Within one minute of flipping through the book (i.e. not a thorough search), I found twelve instances of marginalia. There is also a prominently-sized name and date written in pen on the inside cover page. No marks indeed! I suspect lack of care in inspection rather than purposeful deceit. But either way, beware of false descriptions.

We asked if he could use theirs, and they said no. Rather than spending my money with them, I left my stack of books where they were and took my son to the restroom at Barnes & Noble, where I continued my book shopping. As for the bulk of used books I need, I can obtain them via Amazon and AbeBooks, and don't have to support a rude local business that is unhelpful and falls short of providing a quality experience. Why shop local when you can shop at the giants who care about their customers? I will never return.
