1 Star - Two experiences, same problem: rudeness and overcharging I really wanted to give this place another chance, but after two separate bad experiences a year apart, I feel obligated to warn others. First experience (on my birthday last year): I called ahead asking for a gel pedicure and nails and clearly told them I had longer nails. I was told to come in right away. When I arrived, I noticed it was close to closing, but they told me to come. While I was finishing my pedicure, the owner began yelling at me, saying I should have come another day and should have been aware of the time--despite the phone call confirming I could come in. This was especially upsetting because it was my birthday, and I was recovering from a serious car accident. My father was treating me just to give me a little happiness during a hard time. The owner made me extremely uncomfortable the entire nail service. Another staff member actually told me to leave without paying for the pedicure because of how rude the owner was. I paid anyway, but I left feeling awful. Second experience (one year later): Against my better judgment, I returned earlier in the day with my mom and dad. All three of us got pedicures, and I asked--very clearly--if there was time for a gel acrylic fill. They said yes. My father prepaid for everything. Later, we realized he was charged around $180, which made no sense. When I called the salon to confirm pricing, I was told: * Gel pedicure: $50 * Gel acrylic fill: $55 * Gel add-on: $5 * Broken nail repair: possibly $5 extra That should have totaled around $105, not $180. When my father called to question the charge, they claimed it was because my nails were long and "took more time." That excuse doesn't hold up. The nail tech did not reshape my nails, rushed through the fill, and I even commented on how fast the service was. On top of that, I tipped $15. What makes this worse is that the woman on the phone originally said I should not have been charged that amount and didn't understand why I was--yet nothing was done. No refund. No accountability. Just excuses. To add insult to injury, the nail that was supposedly "repaired" started lifting the very next day, and I couldn't even go back to have it fixed. Bottom line: There are a few decent nail techs here, but it is not worth the risk. The customer service is terrible, pricing is inconsistent, and they make you feel like you're inconveniencing them--even when you're paying. Overcharging someone because you think you can get away with it is unacceptable. I will never return, and I strongly recommend going elsewhere read more

I would give zero stars if possible. Guy that did my pedi did a horrible job of filing toenails. I ask for Matching polish on toes and hands. Very different colors and when I pointed it out to him he said he didn't notice!!! When doing my dip nails he cut my finger, I pointed it out to him and he chose to ignore it. No antiseptic, nothing. I called all of this to the attention of Lisa (I think that's her name). She did refund my money for my nails and offered a free service next time, but there won't be a next time. I've been to a few of the Marco Island nail salons, but this may be my new favorite. They have a great location next to Sweet Annie's and Bealls Outlet, and the interior space is quite large. It's decorated in a very cute style, with plenty of pedicure and manicure stations that have plenty of breathing room between each seat. The prices are great...very competitive to the rest of the island. And their selection of polishes is HUGE! I'll definitely be back! read more

Very Overpriced, asked for a powder dip for my daughter and just a polish for my granddaughter. granddaughter's nails snugged twice, and daughter's powder dip was poorly done. Done in less than 30 min and they charged $92 before tip. read more

Update 4 hours after posting original post below: middle finger (with the wrinkle) completely split open down the center of the wrinkle. (Second and third photo) Clean location but nails did not last. Walked out of the salon with wrinkles in my nails. Owner knew bc she tried to remove the polish and repaint but when the wrinkle remained, she kept going as if it wasn't there. On one hand, 4 nails have a wrinkle in them. The thumb, as seen in photo, did not make it more than a couple days. Thumb nail broke the Sunday before hurricane Ian so not much I could do. But for $60, I was sure hoping for more...have recommended this place many times in past. Do not come here unless you want gel nails and tiny bubbles. All I wanted was a regular manicure and the individual performing my service nearly refused to give me a normal manicure, must have told me to do gel instead 10 different times and finally I refused for the 10th time because it dries out my nails to which he said it must be in my head. He also tried to convince me to get clear polish because "color will chip" and when I asked if they had the long lasting polish he said no, they don't have it on purpose because they want people to do gel. At long last I got my color on, and waiting 20 mins to dry, got to car and one was smudged, come back in and they told me to go try to find my color (amongst hundreds) because the man who did my nails was already busy. This was yet another opportunity to tell me I should have done gel. Finally got home and within hours there were tiny bubbles all over! I would not recommend this place. read more

My first time here. Didn't know this place had a hair salon inside, they need to advertise that more. The sign outside says modern nail and spa but on the window they have 1 sign that says HAIR. Would have never guessed. Anyways, I came in to get a haircut/trim and color. My hairstylist was Alex and he did a great job! I'm VERY picky with my hair especially with all the horrible times people have chopped it off or colored it wrong. I was nervous at first but I really needed a haircut and color. Alex is a cool guy gave me step by step on how my hair would be cut and colored. In the end it came out really good and very happy! He definitely got rid of the brassy color I had from the Florida sun. Worst nail place I've ever been to. The nail tech first tried to sell me on everything but what I wanted, then was annoyed when the color I wanted was being used by another client. She rushed through my dip manicure leaving bubbles and dents everywhere to which she blamed me for "dipping my finger in the powder too hard." She didn't push back my cuticles or do any of the normal manicure procedures. She rushed me out of there and turned off the station lights before letting me see them. I am left with half done nails, and dried glue powder caked under from fingertips because she didn't clean them when she was done. Another tech tried to fix them but it's not anywhere near the standard. Pretty sure they try to turn people over as fast as possible to bring in the tips before anyone notices the crappy job. I would give 0 stars if I could. Rude and unclean place My regular nail salon is closed on Sunday's so I thought I would give this place a try. First off, they put me in a far corner with an under experienced nail tech. One, she kept telling me that my nails are really thing because I don't take care of my nails (my whole life I've had very thin fragile nails) then when she started to file my bails I asked for her to not file so hard because it hurt and she ignored me, then I had asked her to please make my nails square and she said no, a curve on the sides are pretty so I said no thank you I would just prefer my nails to be squared. She gave me a weird look and and started to file. After she filed one hand I looked at my nails and noticed they were crooked so she grabbed my hand and applied acetone and told me to stick my hand in the black light dryer. She continued to do my nails. If she wasn't done painting my nail she would keep asking me to stick my hand in the light about 4 times until she was done. I had explained to her that my nails have been in there 4 times in a row and it's starting to burn and she said well they need to cook to look good and dry and I had explained that they are indeed dry and my nails Burned. On top of everything. My friend who was with me had asked for a fill and they ripped off all of her current acrylics and started all over again. And they kept selling her on it and she had said no thank you many times. For be price and for the nail technicians, I would not pay to come here at all They're not the cleanest ( I only say that because I noticed that they re use the water someone else was using) and they're very rude read more

I usually get designs on my nails. Nothing extravagant, mainly a heart or two on one finger. The person who started with me could not do a heart. The next person messed up and it looked so bad she had to change the design from two cute little hearts to one big one. Then I was charged $7. For the one big heart on one finger total. Crazy. I don't recommend them if you like to have a little art with your shellac. However it seemed their business for acrylic nails was booming. read more

I went back and told them about it and they said to come back and they would redo it. I did and it happened again. I would not go back. Their products are not good. read more
