Theo was the technician the first visit, and Sia did the recent call, both provided top shelf service. I found them to be on time, accurate, very fair price wise and ultimately highly trustworthy, along with being good people. They won't sell you something you don't need, but also won't just band aid a solution. They will recommend what is necessary to do now with an eye down the road as to what will be your best choice long term. In our case, they could have replaced the blower and other parts on the old furnace for about half the price of a new one (which comes with a 10 year warranty), so the decision was easy to replace the entire unit. Expensive now but don't have to worry about again. Cannot recommend these gentleman and this company enough!

Mr. Rooter Surrey overcharged clients -bad customer service…read more A technician came to my house in Surrey to replace a zone valve for my boiler. It took him about five minutes to identify the valve that needed to be replaced (we had told him it was a zone valve issue) and then he went shopping for a new valve. After he came back with a valve, it took him less than one hour to install it. Per the technician, the new valve costs about $200 and per the company, the service fee is $198 per hour, but they charged me over $600. That is not right. Mr. Rooter customer service lady said they did not have a standard for charging customers per what service they did, they charge the money depends on how long a technician is out for the task. If the technician went out a whole day, then the customer had to pay the company for a whole day. Mr. Rooter customer service lady said they should have charges me over $700. I had the same kind of valves changed before, it just costed less than $300 for replacing one valve. I know the price and service fee are up so I think $400 is fine, but over $ 600 or $700 for replacing a valve is not reasonable. (Actually the price of the zone valve just increased a little bit.) (I had used the services of Mr. Rooter for many years. It was a good company in the past, when technicians came, they had the parts with them and they knew how much they should charge, they did not need to call their boss asking what they should charge us.) Unfortunately it is not a good company anymore.

Did the job of replacing a toilet waste pipe quickly and efficiently in less than an hour. And he was friendly and communicative. The cost was as reasonable as any plumber but I don't think I could give any of them five stars just in principle - ($89 'service call' fee before they've even knocked on your door).
