We had no heat or hot water due to a neighborhood wide power surge and outage that fried the electronics on an on demand unit. Asked for a quote for replacement of an existing unit that is 9 years old and the quote for the recommended replacement part. Expressed to all we spoke to the urgency of the situation. Only replacement part quote came in- told that it may not work at $1000. No option but to try it given the situation. Apparently it is not possible to just give us a quote to replace a unit that was sized right and worked fine until a power surge blew it out for 9 years. The quote required the "comfort sales guy" organizing a visit with us, no date offered, told he wasn't available. No replacement quote a week later. Of course the recommended replacement part (over $1000) no guarantees and no return did not work. After that part failed the tech identified other issues with the unit that were clearly visible at the initial visit indicating the unit was already failing. Just got a very terse call from the owner saying it was us that were unreasonable in expecting a quick replacement quote. Just wow! Can't say more, as I have to prioritize getting heat and hot water into the house, still none 8 days later!

So, funny story...a few weeks ago I get my carpets professionally cleaned by ServiceMasters (they…read moredo the common areas in my condo building and give residents a good discount, so it makes sense). I also had them clean my shower floors' grout, which had never been done. They did a great job but informed me of a crack in the grout in one shower, causing potential for water leakage and water damage (NOT something to mess with when living in a highrise!). They do not repair or seal grout, but they strongly advised me to get this issue tended to ASAP. Of course I freaked out. A neighbor recommended COIT, saying they re-grouted both her showers prior to moving in and they did a fabulous job. She referred me to James. I left a message for him right away, and I was so impressed that he returned my call promptly. He came by a day or so later to inspect the shower and give me an estimate (I asked to add on my master shower too, to be proactive before the grout cracked there as well). He emailed me the quote and I called and booked the appointment right away. I got lucky that there was an opening (I think there had been a cancellation), and one of their senior techs, Melissa, came the following afternoon. And she was AWESOME. SUPER knowledgeable, super professional, so so nice. Like James, they know their stuff. She totally resealed all the grout in the problematic shower and then she did some aesthetic grout work on the master shower and ensure both were water-tight and good to go. The day after Melissa worked her magic, I got a phone call from James, just to follow up and see that I was happy with the job. Now THAT'S customer service for you! I couldn't be happier with the service from COIT, from the quick response to my initial call, to the prompt service in getting the actual job done, to the quality of the actual job, and to the follow-up customer service. Top notch all the way.

We had a very bloody incident with one of the bedroom rugs. It was too much for me to clean up…read moremyself. So, I decided to go with Coit to clean the area because I have heard so many good things about the company. All the staff I dealt with were very friendly and courteous. From the gentleman on the phone, to Don who came and inspected it and especially Melissa who did the work. I really didn't think all the blood would completely disappear, but in less than an hour, Melissa had done such a wonderful job that you wouldn't have guessed that there was once a huge bloody area there before. Everything was done so quickly and efficiently that I would highly recommend them.
