After purchasing and returning a skirt bought, I was sent a link for my store credit. Using the link did in fact make the entire process of choosing something new quite easy and stress free...much appreciated. I purchased a tshirt (easy to size) and the zeb wooden hoop earrings. After seeing the quality of the clothes, I would have preferred to have had a full refund. (Also, the return process is lengthy and you have to pay for your own return shipping. I stumbled upon this website and ordered a shirt using some birthday money I received. I got the shirt & didn't like how it fit me so I decided to return it & buy something from a different place. You can imagine my surprise when I was told I would not be refunded MY money, but that I would only receive store credit towards another purchase...what a scam. I would not recommend ordering online from ModBoutique. The clothes are so-so quality, and if you have to return anything you are stuck with a store credit instead of a refund, and that's with following the directions and returning within 7 days of receipt of package. I hesitate to buy from them online because they only offer a gift certificate in return, AFTER you repay to have it shipped back to them. I have never had a problem returning an item but there is no way to check your balance of your gift certificate.( I ordered $200.00 of clothes and they were not as described. way smaller than a large so I have a huge gift certificate) I have emailed asking my balance and how to track it but have not heard anything back. I also, emailed a few months ago a handful of questions and never received an email response. Clothes are cute BUT make sure you know you want the item and or are familiar with product because returning is a pain and you will NOT get any type a response what so ever on any question. read more

SCAM COMPANY- ordered a dress received after 45 days after I ordered it and wanted to exchange it for a different size and they state that it was delivered a week after I ordered it and was past the exchange deadline. I sent them proof that USPS delivered it 45 days after I ordered it and they still were unwilling to assist me (basically saying I was lying, even with PROOF!) the dress was overpriced and cheap material, now I own a dress that I overpaid for that doesn't fit. I ordered the Jessie Booties and when they arrived they were too small. I emailed asking how I could make a return. I was informed that I could exchange them or get an in store credit. The boots were no longer available in any sizes so I asked if I could get my money back. I was told I could only get in store credit. I'm extremely disappointed. I do not want in store credit, I just want those boots in a size that fits or my money back. They stopped replying to my emails on a Thursday, and then deleted a comment I made on their Instagram post. I made a second comment on their Instagram post and then received a response telling me it was a holiday weekend so that is why they haven't replied via email (on a Thursday even though the holiday is Monday) and that they have been in business for 10 years and have always only done in store credit. But here's my thing, if multiple reviews on Google and Yelp are complaining about not getting refunds and are dissatisfied with the policy... Maybe you should change your policy! Plus the customer service is terrible. I'm not sure how they have been in business this long with these reviews and so many dissatisfied customers. read more

Where do I even start... Found this place through a Facebook ad which should speak for itself. I was looking for a pair of Kancan jeans. I went directly to the website and looked at the tab saying "denim". When I clicked on it, the header said Kancan Denim. I thought "well this is perfect". Found 2 pairs, although a little more pricey than Kancan, I purchased in good faith. I received them and both pairs were from an off-the-wall brand. Tried them on and they fit very cheaply and looked terrible, which is hard to do. I initiated a return request and marked it as "item marked incorrectly" which was very much the case. I received an email days later saying that my request had been flagged due to incorrect information. They told me that the items were marked correctly and they would not accept a return. I screenshotted the page for reference and sent it, stating whether it was my mistake or theirs, they should accept my return request because they were indeed marked correctly. No reply received and it has been a week. I have given up, with $140 down the drain for jeans that I could've found at Walmart. Heed my warning and stay FAR away from this place. They have no clue what customer service is and will screw you over. read more

I would NOT recommend shopping here! I would never shop here again. The return process is not good at all, and it is online shopping so of course things are not going to always fit or look how they do online. First of all, they only offer store credit for returns and they take $8 off of the price for you to ship it back to them. If you do an exchange online right away and exchange for something more expensive, they will only let you pay with your credit card for the difference. You can't use a gift card, but a gift card is the only option when you return something (can't get your money back). I called to see if I could do the exchange over the phone and use the gift card for the difference and they said their return system doesn't allow them to use gift cards as a form of payment. Get a new system then! So right now I'm stuck with a gift card for $11 and there is nothing in the store for that price. I don't really want to spend any more money at their store but would like to at least get something for the money I originally spent. I originally bought a $66 dollar top but am down to about $35 in gift cards because of the amount they charge to return items, and the fact that they won't let you use a gift card when you are trying to exchange for a more expensive item. Definitely better places with better return policies for online shopping! read more

I have shopped online with Mod Boutique for a long time and had spent a good amount of money buying my favorite brand THML from them. As a token of their appreciation I had received a code from them for $50 off my next purchase. I figured since there was no expiration date I'd save it till they started posting their THML spring line. In January, once I noticed a few cute THML tops I loaded up my cart and went to check out. When I went to check out I had put the $50 off code in and it was getting rejected. I decided to send Mod Boutique a message asking why the code was not working and was very disturbed by the response I received "I believe those codes expired before the holiday and unfortunately we had a customer leak the code to multiple people who were not intended to be recipients". I'm sorry but no there was no expiration on the code or else I would of used it and also its not by problem they didn't send out individual codes. So basically I'm getting screwed because of something another person did. Unfortunately, I still have credit with them but after that I'm DONE shopping with them. POOR customer service towards someone who shopped with them regularly and spent good money!!! read more

Clothing was not as nice of quality as I hoped when looking at pictures online. I bought 4 items online and one item had a hole in it when I removed it from package. The online packaging manager blamed UPS then me. Poor costumer service if there is an issue with transition. Beware! No return policy for online shipped items and if a shipping issue keep plastic packaging for reference. I was hoping to support local business but was disappointed in the end. read more

I got my first order from mod boutique and I was very disappointed. The colors of the clothing in the pictures online were definitely much brighter than the actual clothing and the quality of clothes is so cheap. Their policy is you can't return purchases made online , which I did and now I am stuck with ugly faded/ cheaply made clothing that I paid almost $100 for. This is not the first time that I have shopped from an online boutique , never had such bad experience. I could have got same stuff for one fourth that money from some Chinese website but I don't prefer shopping from Chinese websites because they can be deceiving ( clothes look better in online pictures than in reality) and also their quality is bad. This is why I chose to shop at a Boutique in the US with clothing listed at reasonable prices. But I think all their clothes come from such Chinese websites or their business model is similar to those websites. Bad business ethic if you dupe your customers like this. read more
