new horn without taking apart the air bag in the horn and I was set to go. Nick even adjusted my cost for less time worked. Would recommend this business.
