After dropping her off, we had only been gone for about three minutes when we received a call saying she wasn't separating well and asking us to come back. When we returned, the staff member at the front desk simply handed us our check and said, "Maybe next year." I was really disappointed by how quickly the decision was made. I believe a better approach would have been to give us the opportunity to stay and let her adjust to the environment, or even allow her to participate with me nearby to see if she became comfortable. Many toddlers need a little time to warm up to a new setting. Instead, it felt like they were more interested in refunding our money than helping her succeed. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I won't be returning. It's especially disappointing because I have two daughters and was hoping to support a local business, but we'll be looking for a program in another town instead. The place was super cute though!

Director Jacky couldn't find the name on the roster. I pointed to my daughters name and she said I thought you said a different name . We asked Amanda, the teacher to show us where we are seating. Go figure our seats are all the way towards the back of the football field . I asked why are we sitting here at the end ? I can't even see the stage ... She screams because you were the last that paid for the tickets . I asked what does that have to do with anything ? She said again loud and clear, "You paid last you're seated last". I was totally embarrassed by this incident . I asked for my hard earned money back and she screams Again refund these people their money back . I must mention we are the only Latino and mixed race parents there . We were treated like second class citizens. Our daughter will not go back there at all

I recently graduated from the massage therapy program at American Institute and I can confidently…read moresay that I would not recommend this program to anyone solely because of the program director, Latisha Slaughter. During my time in this program, I observed and was on the other side of the most immense favoritism I have ever seen from a teacher. The students who received favoritism were those who did not oppose any opinions that came out of Latisha's mouth. Because I was a student who occasionally disagreed with her, I received backlash from her during class. On multiple occasions, I received dirty looks and snide comments and was often told not to participate in class due to my prior education in science. Latisha often expected us to come into class having already taught ourselves the material and would show her disappointment by making us sit in silence if that was not the case. While the other teachers showed fairness in their classes, the majority of the curriculum is taught by Latisha. When I brought up my concerns to the campus director, I was basically told that I should just move on because I was already done and that they'd talk to Latisha but I honestly doubt they did. The only reason I did not change schools is because I wasn't about to pay another tuition to start over. The tuition is unnecessarily expensive for an 8 month program where you're expected to learn at warp speed and punished if you don't. If you are someone who has your own opinions or any sort of personality, I highly encourage you to choose a different school.
