Where to start?...I have really thin hair and wasn't sure what to do...I went to see Minh and all I can say is Perfection! I requested a simple bob and dimensional color and came out with a versatile cut that shapes my face so well!! I've been to other colorists but I must say Minh is the best! She has an instinct for flattering color and for making sure the process is gentle, as I have fine hair. Just so grateful to Minh for her kindness and patience and for this rocking bob!! I had gotten a cut here in January and I keep up with my cuts every three months I decided to try this place in January I liked the haircut but my hair was thinning after this cut. I went again in April and I noticed after she was done that she used thinning shears which is okay but I went to dye it after somewhere else and you can see how bad the cut was let me show you. Nothing special and not even great service. Extremely long wait times. What's funnier, checkout the reviews.... Even if you have something post that the owner doesn't agree, she'll try to blast your comment out stating that it's your fault or you lying. I'm assuming all the positive reviews is all the fake reviews. Update: Yes, giving you a bad review will either change how you do business. Apparently you don't look at the analytics from Yelp, since most of your bad reviews are from these couple of months/this year. I should have looked at the recent reviews as they are terrible... Showed up for our 6PM appointment for our kids haircut before he starts school. Showed up at 5:55 and owner asked if we had a appointment and we said yes at 6PM. We watched as the owner finished up a girls haircut thinking my son would be next. There was this other lady doing a men's haircut. The owner started cleaning and we thought we would be next. So we were waiting and waiting and waiting. It was now 6:25 and nobody said a word to us so we told them we were leaving. The owner said oh sorry she is behind. Meaning we were going to wait for the lady still doing a haircut at 6:25 while the owner was cleaning up and making phone calls... very bad customer service to not just tell us they are running behind. read more

I went in today for a haircut (a trim, as I repeatedly said) with Danielle. It was my first time here. The staff was nice and the salon looked great. I repeated at least 15 times that I wanted to keep my length and that I just wanted a trim. Danielle kept reassuring me that she was only cutting off a little. I get home, blow dry my hair and half my hair is gone. In the picture I am attaching, my finger shows how long my hair was this morning & then you see how short it was after my cut. Just last month I paid over $200 at an Aveda Salon to get my balayage done and Danielle cut most of my balayage off. This is absolutely ridiculous! read more

I picked this salon because of their COVID compliant policy's. They are currently taking appointments only, you must wait in your car. When you enter your temperature is checked, you're asked to wash your hands and given a throw away cape. Minh did a great job on my color and I was very impressed with the shop and my hair when it was all said and done. I was able to get an appointment very quickly as well. read more

I got there around 630 and there were two people ahead of me, Minh was kind enough to take me in as the last client. Not only was she professional but also SO easy to converse with. I wanted my warm Mom&Pop experience back. I was quite pleased with the fast and favorable results I got with mighty lil' Modesto Cuts at the strip mall corner of Prescott and Rumble Roads. I went here today to get a color correction from the owner Minh. I had a lot of growth and tried to dye my own hair at home and it came out pretty uneven and brassy. Minh quoted me for 3-4 hours of color correction and got to work (her quote was completely accurate and she finished in 3.5 hours). She is extremely precise with her color skill. Won't come back to this place . I'm so disappointed because I was really looking forward to finding a new hair cut place for me & my son. So I go in, there's 2 people cutting hair . One of the ladies started cleaning up her stuff so I'm thinking oh she's really cleaning her area to cut my hair next . No. She was packing her stuff to go and leaving the other lady to finish 3 other customers by herself. I have already waited 30 minutes. So I asked her hey are you gonna cut my hair , she said no. She's leaving ! So she wasn't going to tell me anything, she was just gonna have me sit there and wait till after they close with other customers ! I waited 30 minutes before asking her if she's gonna cut my hair! Either way the other lady who WAS cutting hair was not even cleaning her clippers/ scissors before the next customer so I guess it worked out anyways because I wouldn't want my hair cut with un sanitized clippers. Thanks for wasting my time and being unprofessional. You could have told me hey I'm going home for the day, I'm not sure if you want to wait or come back another day. I walked in and was seated in a chair in about 5 minutes. Donna was my stylist and listened to my request of a 1/4 inch trim on dry hair, since my hair is wavy/ curly it shrinks up more when it's cut wet. Anyways, she was direct, focused, double-even triple-checked her work and took about 15 minutes total. I won't be going back to a fancy stylist anytime soon, I saved a lot of money! I had my hair colored there. the gal didn't wipe off the excess dye on both sides of my face because she thought it would ruin my makeup. Instead, she wiped on more hair color on both sides of my face, stating it would be easier to come off. I was horrified when I looked at the mirror inside my vehicle. Needless to say, I was late to another appointment, as I had to drive back home, scrub the dye off my face, and re-apply makeup. read more

Y'all need to come here! I've only gotten haircuts for myself and my Boys, but these ladies at Modesto Cuts are THE BEST!!! They listen to exactly what you want, or make suggestions as to what would work/look better. They don't just cut your hair with whatever they feel like doing which I feel most people do. They cut your hair in stages too and let you check progress to make sure you're happy with what they're doing. My hair is almost to my waist and I get layers and they take off exactly how much I want to a T and they're layering and fading skills are on point! I never leave this long of a review, but as a Mama of 4 boys I've walked out of shops who charge twice as much so disappointed by the crappy haircuts my Son's have gotten. They keep prompt on appointments and you never have to wait long as a walk-in too. Long story short...build up local small business and go straight to these ladies!
