Over time, I started realizing I was losing my arch, my hairs at the end of my brow were sparse, and that one arch was higher than the other. Yikes. Although I loved going there, I needed a change. Her store is in a house right next to Cookout. So easy to find. Her studio is located at the back of her house. It is very clean and professional. She is very accommodating to your schedule and is as sweet as can be! Her prices are so reasonable. Just make sure you bring cash! I had a bad experience in the past with eyebrow threading in California.. HOWEVER, after one session with Alpa, she has forever changed my views about threading. Alpa made sure I was comfortable and kept checking to see if I was okay. I did not have any problems during the session! She listened to what I wanted and restored my beautiful arched brows. I've had many people come up to me asking where I get them done. Needless to say, I will no longer be going to have my eyebrows waxed. Theading with Alpa gave me the precision I wanted! They require masks at all times, you only enter at your scheduled appointment time and your enter and exit are at opposite ends of the establishment so you don't run the risk of being near anyone for potential exposure. After over a year of being quiet I feel the need to speak up to eliminate the possibility of…read moresomeone being in my position. I called to schedule filler consult for my under eyes and the receptionist ( I wish I could remember her name) was such a sweetheart! They were able to get me in fairly quickly! The downside is Dr. Summer. She came in and already had selected the filler we were going to use. She did not discuss why she chose that filler or anything about it. In her defense, I should've asked. But I was trusting in her. We move onto the procedure and she used the canula technique to minimize bruising however she jabbed it into my under eye, she said it was difficult to get it in bc I had thicker tissue in that area - which is not the reason it hurt. My new doctor has done my under eyes twice, both pain free. I get faint around needles sometimes so I was starting to feel faint and hot and I let her and the assistant know. The assistant was a brunette woman who was very kind and patient. She got me an ice pack and reclined me. However, Dr. Summers rushed me to recover. I was still hot and faint when I gave her the OK to proceed since she seemed to be in a hurry. This experience was traumatic. I was on the verge of crying between feeling faint, nauseous, and rushed by Dr. Summers. After the visit I enjoyed my under eye look! No more tired right? Well yeah no more tired but what about the blue and yellow bruising that never went away? My new doctor informed me my bruising never went away bc my under eye area was over filled and I should've used a filler that was less dense. My new doctor is Dr. Dulce Mascariñas and she dissolved the filler placed by Dr. Summers and a month later refilled my eyes with half a syringe and then finished the remaining product another month later. Thanks to her I finally look refreshed. I do not think Dr. summers is a bad doctor. Maybe she was having a bad day, we all do. However the care I received is NOT one I ever desire to have again. Always ask your Dr why and what filler they are going to use. And do not let them push you to recover from fainting. I've had a few cosmetic procedures and have never experienced anything like this.
