These guys were top notch! We used them twice in the last 12 months, once through our contractor during our major renovation and then for a broken water main this February. Dominic came out to look at the job for the broken water main, gave us an estimate with in half day. Two days later we had Dylan and staff to fix the broken water main. It was done in two days during freezing cold weather. They cleaned up after each day, provided safety barriers and even salted the surrounding area so no one slipped. At the end of the second day Dylan suggested I changed the hose bib so it wouldn't freeze in the winter. Well the day he changed it the hose bib freeze and cracked! Lucky for us. Very over priced and wrong information given, thank god I had a few companies come to give estimates.

No one wants a flood in their house. But when our sump pump failed that's what we got! Of course this happened during a big storm but when we called Modern Drainage they were at our house within a few hours and quickly installed a temporary sump to minimize the damage. Over the next couple of weeks they identified the problems with our sump system (there were many) and fixed them very efficiently. They were a pleasure to deal with and very professional. In February 2010 my husband and I purchased our first home. Sadly, 4 months later he passed away tragically in an accident. Come my first very wet rainy fall, I saw I had a massive drainage problem. My main drain in front of my garage was not connected to any underground drain pipe and my garage was flooding with every rain. As I was now trying to maintain a house on my own, I was very nervous about hiring a drainage company that would not take advantage of me and the fact I had no knowledge of plumbing. Over this last weekend, once again, I found myself with a massive leak, a waterline on the perimeter of my house line burst. I didn't even have to think about who to call. I picked up the phone and heard the sweet voice of Kayle, the daughter of Mike Hartman (the owner). I had someone at my house within 2 hours with much better news than anticipated. 3 hours after that, Mike had his now grown up son at my home connecting a hose from my neighbours so that I had water until they were able to fix the problem a few days later. Not only do I have new waterlines but a lawn and yard that looks even better than before! There is a reason why Modern Drainage is still serving the lower mainland since 1987.
