I was weirded out by the booking process, which required submitting half the total cost of the stay via wire transfer or PayPal, which is something scammers do. Even more disturbing was that I messaged them via booking.com to accept that they recieved the deposit thru PayPal and they did not respond. In the US, this is discouraging for travelers since it is common practice to use credit cards since they are safer for the consumer. Luckily, it was not a scam and I was able to check in with no problem. It's worth noting that this property is cash only in every regard. They only accept cash, which means you need to bring a big wad of pesos with you. The bill on checkout is also paid via cash, as is the restaurant tab or any expenses you may incur. They should probably look into accepting at least Mastercard or Visa, since no credit card especially when reserving is a dealbreaker for cautious people. The resort is very small but very nice, with only a few bungalows. That meant we didn't really see many other guests for the duration of our stay. There is an onsite restaurant and a small but nice pool. There is a laundry service (3rd party, but handled by the property). They are also able to help you arrange tours and rides to and from the airport. They also rent motorbikes, if you are so inclined. I think the best way to describe this resort is, for private people who want to be left alone. The room itself was half of a duplex, with a nice bathroom and functional design. The air conditioner worked wonderfully, and I was able to have many nights of good sleep. The property itself is nicely maintained. We ate at the restaurant quite a bit, for breakfast and for dinner. The food is excellent quality and the prices are fair for the area. My only reservations about this property were that 1- It can be difficult to find, especially if you are unfamiliar with the area. Even some drivers had no idea where it was (across the FilOil gas station). 2- It's at the end of a dirt road, and the road can be difficult to walk especially when it rains 3- The property has some strange rules, but they're obviously in place because some guests did something crazy and made a need for the rules. I personally had no problem with the rules, because I have common courtesy, but I can see some people getting offended by them. 4- Only handsoap and shampoo (had to ask) for toiletries. The only resort out of 5 I stayed in during my trip with incomplete amenities. The front desk person told me that they're having an issue with the vendor regarding it, so it was unavailable.

I used a tour company to book our time in the Philippines as there is a lot of coordination with Island hopping. I trusted all their choices and this one surely didn't disappoint. Our room had its own pool. It 2as shared with 3 other rooms, but pretty much private and open 24 hrs. The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. A refillable water station was right outside our door. The food here is delicious. Breakfast was included with our stay and had so much variety. We ate seven meals on site and enjoyed it all. The grounds were fantastic! A big pool that never felt crowded, a couple restaurants, pool bar/restaurant, nightly welcome show, and more. A quick 5 minute tuktuk into town to enjoy an evening out was easy and convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

At first u was hesitant because I thought I would have to pay for a day pass or something. She assured me that it's housed on a public beach and that the resort lets non guest enter. I spent an entire day here and I was in awe. The workers were so nice and kind. You can use their beach chairs too! You are encouraged to order something but it's not forced upon you. Honestly I wish I knew about this place before. I recommend everyone to come here. very relaxing with a real wide beach and space to move around unlike Alona. Also no beach sellers! Just pure perfection.

Hotel has a gate (w/guard) but you can easily walk out and find local laundry services (other than what is offered at the hotel). There's also a small shopping center that is walking distance with a few restaurants and shops. Staff and service were fantastic as everyone is super friendly and they almost seem to go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and are enjoying your stay. The infinity pool is fantastic (for kids and adults)..... nice to also have the beach option but this part of the island is more remote... as the other reviews state, you can find better beaches at other resorts, but here it is more quiet and family oriented. Breakfast Buffet was superb with a rotation of offerings for vegetarians and omnivores alike. Special request items (eggs cooked to order, etc.) are just an ask away.

Hennan Tawala pool appears large but is actually 4 pools divided in 4 sections that doesn't even connect. Our room was far from the beach and still had some walking distance. Had issues connecting my devices to their WiFi. The pool water was cold. They have 2 jacuzzis but all had cold water too. This place charge more than the other hotels in the area for sub-par service. I was charged extra for my 8year old who is considered an adult in their perspective. We were also charged extra for towels we never redeemed. This place will find every reason to charge their customers extra. They will charge you extra if you try to bring food from outside to your room too. I must say the best part of our stay was breakfast & the worst part was the extra charges, cold showers, cold water, and COLD treatment from their manager specifically the front staff/manager Jonabelle when trying to reason regarding extra charges. This place was definitely EXTRA (charges) and so OVER-rated. Not too kid friendly as they charged extra for 6years and older. They do not offer anything for the kids except to take a dip in their frigid pools. We will not be returning nor will we recommend. Save yourself the money & headache because the pictures shown on their sites are all just sugar coating. Note:. Had I known Hennan Tawala would be so shady, we wouldn't have stayed there at all. we are getting far better treatment, shown more honesty, and feel more relaxed at a 3 star actual beachfront hotel in Panglao. Do better Hennan Tawala!!

It is not located on the beach, but it's in the center of the resort. You have three Henann hotels here's side by side. The service here at At Henann Alona, I think, is much better than any of the Henanns that I've stayed at in Boracay. The main negative here is that if you stayed at Henann before, you know they have some of the worst non-HD flat screen TV's of any major hotel chain in the Philippines. Also, the lighting in the bathroom is in need of more brightness at the mirrors, especially if you need to be looking at yourself shaving. Other than that, I think having a mini pool I didn't have to share was a plus.

Four of us siblings stayed at the grand villa while my brother and his wife stayed at the dream villa, just across the man made lagoon from us. These lagoons surround all the villas. Our Grand Villa had two bedrooms, one with a king bed downstairs and two twin beds upstairs, each with a huge well-appointed bathrooms, and a large family room and a kitchenette complete with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, plates and utensils. Just as soon as we were settled in, after check-in, fresh juice in a real coconut along with a welcome platter of snacks was delivered to our respective villas. Snack plates were delivered to us every day. The entire resort is surrounded with lush vegetation, lots of flowers and remarkable landscaping. We had lunch at one of their five restaurants, this one with a cozy ambiance just a short walk from our villas with views of larger pools and the ocean. Lunch consisted of traditional Filipino dishes which were not only well presented but were delicious as expected of a top rated resort as well. The room service dinner we had was no different. We then explored the scenic white sand beach with a great view of the ocean. I actually spent some alone time in one of the many lounge chairs under the trees. Just like BE resort in Mactan, Cebu, the best feature of this resort are the tireless, friendliest, professional, helpful and most efficient people that worked there, specially the resort manager, Pearl Yang and staff member Uriel and others who we were lucky enough to be attended too, or who gave us a friendly hi. Thank you for pampering us!. We never had to wait long for anything we requested. I had high expectations when we planned this trip, and BE Grand resort not only surpassed all of them, we got more: we were treated like royalty!

This resort was amazing and great for everyone!…read more I came here in February with the majority of my family. We were a group of 10, My Aunt, two cousins, my cousin's girl friend, My mom, my sister, my brother, my brother's fiancé, and my daughter and I. Despite our age gaps, we all enjoyed our time here! The ENTIRE staff was very welcoming and friendly! Our rooms were GORGEOUS... especially our bathroom which was partly outdoors. We had a beautiful tub and a rainforest shower head next to it. I LOOOOVE that they had a pool right in front of our room (and the bar) and that it was open late! After our adventure throughout Bohol, we had 4 hours until dinner (which was also at the resort). There were chairs between the pool and the bar so we left our stuff there while we played in the (huge) pool and went back to get snacks and drinks. For people who don't drink alcohol, their watermelon and mango shakes were AMAZING. Definitely a must have to sip on while sitting pool side. The snacks are also pretty good as well! We finally got to try qwek-qwek and we LOVED IT! What I loved about the pool was the middle section. There's a bridge that leads from one side of the resort to the other and in the middle of the bridge it leads down to the middle of the pool where they have chairs to it on (the water for this section goes above the ankle. My mom and aunt got to sit there and gossip while the rest of us were playing around in the pool with my daughter. We had Dinner and breakfast there and both were amazing. We didn't have enough time to get massages or check out the beach part of the resort. 10/10 would recommend staying here! I am definitely coming back next time I'm in Bohol!

We spent our time in the pools and had a great day. The room is VERY NICE. Love the floating beds, first time ever seeing it. There is natural light coming into bathroom and rock floor shower and jacuzzi bath tube. I always go for a bubble bath when they have this in the hotel rooms. Also great desk for office work. As for the team building they served us a lot of meals and food, had a great room to facilitate our team building exercises. Thank you! Everyone really enjoyed it! Upon entering our room, we could already see chipped furnishing and noticed the place was really worn down compared to photos online. The ceiling had brown smudge marks as if someone had attempted to clean it and failed. Spots of mold were found all around the bathroom within the grout. We complained about the water not being heated and the staff said it was due to the solar panels not getting enough sun. Speaking of the water, the tap was salty as if they were pumping it from the beach. As for the breakfast, it could definitely be better. They were serving rice, pancit, eggs, fried pork, corned beef, and canned mixed fruit. The eggs were cold and the pork seemed like stale leftovers. We were only allowed one serving of everything, but it didn't matter since I barely touched any of it. Hopefully, people are aware of these flaws before booking, because personally, I wouldn't want to stay here again. Gave an extra star for the AC working flawlessly.
