He made a few suggestions for upgrades around our yard. Both backyard and front walkway. After going to the nursery that they deal with that same very day, we placed our order. Replacing two centennial hollies with black mulch was a start. Followed by 3 hostas by our walkway. Also added a small knock out bush (rose) , along with one smallish gold mop by the front corner. It took the 4 guys a tad over an hour to get everything planted. Prices are reasonable. Expect to wait a few weeks for your work to be completed. This is a local business in the area of South River/Sayreville/South Amboy NJ. Thanks for bringing back our yard.

A thousand bucks! They responded to calls and emails quickly and left the estimate on professionally-prepared documents about insurance and other aspects of the job. They showed up early on the day they said they would and double-checked with me the night before doing anything. Another cool thing: I planned on moving all the wood chips from the ground-up stump to around some other trees--like mulch. When I got home from work, I found that the tree guys had already done this without being asked. How cool is that? They left ZERO mess in my yard: other than the remaining chips by the stump, there are no wood shavings all over the pace and no branches lying around. That tree is really gone. Took one day for the job. I wish they also did bathrooms, tile, home remodeling, siding, and masonry. That's how much I like these guys. As a regular-old central Jersey homeowner, I have paid for my share of contractors; Promise Tree service is the best of any I have ever hired. If they had a T-shirt, I'd wear it. Bravo!

The next day they came, they didn't finish their job. They didn't cut all the planets, didn't fix the titles, and also didn't add the top soil in all the places that was agreed on.. however he said he was coming the next day and asked for the rest of his money. So, we did give him the rest of his money and he promised to come the next day. The third day he didn't show up and when we tried to call or text he didn't respond. Then at the end of the day he said his job is done and he is not coming to finish the rest of his job. He left his job not done and his excuse was that he gave us a cheap price and he can't do the rest of what we agreed one. Also, he can be aggressive sometimes and might not show the respect that you expect from a typical service company. My advice is not to hire him or if you hire him, make sure that you don't pay him till the end. Also make sure that you have everything you agree on written down , just in case. Even though we did have a text message with most of the details. he still gave us a hard time
