Once again, Drips & Drains proved to be the most reliable, competent and honest plumbing company I've ever dealt with. This time, I had a real emergency because the main drain had become blocked by tree roots, and the sump was backing up and flooding the basement. Moreover, it was raining steadily and continued to do so all night, so I spent twelve and a half hours baling out the basement. Fortunately, I was able to call Drips & Drains at 6:00 a.m. Tuesday morning and make an appointment for later that day. Andy and John arrived at about 9:00 a.m. and proceeded to pump out the sump and clear the blockage in the main drain with a power auger. Obviously, it was a relief to have the problem solved, but it was also a pleasure to have the repairs done by people who were enthusiastic about their profession and genuinely concerned about the quality of their work. Most unprofessional and incompetent contracting company! Ben Wennes at Drips & Drains, failed to do as he had agreed. We did not receive the digital temperature control promised to us, and the old furnace that he promised to dispose of, was simply left in our backyard for us (two seniors) to dispose on our own. Furthermore, when the City of Vancouver inspector came to inspect our property on January 27, 2016, the work Ben did was not done to city code, therefore failing our initial inspection. I specifically recall the City Inspector clearly telling Ben that he had used the wrong gauge of ducts in his installation of the B-vent and that it was his responsibility to fix this mistake. Because of Ben's negligence, our inspection not only failed the city's initial inspection but delayed our project, that almost left my family homeless. I called Ben numerous times to get a hold of him to fix his mistakes. When I finally got in touch with you on February 3, 2016, he told me that he "did not have time" for me and "would not come to fix the problem" that he had made. As a result I had to hire another contractor to fix your mistakes. Due to Drips & Drains lack of attentiveness and disrespect to us as their clients, and their insistence for us to pay an invoice for a job that was incomplete, we were forced to go to the extent of retaining a lawyer and sought legal council to resolve our complaint. Fortunately after one year of contacting them, Drips & Drains agreed to absolve their invoice and clear our client account of any fees outside of litigation. Although this dispute was settled outside of court, I would never recommend Ben or his company to anyone. read more

Having a plugged toilet at any time is a nightmare, at best, but when you also have a house guest? Help! I googled the best plumbers in Vancouver and decided to call this company as my first call. Well, it was my ONLY call! Ben was amazing, he walked me through all the steps I needed to do to try to unplug it myself, first. Within a few minutes of his patient direction and understanding, I had a clear toilet! But what makes this even more amazing, is that he had been receiving numerous calls of various plumbing emergencies, and due to the current world crisis we are now in as a result of the COVD 19 virus, he wanted to do his part in helping out by taking the time to help people out as much as possible over the telephone- saving us an expensive plumbing bill, but also with him not receiving any revenue as a result. In this incredibly difficult and stressful time for so many people right now, it is truly heartwarming to find such good, caring and giving people in the world. I like to check out the reviews on a company before hiring them, and Drips & Drains had several 5 star ratings from regular Yelp users. Another reason I called them was because of the replies to the reviews sent by Ali here. It demonstrates to me that this group really cares about their customers, which I felt when I spoke on the phone with Ali, and got many of my questions answered about replacing my hot water tank. When I asked her a technical question, she referred me to Kris, who went above and beyond to source correct information for my particular situation. That sealed it for me, as I then knew that this is how this company operates, with a very high degree of integrity and customer care. I hired them to do the replacement for my hot water tank, and the serviceman Julio was both very professional and courteous. His thoroughness in doing the job and his pleasant demeanor really added to my already high impression of Drips & Drains. I had a problem with an undermount sink which involved 3 different plumbing firms to solve. The first plumber (initial install) did not provide supports for the sink, aside from sticking it to the underside of the quartz counter with grout. The second plumber (hired for a faucet replacement a year or so later) pointed out a problem where the sink was coming away from the counter and leaving a gap. Without consulting me first he "helpfully" filled in the gap with more grout and pushed the sink into place. Unfortunately, he pushed the sink askew and I was left with a mess. The third plumber (and the ONLY one I will ever use now) was recommended by a friend of my daughter in law. Ben, of Drips and Drains came in the morning (exactly on time), unglued the sink, cleaned up the grout mess, centred the sink and supported it from below with brackets. I thought we would not be able to find a good and reliable plumber until we found Kris @ Drips and Drains. He is knowledgeable, thorough and most importantly, he has passion in his profession. He's able to diagnose and resolve our Navien boiler issue, which is related to incorrect pipping during renovation. We hired another company before Kris, they changed one part after another, more than 6 parts including the motherboard got changed but the issue still not resolved and it had already costed us half year of savings. End up we decided to look for another plumber and we were fortunate that we found Kris. He is the only one who would give us confidence that after re-pipping, the issue will be resolved as long as we service the boiler regularly. Yes. It is costly, we have already spent more than a year of savings, but we know from now on, if we need a plumber, who to look for! read more

So when we had an issue with a leaking toilet in our new house I called them right away. The company has grown so we were going to get a new repairman as Ben was on a big job. From the moment we met Julio we knew we were in very good hands again- friendly, patient, and clear and very competent. I've found my new go-to plumbing company. These guys are great and very reliable. I had issues all over, sink wasn't draining quite right, and worst of all my bathtub wasn't draining, that gets really nasty. I looked these guys up online, read a couple reviews, seemed good and sure enough they were on it. Really friendly guys, work hard, aren't half-assing the job to get more $ by staying longer. They were in and out and I have zero regrets or wish I chose a different company. They're legit, get your pipes fixed and feel good you weren't taken for everything you've got. On Wednesday night, our drainage was causing a backflow that was coming out of a floordrain. Ben picked up the phone at 10:30PM and helped us set up an appointment for the next morning. He was very friendly and patient, answering all my questions thoroughly. John and Julian came promptly the next morning. The service and quality of work we got was great. Thorough explanations of what they were doing and very clean. There was no mess to clean after they left and they reinstalled our washer and dryer (which was over the floordrain). They suggested solutions to our drainage issue (this is the second time we've had a problem) and they were very reasonable. We didn't feel pressured or pushed into anything. I'm very happy with Drips & Drains Plumbing and Heating for servicing my boiler. I asked a lot of questions and the receptionist was very patient and honest. Then I got Chris who was very very professional. I'm the kind of guy who is very technical and I was impressed with his knowledge of the system. He cleaned the boiler, explained the mistakes with the wiring, discovered the outside temperature sensor was missing and installed it, and made recommendations for future changes. There was a component that I thought needed replacing but he diagnose/fix it that saves me money. He was efficient and quick, and the bill had no surprises. The service was excellent from beginning to end. Laurel in the office helped me choose a toilet that would fit it my cramped bathroom, and checked with the plumbers to make sure the replacement hot water tank could be installed in its cramped cupboard. The plumbers called when they were on their way, so I'd know exactly when to expect them, and arrived right on time. They were friendly and very efficient, and they even found time to do an (unscheduled) replacement of my washing-machine hoses. The new hot water tank installation is much better than the old one, with earthquake-restraint straps and a leak sensor! The price was very reasonable and I'd certainly use them again. read more

This company is first class. The owner Ben responded immediately to assess problem of exterior pipe leak which turned out to be a leak in pipe connection of sewage outflow . Access to pipe leak under walkway was difficult and John and Julian excavated by hand lying on their sides in tight conditions. They saved me a lot of money by doing the job without breaking up the concrete walkway. Laurel got back to me within less than an hour of me submitting the inquiry and was very helpful and patient in dealing with all my questions. it rained very hard for a few days Oct15-20 and our basement flooded. Two guys, David and Iain were dispatched in two days despite their busy schedule. They came and unclogged , within 30 minutes the drain that was the root of the flooding. They had a heavy duty machine that continued the drill cutting for another 45 minutes to cut thru the drain gunk and roots.. This tied into the kitchen sink which they used their skull to unclogg. i liked their friendly manner and understated professionalism . They are true heroes in coming to our rescue. very modest , unassuming, mild mannered like Clark Kent but were Supermen. read more
