overrated but not bad. Im def. a tough critic when it comes to Thai food so I'll go with 3.5 stars. Great service & they actually listen when you say EXTRA SPICY. Popped in while on a short trip to Prague after a friend of a friend highly recommended this spot. She specifically said the menu on the "sit down" side of the restaurant was better... so this review is based solely on that 1 experience. I had the Tom Yum Extra Spicy (& spicy it was) with a chicken noodle dish, which I unfortunately can't remember the name of... but it was not very memorable. Tasted like a mall foodcourt dish. Bottom line I would say, stop by if you are in the area looking for food but definitely don't plan your day around heading to this restaurant while in Praha.

Hands down best Thai in Prague. Look no more authentic Thai lovers. You have found the place. Imagine a place where you could go in, speak no czech, point at a dish without seeing the picture, and everytime will be a huge, delicious plate for under 200czk ($10 USD) and you will love it. Pictured it? Well it has come to life with Modry zub. Everytime I go here I get a new dish and I am never disappointed. Only downfall here is sometimes the service staff does not speak english, so bring a czech friend or a czech dictionary if you need to. Otherwise the atmosphere is very intimate, 2 floors, pretty quiet and comfortable. Very relaxed environment overall and excellent food. Have been here a few times and will be returning for sure.

I love everything about this place. Except a few things: The drinks aren't too special. Sure, Singha&Chang, but nothing really out of the ordinary. Also: The place just doesn't have the nicest vibe. It's too fancy and that somehow distracts me from the authentic Thai food. Plus: The prices are a tiny bit high I'd say. Sure, you pay for the location, too, but still. It would be great if they had a low-budget-pad-thai-2-go kind of option as well. On the Plus side: Haven't had a bad meal there, ever. Currys, noodle-dishes, everything was top notch, every time!

Ugh what a disappointment. I stumbled upon this noodle bar as I was looking for something else on the street. The place looks very classy from outside so I made an extra trip just to try it out and was extremely disappointed. First of all, what I didn't realize is the nice classy seating area is something else from the main Modry zub noodle bar? When I walked in I noticed that the nice seating area was to the right (maybe this is just for if you have more time to eat or something), but I ended up eating in this very little dingy area in the back. It was more resemblant of a very grim canteen area. It was nice that the food came quickly--I ordered a Nan di but it wasn't very appetizing to me. Huge portions but the flavor was very off and it seemed like a confusion of Chinese/Vietnamese food. I was way too excited to see that there were egg noodles, but was disappointed. I think some of the other food options might be better if you like Thai and Vietnamese, but I probably won't be coming back.

Late Night Nudle Porn Reading all the reviews I wonder how come I had bad experience here? Shrimp nudles was 245,- CZK so I expected them extraordinery. But they were just below average (not sure though if this was because of a late night visit). Meal: There were 4 tiny shrimps, almost raw slides of onion and a heap of wishy-washy plein wheat nudles on my plate. Big surprise: they claim to be the nuddle bar but they don't serve any special diet nudles... Anyway my friend was quite satisfied so a fair 2.5 stars.

Best pho ever had in Prague! Especially the cinnamon added in the soup. Very tasty! But the Kai Mao is not good as the pho, my friend only half of them.

The ambiance of this place was nice. The service was a bit slow. After we got our food, the waitress didn't come by to see if everything was correct that we ordered. She came by maybe 15-20 minutes later when she noticed I wasn't really into my food. I had the pad Thai w/ tofu, which wasn't bad and a bit bland. At first they brought pad Thai with chicken when I clearly specified with tofu. The other waiter that was working was in rotation and pretty much brought our checks after we asked. It was a bit busy, but this one time is enough for me.

Food super delicious! Really generous portions! You could share a main between two if you wanted. I would definitely recommend if your looking for good Thai food in Prague!

I got Thai food only once in my life, till I turned into a regular customer. Wherever it was, dlouha or jindriska. Love every single one of these restaurants, good service, lovely food at honest prices. The attached one is the last noodles dish I had at the restaurant in Narodni. Well done guys

We purposely went out of our way to find this pho place given its high overall ratings. They have a limited menu of Pho (only chicken and beef) a total of 3 soups to pick from. They also had plates & apps. Overall the pho was ok! The broth can be a little weak but the meat and noodles were fine. They also added the bean sprouts and onions into the mix for you so it really only comes with a side of lemon and garlic. In order to get a table, diners need to order and pay with the cashier. Started off with the spring roll and it was tasty. The filing had plenty of pork and the wrapper was light. It was a bummer that the spring roll didn't come with any vegetables. Moved on to Pho #2 which was a pho with beef cooked to a "medium rare." Pho is Europe doesn't seem to come with tripe, tendons, and/or meatballs. I think the beef was medium rare when it came out of the kitchen as it was closer to medium well and well done by the time it was on my table. The broth was decent and I wasn't sure why the broth came with a side of raw garlic and lemon.

Four of us have had great Vietnamese meals in Paris, Berlin and California. Two of us travelled extensively in Vietnam, one worked in Vietnam. It was a Saturday night, nice crowd, tasteful restaurant. Food and service were overall disappointing. Tom Yum soup, which is actually Thai, had no chicken or vegetables. The Goi Coun (soft rolls or summer rolls), lacked any herbs or greens for which are key, just noodles and meat. Served with nuc mam, no peanut sauce or spice. Very bland. Then we waited an hour for the next courses and had to remind the waitress that others arrived after us, were served and finished. The final dishes came which were good or very good. Lemongrass grilled pork and cucumber salad - okay but better in Paris. Banana leaf duck, very good. Caramelized catfish (basa) very good but had better in California. Even though the restaurant was emptying out, we could not get refills on drinks. 3 of us are African American, one white. Seemed that the black folks were ignored. I had to think that's the reason for the poor service. After complaining, and we rarely complain, they did offer a 10% discount. It was so disappointing since this was something we were looking forward to. We've had great service in other Prague restaurants.

This place is a total sleeper. If you go here expecting to be met with what most people know to be…read morepho, you are going to have to expand your expectant palate a bit. In my eating experience, southern Vietnamese style pho is much more prevalent to western markets and, at least from the US perspective, is what most people are familiar with when they think of pho. I have read that in the north of Vietnam (such as in Hanoi), the style of pho is different. Not necessarily better or worse, just different. This place definitely uses a northern style recipe and I was not prepared for it to be as good as it was. It blew me away in several ways. First, the broth seems to have a lighter style to it than pho from the Ho Chi Minh City area in the south. Not in taste but in mouthfeel. Given that, it also doesn't leave you with that greasy tongue sensation either which was a plus. All of the beefy taste was there and there was even a hit of ginger coming through after the star anise which really made it interesting. I've actually never tasted broth like it (I have never had northern style pho before) and in some ways, I almost prefer this. Second, the herbs are chopped up and already added as a finish during assembly. They do not bring you a large plate of leaves, sprouts, etc. However, what they did bring more than made up for my initial disappointment. A small condiment dish of chopped hot chilis, a lemon wedge, and best of all, a container of sliced raw garlic swimming in vinegar. That condiment alone was an amazing hit to an already great bowl of noodles. I actually could not stop eating it and must have ingested at least half the container on my own. I feel kind of bad because I alone probably ate about 30 minutes worth of garlic slicing and now nobody wants to stand next to me in the elevator but that's ok, it makes me feel like a rock star that I get my own personal elevator car even if it is only because of a toxic cloud of garlic off-gassing out of my pores. Third, the service was great. This seems to be a little family run joint. A nice woman was manning the front of the house and her son was at one of the tables entertaining himself. I am sure that there is a hard working family member running the kitchen too and they managed to serve a fairly full dining room with courtesy, speed, and accuracy. I am sure that running this kind of small family business is never-ending, back-breaking work so to do it with a good attitude really shows the effort being put in on their part. There is nothing to dislike about that. Finally, it was affordable. Very affordable. I had 2 shrimp fresh summer rolls, a bowl of sliced rare beef pho, and a mug of beef all for 239 Czech Crowns ($10.18 USD). I also got to use the secure wifi they have available during my meal (ask and they will put the PW in for you). All of that is a bona fide steal in my opinion. For an ethnic eatery in the middle of Prague, this one really bangs out the good stuff.
