First of all I'm only giving it one star because you have to, to be able to write a review. This place was horrible! They botched the paint job, charged more than their brochure for "organic material", I mean what a scam. I wouldn't recommend this place to someone that I didn't even like. Awful! Had to go back because the French manicure was so bad wanted it covered and can't even paint a starfish. He was shaking so bad he could barley paint the nails. They do not understand English Just go to delil nails amazing ask for heather! read more

I am visiting family in the area. My husband and I went in for a manicure and pedicure. There was not wait when we walked in. We were handed a menu of manicures and pedicures to choose from starting at $47 for both and going up. I mentioned that I wanted to get tips because my nails were short. When I asked how much they were I did not get a response. But they started to prepare to give me tips. The staff there was chattering in their native language and it seemed as if they were chattering about the customers. It made us feel a little uncomfortable. Throughout the services, the staff kept trying to up sell us on other services such as additional callous removal, foot massage, hot stones, and designs on on nails. I chose to get a design on my big toes. Before we left, I was told everything was good and dry. We paid our bill and left. Not even 2 hours later, the toes where I got the designs were ruined. The polish has smooshed to one side and looked awful. I also noticed that when they put the tips on, they went beyond my nail beds and on to my skin, so that when the stuff starts to peel way from my skin, it will from my nail as well when I try to cut it off. I went back the following day to have them fix my big toes, luckily they did not charge me. The service was the same on this day. The staff kept chattering amongst themselves. The technician who was working on fixing my toes would not listen to me when I told her 4 times the numbers of the polish that was used. She kept bringing over different shades that did not match. Finally another staff member helped her find the numbers. After they fixed my toes, male employee came over and started taking pictures of my feet without permission. I hope he was just taking pictures of the designs, but nothing was explained to me. It just felt creepy. read more

The worst experience..rude and pushy. I asked for a basic pedi the next thing I know I've got hot stones out and I asked her again..yes this is basic. Well when they ran my card it wasn't basic. I was so ready to get outta there I just paid it and left. Never again! read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! Worst SNS experience I've ever had. She let my nails soak in acetone instead of wrapping them in tin foil, which took so much longer because every 2 minutes she would take them out and file them down. She must've done this 10+ times. The technician missed steps. She left a huge mess all around my nails and the colored powder is still on my skin. Not to mention, I was completely over charged, $42 for SNS, when I'm usually charged $30 at my regular salon. She kept nicking the corner of my nails when filing. Parts of my nails are bumpy. She did not do a base coat for SNS, and when doing the top coat, she used a tool to put the powder on top of my nail instead of dipping my nail. My nails were crooked when she was done, and one side of my nail was rounded and the other pointed. You know it's bad when you have to re-file your nails when you get back home. The entire process took 2 hours, when it should've taken 1. NEVER returning here again. read more

Awful! I came to get my fake nails removed because of great reviews in here but never again! They were still mostly attached when I left, but I couldn't tell because of the stuff she put in them and they peeled all week. I would never recommend this place! read more

Went here with my friend last Tuesday. It was fun and a nice experience but my friends nail technician didn't even speak to her and the lady doing my nails didn't clean around the cuticle area/ bottom nail which brings me to my problem now. A week later and because it wasn't cleaned, the gel started lifting and chipping. My friends nails are doing the same. I feel like I just wasted my money. read more

I went in for a manicure and pedicure. The lady doing the pedicure did a great job but I had a man who was doing my manicure. Instead of waiting for my pedicure to be done, he brought his stuff over and did most of it during my pedi. It was very uncomfortable having to twist my body to one side so he could prep my nails, especially since I have had multiple shoulder surgeries. There were other ladies in there who got dual services and they didn't do this for them. I have an infant who was with the sitter (which I told them) and was trying to relax! I couldn't even enjoy the chair massage bc he turned it off so he could prep my nails! When my pedi was over, I had to go to his station so he could fix the half ass job he did. The other manicurists gave their clients a neck and shoulder massage but I didn't get one and could have really used one after having to twist in the chair to accomodate him. The place wasn't even busy. I obviously do not recommend this place. read more

I have given the salon 2 chances with two different nail technicians for pedicures. Both times I walked out with scratches on my ankles, unevenly filed nails, and sloppy nail polish job. The nail techs barely looked at my feel while filing and scrubbing. Instead, they kept trying to upsell (the same thing three times), and laughed with fellow techs while looking at different customers. The only communication with me was to praise their work. When I pointed out the bleeding toes, scratches and awfully sloppy polish job they seemed taken aback and tried to fix it by putting another coat of polish on, and by putting regular lotion on the scratches. This blew my mind. I don't think they take the customers very seriously. Needless to say, I will never go back. I am disappointed because I completely wasted my money. Could have done a better job at home. read more

Consumers Beware!!! Modern Nails and Spa in Burlington..(near Chilli's in Alamance Crossing). Went in and asked for a full set... told her she could just push my cuticles back if they needed it... that was all I said... After 1.5 hours the bill was $64... I about fell out of my chair. I was expecting maybe $25 for a full set...(normal price).. But $64...never would I have paid that. Signs were not posted about prices and I never bothered to ask (that is my fault) but dang talk about a rip off... Share with your friends so that they are not taken advantage of. I am one very upset consumer..... If I could block the charge on my debit card I would.... UGHHHHH!!!! read more

I went a few weeks ago for a gel manicure. The lady doing them put the wrong color on twice and kept telling me the color would darken; even though I kept telling her that I wanted a dark red, not hot pink. It turns out they had two colors under the same number. Finally, I just left with the second color on because I had been there so long. Once I left, I noticed the polish had bubbled up and was all over my cuticles and fingertips. The polish had peeled off on all my fingers within a few days. I called the next day to get my money refunded and was told they don't do that but I could get a gift certificate for a free gel manicure. I went back a few weeks later. When I went to hand in my certificate, I was told I still owed $19 for the actual manicure - apparently the certificate only covered the polish. The man who did my nails had also done the paraffin wax without asking first and tried to charge me an additional $5. I kept being told I owed money but they couldn't explain why. Someone else finally came up and told me I could go and didn't have to pay. Even a few days later, this polish is starting to peel as well. I do not recommend this place. read more

If I could give a 0 I would. Worse manicure every. The nail specialist cut my skin trimming my cuticles so badly that I screamed and it never stooped bleeding until finally she just painted over it with polish. She then made a mess of the shellac police all over my cuticles on 6 fingers and when I asked her if we could fix it she tried to act like she suddenly didn't know English any longer. Then when I asked again she said "Well what would you like me to do about it" in a very rude tone. At that point I stood up and said no thank you to the remainder of my full manicure. Passed on the lotion and massage. When I spoke with the receptionist to let her know I was dissatisfied and I'd like to pay the specialist ran over asking if something was wrong and took my card and swiped it without even asking or telling me my total. When I asked how much she was going to charge me she said for full manicure. After letting her know I was not happy about that as I declined the full manicure she reduced the price to $20.
