Would give 0 stars if I could. I've had two appointments and they have cancelled on me same day both times just a few hours before appointment. They then schedule you months out and do not care that your child needs to be seen , clearly why you have an appointment. I have been coming here since I was pregnant with my oldest son, who will be 12 in January!! I now take my youngest. We have seen every NP, MA and doctor here. Our primary is Dr. T. The front office and back office staff has always been so kind and amazing and they go above and beyond. My oldest son had Down syndrome and every time we see Dr. Truscello, she listens, takes her time and explains every thing to me. We talk about different options and she, as well as the other doctors, do anything and everything they can for him and my youngest. I have always, and always will refer Modesto pediatrics! Worst healthcare experience I've ever had My husband and I have over 20 years combined healthcare experience and have never met a more unprofessional staff member. Our visit with Dr Lenser was fine, she had great bedside manner and we trusted her to follow her advice. The following day we dealt with Christine from the front desk. She was a poor communicator between the doctor and my husband and I. She insinuated that I had lied about following the Drs advice and that my husband and I do not care about treating our newborn because I asked for clarification on a recommendation. We followed every piece of advice we received from the doctor. In the end we took our son to the hospital like they suggested and we were told that our newborn did not require a hospital admission based on his condition by an ER doctor and pediatric hospitalist. Upon follow up and conveying we'd be taking our newborn and other son to a different pediatrician because of the front desk poor communication skills we were told by Christine we were a terrible family and that's she's never met a worse family in 30 years she's been working. Previous to this encounter we've heard multiple other stories about Christine's poor communication skills from other families that have brought their child to Modesto Pediatrics. As a mother of two and someone with 5 years of hospital patient care experience and ER secretary experience and I have never come across a more unprofessional and rude staff member. Having a newborn is such a vulnerable stage and to be treated so poorly was very disheartening. read more

I just started taking my four-week-old daughter to Dr. Truscello at Modesto Pediatrics, and I've been very pleased with her practice. You can get appointments on short notice, the office is clean and inviting, and the staff operates relatively efficiently. We recently went in because I was afraid my baby had some disorder I had read about online, and instead of making me feel like a dumb first-time mom who spends too much time on Google, Dr. Truscello took me seriously. She seemed to trust my intuition as a mother. Turns out I wasn't crazy and we got referred to a specialist. She was also reassuring about another problem I noted in my baby without being dismissive. I like her overall manner better than Dr. Hernandez down the street. She is gentle, respectful, and knowledgeable. I can't imagine how many patients she sees a day, but in the time she's with you, you can tell you have her full attention. She listens well and is thorough in her work. Worst experience with a pediatricians office. They have one general wait room, where infants for well checks and older children with the flu are all in one small area. After 30 minutes past our scheduled appointment they call us back. The way they take vitals in the walk way might as well be guesses, never had such unreliable measurements. After waiting another 10 minutes in the exam room, I walked out and ask when we will be seen. Was told "we are doing our best." Another 10 minutes the doctor walks in. It was such a superficial exam, she was gone with 5 minutes. It was a horrible experience for us. They treated us like a huge inconvenience and could not be bothered by basic civility. We have been going to Dr. Lenser, and her sister the Dentist next door for 5 years. My 5 year old and 18 month old like going to see both. Never had issues with either one of them. The staff are amazing and always helpful. Sometimes it takes awhile for calls backs sometimes it doesn't. They are a busy office, I understand. Sometimes I disagree with what Dr. Lenser says to do with my child, and thats fine. Everyone has their opinions, I'll take them with a grain of salt. read more

Worst office to have as a child's primary care. They don't greet you with a smile. Every time I've called for an appt (which is not often, but when she's sick she needs to get in), there's at least a 2-3 day wait for an appointment. When I called to ask if they can check if insurance was active, the girl told me "we will call you if it's not inactive". I get to the appointment and Maria begins to tell me that it's not. I specifically asked them to check so I knew if I needed to get current card info from my child's father as it's through him. She then tells me it's not their job, it's the patients responsibility. As an office manager for a medical office, I know you don't ever tell patients that. read more

I set my son an appointment there. When scheduling the appointment the lady on the phone told me i could show up 15 mins early to do paperwork. I showed up 30 mins early. The line itself took up to 30 mins. Once it was my turn in line I asked if i could do the paperwork on paper and I explained my cell phone runs slow its broken. The lady told me no they won't allow me to fill it out on paper i had to do it through phone. There was no other alternatives. I went to fill out the paperwork on my phone. My appointment was set for 11:00 i was still doing paperwork by 11:15. The lady called me to the desk and said bc i had not finished my paperwork that I needed to leave. I explained I needed to see a doctor asap bc my baby was having trouble going to the bathroom & he was currently screaming his head off. He's only 1. The receptionist responded with "oh, we dont do that here. U need to take him to an urgent care or something". I would never recommend this place to anyone. Complete waste of my time. read more

I want to start off by saying the nurse that took us in and my son's actual doctor were wonderful. The receptionist (front desk), however, was as rude as can be. You would think that if you work at a pediatric office you would be a bit more helpful and personable since you deal with a lot of busy moms and children. Man oh man this lady should go find her self somewhere else to work because she seems really unhappy there. It was my first time at Modesto Pediatrics and I don't think I'll be returning. I'd rather go through the headache of looking for another pediatrics office than come back to experience that unwelcoming welcome every time I bring my son back. read more

I have taken all my children to Modesto Pediatrics since birth, I will never consider taking my children elsewhere. Dr. Lenser is their primary physician we have been with her for sixteen years. Thru all sixteen years we have always receive great and prompt service. Dr. Lenser saved my son's life when he was 4 months old we took him to the ER around ten at night on a weekend end, Long story short the ER DR said That my son was fine just to take him home, we called Dr. Lenser and she came to the ER and she transferred my son to Children's Hospital by ambulance later than night he was having surgery to repair his tummy. From the awesome atmosphere right when you walk in, to the accommodating and super helpful staff, to the amazing Dr. Lenser I can't say enough great things about this place! I have been seeing Dr. Lenser since I was young and now I take my daughter there and she is so thoughtful, helpful and sweet!!! Couldn't ask for a better Dr! Overall we have had good experiences. However today was not one of those days. My two year old daughter was sick and I called the office this morning to see if I could get my daughter in. I understood it was short notice but I was promised a return call from the nurse. After not hearing back from the nurse I called again around two. I said I had called in the morning and had not received a return call. Lady who answered phone said they were understaffed and swamped. She didn't ask my name or my daughters name. I said ok what time does your office close today. She said they don't leave until everything is taken of. I said ok and we hung up. By 5:00pm my daughters symptoms worsened and we ended up taking her to urgent care. It's 8 pm and I never received a call back. I work at the front desk of a very busy office as well. If they were that swamped and they knew they couldn't get her in or that the nurse was not going to be able to call me they should have told me that morning with my first phone call. Instead of me waiting for their return call_ all the while my daughter getting worse. I'm updating my review because the office manager called me this morning (Monday) to check up on my daughter and she apologized for me not receiving a return call. She was very apologetic and kind. I was going to change my daughters doctor to another office but because of the phone call this morning I am keeping her at Modesto pediatrics. I hope they address the issues of Friday with whom ever I had the displeasure of talking to. read more

They are no help, i wanted too get my son circumcised and they put me off for three weeks finally told me they didn't have an available appointment. Come too find out they just didn't want too do the circumcision. Now my son has too go through more pain because they wouldn't do it. He is now almost a month old. Also the front desk girl is very rude and needs too learn better customer service skills. Bad attitude, i used too love this place until Kathy left. Dr. Truscello office. Our boys have been seeing Dr. Lenser for 18 years and they have been absolutely fabulous! Throughout the years I've scheduled appointments three months out for well visits and same day when they were sick. They always accommodate as best they can. Even when they are crazy busy! The girls in the front office are very kind and thoughtful as well as the girls in the back! I've recommended friends and family and they have all had good experiences! Been here for 10 yrs. 2 kids. Staff tends to act stuck up and annoyed when you talk to them in person and on the phone. I feel rushed. Dr T just seems to be going thru the motions and is somewhat grumpy. The only ones that seem sweet are billing and office manager. I am a regular Stanford patient and I am NEVER treated with disrespect and they always are friendly, caring and patient. These offices need to go visit Stanford to lead by example! Took my daughter here for her 12 month checkup with Dr Trucello. Appointment went fine although The Dr seemed a bit in a rush and wasn't too friendly with us. After the appointment the Dr told to schedule another appt for her 18 month old checkup which we did. Now fast forward to the week of her 18 month appointment...I had called to reschedule but ended up canceling because they told me they had no appointments with Dr Trucello I also asked if she could be scheduled with the other Dr there and the receptionist said no and that it could only be with Dr Trucello. So I took my daughter to another pediatrician and there I find out she wasn't up to date with her vaccines. I was told she was suppose to been seen at 15 months old. I don't understand why Dr Trucello didn't say to return at 15 months old. read more
