    Chocolate scone, coffee

Excellent cafe, exceptional dance venue. The coffee here is solid and reasonably priced, the biscuits and breakfast sandwiches are top notch, and the baked goods are delightfully flavored without being terribly sweet. This is the best swing dance venue on the east coast, and it's not even close. 10/10 do recommend

Tickets are sold individually but, you will be sharing a table with other attendees if your group isn't large enough to fill a table. You are required to purchase at least 2 items from the menu. Can be food or beverage. While here I had the crabcake cake and fries. Both were good. Crabcake was tasty, nice meat and minimal filler. Fries were hand cut and crispy. I also sipped on Prosecco. Service was fast and courteous. I'd definitely come again and take in show.

The music is LOUD, but they luckily have ear plugs at the host stand in case you need some extra hearing protection. I usually buy bar seats on the stage side because the view is great and pretty cheap. The service can be a tad slow but generally pretty good. There is a 2 item per person minimum if you're ordering from the menu, so beware! Usually I'm ordering at least a drink (or two) and a snack, but you can't get just one thing. They have events for everyone, I've seen tribute bands for Erykah Badu, Usher, and Michael Jackson. It does tend to be an older crowd though, I usually find myself to be the youngest in the room here.

When I called back, she admitted to hanging up on me intentionally and continued to yell, informing me that there would be no live music until July 13. Due to this experience, I will not be visiting this establishment on July 13 or any other date. I strongly advise anyone considering this place to stay away, as the hostility I encountered over the phone suggests even worse in-person interactions.

Excellent creative, skilled, fun musicians played their lively high-energy jazz interpretations of Stevie Wonder hits during a tribute show for his birthday to a full room. On this Friday, the line started forming before 7pm, and doors for seating opened around 7:30 for the 8pm show. Once inside, there is self-seating, and specific tables can be reserved. It's a big room for around 100. The photos don't do it justice. It's cozy and bright and fresh, with banquet-type chairs and tables, and a full bar that seats around 6 in comfortable padded high-back chairs. We had immediate service from both the bar and kitchen, and were served quickly by friendly staff. The room was full, so maybe some others had longer waits for service. We had prosecco and Jack&ginger, both fine. Food arrived quickly, too, and it was perfect! You might not expect it from a menu that is mostly fried, but wow again, the broiled salmon was perfectly creamy, tender, fresh and flavorful, and the fried fish was generous and very fresh, maybe the best i've ever had! More than one person praised the wings, too! The managers visited our table a few times to be sure we were happy, and we were :-). Everyone we met was nice to talk to, and the whole crowd had a real good time. Several couples got up on the dance floor, too. Outside, there is a large parking area with watchful staff. Half of the building is a package store, so when you approach it, look to the left for the door with a buzzer to press for entry into a long plain hallway with a few chairs for people who arrive early. Some of you will be put off by the low-key exterior, but the reward is amazing music and musicians, great food, nice people, and a real good time!

Great old-school bar, Great music every day!…read more We are always happy when we can catch a band at Cats Eye Pub in Fells Point Baltimore. Lots of rock and some americana. We were even happier to catch a blues band the other day! (Jun 2026). Charlie Owen & Pocket Change gave a great performance, with some well-known songs and a number of good more-obscure ones. It's fun when they feature one or another band member for a riff. We also love the divey character of the bar, while the crowd is more hip than divey. It's dark and gets crowded. The stools at the bar and by the windows always fill up. The ones along the wall come and go. The dance floor is usually packed. There's a room in back with a few tables, too, and you can hear the band from there, too. The bar has a full selection. They have around two dozen beers on tap, mostly crafts, some standards. Morgan pulled us a Snowball Sour draft from Dundalk's Key Brewing. It was smooth and creamy, only lightly sour, a fairly mild flavor, but well-balanced and pleasant. Steven served us a Banhez Mezcal, nicely flavored, rather mild in that trend to over-refine the bite out of agave spirits. He brought out a tequila that he likes, though i dont recall the name, also smooth and not bitey. We ended with a pure shot of Absolut Peppar, normally an ingredient to add some spice to bloody marys. On its own, there really is no spice, just the dark and slightly bitter bite of jalapeño and black pepper. We love Cat's Eye Pub! It's one of very few spots for blues in Baltimore.

That made the environment interesting to say to the least. Plenty of seating for it to be a bar which was refreshing for Baltimore. Service was so so. It took quite a bit to get the bartender's attention but they were doing a lot so I get it. Food was good. The wings had great flavor but a few of my wings were not wings. They were just chicken balls with bones. Seeing those kind of turned me off and I didn't want eat anymore. So essentially, I left 4 wings on the plate because of how they looked. We also ordered crab dip. That was fantastic! The pita bread they used was so good! Warm with a slight crisp to it. Overall it was a bar, so I wasn't expecting much. I will definitely be going back for the other events the have during the week for something to do this winter.

The night that I went, the manager shared that more than five people had called out, so I'm trying not to hold the service against them. It was clear everyone was working really hard and trying their best. The food took a really long time to come out and unfortunately, it wasn't the best. The pasta was super spicy, which I was not prepared for, but it was enjoyable. The chocolate cake was served cold, and as a result tasted a little gritty. The drinks were nice. The crab dip was all right, but did not come with enough bread to eat it. And when you asked for more you had to pay an additional fee. Overall, I would come back, but I would just make sure I ate somewhere else.

MY FRIEND GOT ROOFIED. MY FRIEND GOT ROOFIED. MY FRIEND GOT ROOFIED. There was also very clearly some operation happening outside where "homeless people" that were clearly just grifters kept getting sent to try and hassle people at the front door. I know for a fact that these people weren't actually homeless - as a homeless person wouldn't have left as soon as I looked them in the eye and called them a fake, they would've just called me an asshole and moved on about tryna get by. The fact that people kept fucking off and replaced by new ones everytime I clocked the hustle means I am correct - there was a shakedown operation happening out front. All the while? There was only one security guard - and all he did was check ID's. I'm sure the dude would've done more if he was properly equipped though. Y'all sincerely need to get your shit together. That was fucking awful. If you are a woman, or empathetic - do not come to this establishment. Apparently you do not have a choice in the matter, you will be manipulated somehow.

We've been for two lessons so far, and are happily anticipating more to come. Chiles is patient, easygoing, and very good at helping us to figure things out when they're going wrong, and the private lesson setting is ideal for working at our own, not-entirely-naturally-gifted pace. We're working on some East Coast swing, and I hope will get to Lindy before we're done. Due to a string of ridiculous schedule conflicts, we haven't made it to one of the Thursday night dances yet, but we're excited to do so eventually. The setting for this place is great - it's in an old mill on the Gwynns Falls River right in the middle of Gwynns Falls-Leakin Park. You have to go over an amazing little bridge to get to it. The river and the woods are right there out the window, and there's a balcony above the dance floor from whence you can watch others dance. Also, this is in the middle of a historic neighborhood with a history of bootlegging. Can't get a lot more perfect than that. Highly recommended.
