You are in one big room (like a nail salon) but curtains give you a little privacy from the person next to you. The lights are dim and there is peaceful music playing. Everyone is quiet, communicating in whispers if needed. They drape towels over you and give you a small towel to cover your eyes. The place is clean and service is efficient. Every time when it has been a situation of pay up front, and/or a sign in the room about total nudity not allowed or no sexual activity allowed, or 'certain body parts' not being allowed,,, it has always been a situation to where the place did not have a license, the so called therapist didn't have a license, and sexual activity was always offered for an additional expense. I was tired, and stressed,,, and just wanted a relaxing stress reliving massaage. Someone who would push down and work work out the tension in my muscles. A foot massage spa? Okay I would think that they would spend some time if not focus on the muscles in the calfs and foot. But she barely touched those areas. Other places I have gone to for an hour massage,, the massuese spends 30-40 minutes working on me from my shoulder blades and neck down to my feet and then asks me to turn over. And when doing so,, always holds a sheet of some sort to drape and offer some sort of privacy and modesty for when doing so. There was no draping involved at all when she asked me turn over. I was able to easily make an appointment, I arrived a little early and was greeted by a lady who spoke little English (I asked a question and she had to put it into Google translate, so she understood me and I appreciated her making the effort to respond). I checked in on an iPad where I also gave consent for services (would prefer this being sent when I made the appointment so I can read over it and not feel rushed). I was walked back to a room and was given a towel and told to take my top off and get on the table. She stepped out and while I was undressing I realized that the walls don't go all the way up and very thin (think of a changing shade in a dress shop) so I could hear everything that was taking place in the room next to me. I will say that my head was washed very well but once everything was done and I got dressed, I was lead over to a chair and shown how to use the blow dryer and she left. Once again, language barrier, so I sat there for a minute wondering what's next and then I realized, I'm suppose to dry my own hair. This was a little far for me so I can't say I'll be back soon however my hair was really really clean when I left.
