    So colorful

If you are looking for a variety of non alcoholic options, check out Modern World. I checked out Modern World after a dinner and was happily surprised to find a store that carried nonacholihic options that I've only heard of online or TV. A colorful array of nonalcoholic beers, spritzers, soda, teas, and more were arranged throughout the store. I was also happy to see spices, colorful cans of sardines and tuna, and totes. I had to stop myself from buying the entire store. Thankfuly, after asking a few questions, I was able to make my purchases with the promise to come back for another visit.

I finally broached this nonalcoholic spot opened up in the long-ago Hampden Junque store. New space, new face! My friend kept on about this, yet I'm a real-deal person. Nevertheless, seeing the staff of a neighbor and another person who works at one of my favorite pastry places nearby, inside, I stepped in daring them to sell me on this idear. To make it easy, I shared that I wanted something poplar, light and festive that even my alcohol-loving Easter dinner friends might like. Of the two pictured, I ventured for the spritzer for them and the nonalcoholic sparkling for my family dinner in the county. I can't wait!

Additionally, they sell limes and lemons at the register which if you've ever had a few friends over for drinks, you tend to prioritize the alcohol and forget the limes/lemons. It's always a duh moment for me but because they have them right at the register, it's easy to remember. What I think I like most about The Wine Source is how honest staff are about their thoughts on different wines. If they don't like it, they'll tell you and have enough knowledge to even recommend something based on your tastes. Lot parking can be a little scarce sometimes but that's really out of their control and usually street parking is easy to find in the area. In short, would highly recommend! My friend (who's the wine guy for sure) loves it here and says it's one of the best wine spots in Baltimore to him. P.S. They also sell some food in the shop which I haven't tried yet but I'm sure it's good!

It's a cool little shop with the best selection of wine and craft beer that no one has. I've been trying to find a place that doesn't care the same old selection with no rotations. This place has beers and breweries I've never heard of which is great for the fellow craft beer enthusiasts. They even have a growler/tasting bar! Eric behind the counter is a great guy with knowledge on beer. I'm still giving this place a 5 star review, even though I didn't get the 30% off from the 2 beers I picked off the rack. My fault for not remembering. Cheers!

I was welcomed upon entering and the worker behind the beer bar was very helpful. The store was well stocked up and I've never found it to be so crowded that it's hard to walk around. (Another plus is the local flowers from Local Color Flowers at the register. I've gotten them here in the summer and didn't realize they'd be available in December as well! Local flowers always last longer than big chain store flowers). I felt comfortable shopping at Pinehurst in regards to covid safety. All of the staff were wearing masks as were all of the customers that came in while I was there. Hand sanitizer is available by the entrance.

Washington Wine & Spirits has a small selection, but what they offer is carefully and intentionally curated - including some special and harder to find small-production wines! I found a Slovenian wine I wanted to try and a wine I had in New York earlier this year that I've been looking for but haven't been able to find other places (a natural/orange wine from the Italy/Slovenia border), and I wasn't even in the shop that long! (They also offer craft beer and artisanal spirits if that's what you're shopping for.) They also have a small bar where they offer different wines by the glass or flight each month (October's offerings including 2 whites, 1 orange, 1 rose, and 2 reds). They also offer wine tasting every Friday (4-7pm) and a rewards program (you earn points when you spend money in the shop). (They also do private wine tastings starting at $40/person, which I might do soon - how fun!) The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, too. Seriously, for a small shop, what a place! I can't wait to return. A gem of a wine shop.
