There's an option to paint or choose some sturdier pottery to do pour glazing on. They also do wheel throwing courses! For painting, we chose a mug and a small planter. The prices are listed on the bottom of each item and it comes with all the supplies, paint, and final firing. There is not table fee here like at other places. The staff is incredible. They remember you by name when you come in and are so helpful with picking out ideas, sharing techniques, and getting colors for you to use. If you don't finish your item the first time, you can come back and finish a 2nd time at no cost! ($10 if you come back after that on the same item.) We came just us the first time, and the 2nd time we came back with our son. It is a very different experience with kids vs adults, but either way is fun!

From explaining the different painting options to the different pieces to the pickup! We had a great time, and all of the pieces were bubble-wrapped, labeled, and had care instructions for pickup. I couldn't recommend Katie's Clay Studio enough for all ages. My mug was $29 before gratuity.

Kohl's is a national department store chain that sells clothing, shoes, accessories, housewares,…read morefurniture, pet supplies, electronics, toys, etcetera. Prices are moderate. I have visited this Kohl's multiple times in the past couple of years. Yesterday, I returned some Christmas gifts for store credit. The line for returns had zero customers in it, so I had no wait! The employee promptly and politely rang up my returned items and issued me cards for store credit. I then set out to spend that store credit... The store had a women's clothing department that had separate sections for women, plus-sized women, petite women, and maternity. I found eight shirts that cost only $4 to $13 each. I have not yet worn all of the shirts, but they appear to be a good quality. The checkout line had several customers ahead of me, but the two cashiers worked quickly so that my wait was a reasonable several minutes. My cashier was nice, and he reminded me to type in my phone number to earn Kohl's rewards and Kohl's Cash.

The box was delivered destroyed. The vacuum was falling out of the box. I dragged it in to a store to exchange it and received attitude from the customer service rep. Stupidly, I exchanged the vacuum for what they had only to get it home and it not to work. AGAIN, I dragged the heavy vacuum back to Kohl's. This time I visited the one on Route 8 in Gibsonia because their customer service is on the 1st floor. The customer service agent told me I could go pick another vacuum and they would give me the same percentage off. I go in search of ANOTHER vacuum and again the stock they had all looked pretty rough. Because I needed a vacuum, I picked one hoping it would be fine. I take it all the way back to customer service to exchange it only to be told by someone different that the percentage off that I had the 1st time would not honored. I explained I had just been told it would be honored. The woman rudely responded the gentleman who told me that was wrong and for me to come back the next day, which was a Sunday, because they were starting a new promotion. I explained that I worked 60 hours a week and dragging heavy vacuums all over God's creation was getting tiresome. (They don't fit in any Kohl carts) I went to the register and spoke to a blond headed manager who honored the coupon. So, I went back again to get the vacuum. I get it home and found it to be missing parts and full of dirt. Someone had bought it, used it, and returned it. I was so frustrated, I almost kept it. My husband made me take it back since I paid for a new, not used, vacuum. I AGAIN dragged this thing in to the Gibsonia store and explained what happened. The man at customer service told me to go get another vacuum. This time I spent almost an hour trying to decide what to get, checking boxes, etc. I drag it back to customer service only for the man to say they WOULD not honor the same promotion. Then an older lady appeared and said she was the manager. She and the man could not follow what I was telling them, continued to talk over me and interrupt me and were extremely ride. When the manager finally stopped rudely telling me off long enough for me to get a word in, she said the manager never gave me the promotional price on the used vacuum like I claimed she did, thus there was nothing for her to honor. It was right there on the receipt to prove it, but the blond manager blatantly lied saying she never took 30% off the vacuum that was used. Then the older manager said it didn't matter either way because she wasn't honoring it. I was so appalled and frustrated by their behavior and the entire charade of crap involving their selling of damaged and used merchandise, that I actually broke down and cried in front of a long line of customers. All of which were waiting to return garbage they also regrettably purchased from Kohl's. I tried to call customer service to complain, but the agent was not helpful. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was disconnected. People, if you are going to buy an expensive vacuum, DO NOT BUY IT FROM KOHL'S. They sell returned merchandise as new then lie and embarrass their customers to add to the insult. I will never, ever shop at Kohl's again. I told the old lady manager to keep the $70 in Kohl's cash I had. I don't need it. I'd rather eat dirt.
