We got our sofa, love seat, and glass coffee table at Modern Interior Furniture few years ago and we like their service and delivery. We decided to change our daughter's bed to loft bed with desk so we stopped by there again based on the good experience last time. Jerry is the owner and he helped us personally this time. He was patiently helped us to look for the loft bed that we like from the catalog. Their price is fair and we were satisfied for their on-time delivery. We paid for the deposit and then they delivered the loft bed with desk on the scheduled appointment on the following week and then we paid in full on the delivery day. It took them less than 2 hours to finish installation for the whole loft bed. After a day later, we called Jerry again and asked him why there's some squeaking sound when my daughter climbs up the stairs. He sent his drivers again and they tried their best to fix the issue. BEWARE! Jerry will say anything to get you to buy. My family came into the store to purchase a new couch. We saw this beautiful gray couch that was super comfortable. My mom's main criteria for the new couch was for it to be genuine leather and for it last for years. Jerry completely LIED to her saying that the couch was genuine leather and this couch would last for years as the factory that the couch was made at was trustworthy.We decided to trust Jerry and went ahead with the purchase since he gave a "decent" price. Not even a year later, the couch started falling apart. The leather on the couch is not genuine. The couch has tears and the springs poke you in the a$$ when sitting down on the couch. When we brought this up with Jerry, he told us that he has no recollection of selling us the couch. He said that he would do us a "solid" by selling us another couch for $3,700 that he guaranteed would last for years and would be genuine leather. At Modern Interior Furniture in Rowland Heights the quality of the furniture is far more superior. I had the furniture delivered to my home in two days. The staff was professional and very helpful. I picked a marble table and designer chairs from a different dining room table set. The staff was very helpful, especially Vicki who took time to listen and help me by placing the furniture together so that I can visually see what it looked like before deciding. Terrible service!!! Avoid this place!! They will let their delivery workers go into your home WITHOUT your permission. I bought a couch here couple months ago and had them deliver it to my house. The delivery was scheduled for a Saturday 1-3PM. The delivery workers arrived at my house at 11AM. I was not home at that time. They called me, and I told them that I was not home, I was 20 minutes away. I immediately called the store to speak with the store owner. I told him that his workers arrived way before the scheduled time. I was running errands that morning. I had to rush home. On the same day, I had a contractor inside my home helping me do some work. 10 minutes later, the store owner called me back saying the couch was already installed inside my home...WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. My contractor had the front door left opened because he has tools outside that he needs to use. The delivery drivers saw that it was opened and walked into my home. I had specifically told them do not go inside until I arrive. I had also specifically told the store owner about this as well. When I arrived to my house, I noticed damages on my wall. My house was a new construction home and this was the very first piece of furniture in my home. I called the store owner again and told him about the damages. I told him how unhappy I was that his delivery workers decided to walk into my home without my permission. He did not want to take responsibility for any of it. He told me that because my home was a new construction home, my builder should be able to repair the damages. Basically telling me that he will not do anything about the damages and to handle it by myself. I would not have been so angry about the situation if his workers had not just walked into my home without my presence...they literally trespassed into my home. read more

The selection at this place is sufficient but could be more. Some items seem a bit old fashioned but most of it is very traditional with a few modern items thrown in. Price is reasonable and can be negotiable. Shipping was only $20 and I got to pick the date of the delivery and it delivered on time with no problems. I bought a fabulous dining table with 6 chairs and it's so classic. I can tell it will last me for a long long time. It's very good quality. Real wood and was so affordable. Again, just needs better selection, but once you find something you like, this places ends up a winner. read more

I first purchased my furniture from Modern Interiors about 13 years ago. I am very satisfied with the dining table that I bought, which stays in style and remains in great quality. The mattress that I purchased is still very firm and feels like new. I came back recently to buy new furniture for my guest room. However, one week delivery delay, coffee table is DAMAGED and they are not willing to give refund, only to insist that they have to exchange the coffee table. IF return is requested, then they will HAVE to charge $80 on delivery fee on all the furniture that was delivered. WTH!! On contract it says $0 on delivery, but they said it doesnt matter, if any refund they will charge $80 on delivery fee. DO NOT Recommend anyone to buy from them. read more

Horrible customer service when we walked in we were asked "how can I help you?" I asked the sales lady Wiki the price of an item. She stated "the price is there." I said no it's not seems to have faded away. She takes one step forward and says 599 without even looking at the item as if she just made up some number from her head. I thought she asked how can she help, but was really of no help at all. She was very rude the whole time we were there which made us so uncomfortable we left . My guess is that's what she wanted. I purchased a full size bed end of May this year. After four months, the paint on the side rail started to crack peeling off. I called and talked to store clerk. She was not helping at all but giving me a hard time asking me to pick up the side rail myself and said they charge $80 for replace the rail for me. Dont be fooled by the nice looking furniture. They are actually low quality. Spent $2000+ on a sofa set but broken in less than three years (we did not mistreat it in any way). They couldnt help at all. We have to pay the full repair cost. The Warranty is only one year. Even then they will cover a portion of the repair cost (according to the manager). None of these were made clear to us when we purchased through the same manager. Be aware of what you are signing up! I am surprised this furniture store is still in business. They have no return policy and after I bought several pieces of furniture, I found most of the pieces online for hundreds of dollars less. The chairs I purchased ended up back ordered for over a month when they told me initially they were in stock. Please be careful when dealing with this store. Make sure you do your research online before you make any purchase here. Just remember everything is final sale and if you do convince them to take something back, they charge you a ridiculous restocking fee. read more
