Wow, very impressed. For my boss's 60th birthday a beautiful bouquet of flowers were delivered to her office, except she was not there (and won't be there for awhile). So I put the word out via Yelp's estimate request to have her flowers delivered to her at a meeting tomorrow and Mo from Modern was the first to respond (within minutes) AND he gave me what turned out to be the best quote (I know this because eventually other services responded with higher quotes). Some of the other services directed me to their websites to get an estimate or place the order, but Mo came up with a fast estimate on the phone and took my order at that time which made my life very easy. We had a rush job, and the folks at Modern Express Courier were wonderful. I didn't have all of the information (waiting on contact info for some of the documents), and they worked with me throughout the day to make sure someone could pick up the documents in time. We ended up having to delay and then cancel the order all together (for reasons completely unrelated to the courier service). However, the staff's flexibility and kindness were very appreciated. Yet, the folks at Modern Mail Express offered such phenomenal customer service, that I am simply duty-bound to share this extraordinary company w/ other busy professionals. Here's what happened: I was busy trying to work all day & prepare at the same time for a fast-approaching trip to China. I couldn't keep going back & forth to SF to get all my passport/visa stuff taken care. So, I called Modern Mail to find out about their round-trip courier service options. Their ultra fast & pleasant customer care personnel took my order w/ gorgeous efficiency & then, literally, within minutes, the driver was at my office, collecting my package (cute & w/ nice smile too!). The most amazing part happened next; as it turned out, I made a mistake & enclosed a check as payment for my visa, which the Chinese embassy does not accept! Would you believe, in order to help me out, Mo (the driver that day & also the owner) actually paid cash for my visa out of his own pocket !!??? Had he not done this, I wouldn't have gotten my visa in time & would have missed my flight the next day - major disaster averted! Naturally, I paid Mo back the moment he returned to my office! In the mean time, I am forever changed; near religious experience; am converted back into a people-loving optimist all over again. I could not believe he, a perfect stranger to me up until that moment, would have gone so far out of his way to help me, his brand-new customer. You must experience this level of care to believe it.
