I wanted to write to the owners and make suggestions but there is no email contact information on their website. I have been going to this carwash for over 20 years, and before covid shutdowns it was widely known as the best in south jersey. Since reopening after the covid shutdown, with a completely different operating structure, not so much. First, the price has literally doubled. The price you pay for an exterior wash only is what you used to pay for full service, where they cleaned and vacuumed the interior. Now you stay in the vehicle and ride through, that's it. They used to vacuum, clean the glass, and wipe everything down, including door and trunk jambs. They would even put a little extra elbow grease into removing spattered bugs that didn't come off in the wash. I used to joke about how several people attacked your car at the other end and cleaned it. Always going the extra mile is what made them famous, and your car looked great when they were done. Now they give it a quick dry at the other end, and not a very good one. This past time they missed the windshield, so I had to put the wipers on as I drove out. You can use their vacuums and do that yourself, if you like. There are plenty of do it yourself places around, that's not why I always went there. If you do want those other things I talked about, just hit the full-service button when selecting your wash, and it will more than double your cost. My second issue is the overall quality of the wash. If that was good, I could learn to live with the rest and just go home and do the inside myself, but it's not. The car does not get completely clean. Wheels, top of rear bumper, around decklid, are some of the places I notice are still dirty after going through. One thing that really annoys me is not rinsing the soap off properly. This happens for a couple of reasons. The rinsing nozzles and the dryers that blow the car off are too close together, so the blower starts blowing water and soap off before allowing the water to rinse off completely. On top of that, not all the rinsing nozzles work. Some of them appear clogged, so no water comes out. You wind up with lines of soap still on the car that don't rinse off, then the blower blows more soap all over. Every time I leave there, I drive home watching soap blowing out of my mirrors down the side of the car. When I get home there are dried purple soap streaks down my doors and down the back bumper from soap running out of the trunk lid. I either have to rinse it down again myself or pray for rain to rinse the car off. Finally, I'm not sure what brand of tire shine they are using, but I watch them put it on every time, but when I get home my tires look dry. So, I wind up putting my own on. It's a shame, I used to love this place.

But to start off, my car was bought years ago as a used car, so the small nooks and crannies already had some dust and stuff collected. I also have 3 small kiddos, so the car has become their trash can. We probably need a full detailing of the car, but I took it for the royal flush since I was in the area. Now, there was a line, but probably because it was the first sunny day after multiple long weeks of rain. So I expected a little wait. Still was not as long as I thought it would be. Seeing the first 2 guys vacuuming the cars before the wash, I saw how quick and efficient they were. They washed and sprayed the mats and all! When it was my car's turn, I asked them to vacuum under the car seats, which have so much junk under them. They told me it was no problem and I saw them really try to get everything in, over, under, through it all! Saw my car on the other end, and there were 3 people waiting to finish the job. My tires have never been so clean and the car was so shiny. I didn't expect my car to look and even smell so fresh (even without a freshener)! I thought it would take multiple washes to get it the way it looked after just 1! This car wash is 20 minutes away from me and there are other cheaper places, but I personally believe having actual people touch your car for a wash, gets the job done better. The cheaper washes certainly wash cars, but my car has never been this clean and shiny! For me, it's worth the slight inconvenience because my car was pretty well taken care of. I put in my credit card, did a basic wash and rinse which took me all of three minutes. In order to shut down the wash when you're done, you press a green button, which will tell you how much you paid for the wash. I spent three minutes pressing that button to get it to stop. It would not shut down until it reached 6 minutes. Then it displayed the charge -- $6.00! I paid $3.00 for a wash and another $3 trying to shut the machine off. This is a rip-off! If you ever use this place, use cash. As for me, I'll never go there again.

Today was the first time I used the automatic car wash. I believe this is new. It has a machine where you pay for the car wash with cash (exact change only) or debit/credit card. So don't feed it a $20 and expect change. I thought it was really cool that there is a board that tells you when to stop and when to go. As you are driving out the power dryer blows on your car directly from the top. While it did not completely dry the car I was overall satisfied with the car wash. It removed some stuck on mess that i was not sure would come off with one car wash. This is a completely self service car wash so bring some quarters because I have stopped by various times and the change making machine is not in working order. I like that the vending machine sells pre-moistened wipes for the interior and glass. They also sell small spray products and towels. I always purchase a car freshener and have never been dissappointed by the selection. I like to use my lunch breaks to run errands so spending a good 45 minutes cleaning the interior of my car during lunch means I have 45 more minutes to spend on the weekend doing something I really want to do. Therefore, I really appreciate this business and it's close proximity to my job. Also, keep in mind I only visit mid day during weekdays and it is almost always empty or I see one other person there. I cannot imagine what the line looks like on Saturday morning.

I feel like a lot of automotive service centers whether it be for sales, repair, tinting, or detailing get a bad reputation for how they interact with women. Unfortunately, this tends to hold true for a lot of places but not at Flash Mobile Detailing. She told me about how great the customer service was and I was personally impressed by how soon they were able to get her into the schedule. My mother's Mercedes has always been kept in good condition, but over the years her headlights started to accumulate severe oxidation and hazing on the exterior. Out of the box solutions I applied either worked temporarily or not at all. I heard about the quality of work that Flash did from other friends in the car scene and honestly this was our last resort. If after this appointment, there was little or marginal improvement, I was just going to look into how much two new ML350 headlight assemblies would cost. This is obviously something I'd rather not expense, but visibility and headlight performance were so poor at night I felt as though it was a hazard for my mother and others on the road. You can't drive safely if you can't see where you're going or if others can't see you! My mother dropped her car off and waited while the team worked. She said they worked quickly, but paid attention to detail and made sure the job was done correctly the first time. All of the oxidation and haziness was removed and every time she drives at night, I get a text about how much of a difference the detail made. I literally got a text tonight out of the blue from her, "Lights are a blessing!"
