Bartender rude as all get out! I used to like this place,I will never go back. I ordered a super bowl of chili, with grilled cheese, and she brought out the biggest bowl I have EVER seen,then proceeds to tell me that's an appetizer portion, I asked if my other food been made , she said yup! Completely, unreal. There was enough chili left to feed an army! I was very upset, then she charges me for 2 sides which my chili was supposed to come with sour cream, had to ask for that even. Terrible customer service,nothing like I encountered before back in 2012. $35.12, cause.i bought my friend lunch and 2 drinks and I had 1 insane! This place needs a remodel on venue and food. It used to be a favorite but run down, air conditioning broken for weeks and food quality is so-so. Not sure we will go back unless there are some updates. read more

The bar is enormous and wraps around so every gentleman there can get a look-see at MY "bar menu" (if you know what I'm sayin'), there's a mess of stuff thrown all over the walls which helps keep any errant kids eyes off my game, and it's so dark I can almost get away with no nylons. Foodwise, yes, it's bar fare. But pretty ok bar fare. The pizza is great. Piping hot. The burger was juicy. I'm not sure it was real Swiss on there as advertised...but I wasn't going to ask. The Philly steak could use some moisture - it was drier than a popcorn fart. But the chili was superb - meaty, rich and spicy enough. If you want to disappear at 10am and pretend it's 2 am, Harrigans Tavern will get the job done. read more

I like Harrigan's. It's your typical tavern. I used to go there when I was little all the time and loved it. Very easy going crowd, I've always had good service and love their trivia nights on Monday. Has TVs to watch sports, and a patio with tables to smoke. read more

Ordered French Onion Soup to go. There was no bread/crouton and melted cheese on top. I called and was told they don't do that there. I have never had French Onion soup anywhere in the country that did not serve it this way. The broth tasted good but half the reason French Onion soup is order is for the cheese! Spent $5 on broth and had to add bread/cheese at home. Also, the cooks there need to know that spinach artichoke dip does not have cheddar cheese. I love the wait staff there but it seems that the food is suffering lately. Sorry...and add Smithwicks on tap. It's almost as popular as Guinness. read more

This is an older eating establishment and it shows. Sticky doors, table tops, floors, salt and pepper shakers. My food was ok but the potato salad was barely chilled. Sorry to see that it has been neglected. read more

Mostly typical bar food. Good to excellent chili. Stay away from the pork tenderloin sandwich. Decent prices. Not much Irish about the menu.

Always have a great time playing darts and having cheap drinks. Good food and even better prices!

Went today for lunch -- I ordered the meatloaf sliders--with BBQ sauce on the sid. The meatloaf sliders (2) were great about an inch or more with an onion ring on top . The BBQ sauce was sweet and was great with the 2 spiders -'I was wishing that the sandwich was a full size one instead with a side of onion rings instead of chips - great!! read more

Don't expect an Irish pub. The staff decides the music, and totally ignores the demographic of the customers., If you like loud ghetto music when you are not melanin enhanced, and maybe 22, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, forget it. read more

I'm piggy-backing on the review by Jan E. as I was a member of her group of 4 celebrating a birthday. I had the no-teriyaki teriyaki sandwich. Menu says it comes on white or wheat bread but it actually comes on a hamburger bun. Asked for chips, got fries, so she brought a whole new basket of chips. Had to ask twice for the lettuce and tomato. Ordered a Corona Lite off their beer menu, but server came back saying they don't carry it. The fourth member of our group ordered the "gourmet" grilled cheese with 3 types of cheese...the sandwich was very small and only had one type of cheese. So like Jan E., I won't be returning. Which is sad because I remember how good it used to be. And one more thing...there were only 2 other parties eating and this was at lunchtime (12:30) so it can't be blamed on being slammed! read more

My wife and I were hosting one of her friends from out of town. We decided to go to Harrigan's because of the good location and the decent menu. It was pretty busy because it was a Friday night. There were no seats at the tables or the bar and there is absolutely no system or organization to be seated. The very small entryway - with no seating, mind you - was crammed full of confused groups of people. The bartender kept shouting that it was first come, first served. This made it more or less a free-for-all. The "system" depends on the decency of others in order to make it work. My wife was about five months pregnant at this point, so it was difficult for her to stand and wait, but we knew going somewhere else would take even longer, so we decided to wait it out. We saw a booth opening up on one side of the restaurant. It was our turn and I started to walk toward it to claim it, but before I even reached the table, the OWNER whisked his friend and his party into the booth! I had heard this man whispering to the owner when they walked in and I had found it odd that the owner escorted him to a spot between the bar and this section of the restaurant, but it all made sense once I realized what had happened. The owner's friends had come in and asked him if they could skip the wait and the owner took it upon himself to sneak them past the other customers. I confronted the owner at this point. Initially he told me he hadn't realized that we had been there first. I asked him why he hadn't asked the crowd who was next and why he had been whispering with this man and then stationed him near the people who were leaving. He said he was in Optimist Club with the guy and that they were friends. He stopped making excuses and stopped pretending like it was an accident. Instead, he apologized, assured me the next open table was ours and offered to buy me and my wife a beer. I told him my wife was pregnant. She could not drink anything from the bar and had been forced to stand long enough. We left. As we were backing out of our parking spot, the owner came running out and tapped on the window. He said another table had opened up and that we could have it. My wife said if this was how he ran his business and treated his customers, we would not be patronizing him now or ever again. The food at Harrigan's is not bad, but the lack of service and total lack of decency and respect from the highest level do not deserve anyone's patronage. read more

I agree with the first review. The service at Harrigan's is ALWAYS shaky. They seem to get a pass from the locals, but I refuse to go here anymore. The food is nothing to write home about either.....typical mediocre bar food. Bad food and bad service, not a good combo. read more

live music on Wednesday nights, good selection of seasonal beer, food it good enough for bar food, I recommend the beef philly sandwich with their onion rings, the pizza is pretty good too. Not too expensive and a good atmosphere. The wall decor will give you a lot to talk about during your visit. read more

Our last flag football league game was over and we booked the "party room" on the left side of the tavern. The first thing we noticed was the angry glares of the Sunday Browns/Bengals backers as we went unattended into our poorly lit cave. One of the 4 flat screens were on and one of us fired up the rest of them while his wife went and asked for water pitchers and glasses (plastic) to pour for our group. After 30 minutes without any contact I went to the bar to place a lunch order where I waited for my dis-interested bartender to ask me what I wanted; I told him I wanted to place a order and he pointed to our waitress who was just apparently getting in. She politely took my order of 1 cheese pizza and I thought things might be on the up-swing. I sat back down and finished the now warm water I had in my glass as she and a brain dead young man shuffled through our group and took the remaining orders. One by one the next hour food limped from the kitchen with no contact from server or young zombie, and when I questioned her she shrugged and said "they're working on it". I did hear of the mistakes on the other tables but everyone ate what the received out of hunger and the fear of having to wait longer for corrections. When our pizza finally arrived (overcooked of course) the zombie dropped it and ran without a word of apology and no one visited our table for re-fills or to drop off a bill. My family filed out and I hunted down our server who sheepishly said she was busy "sorting coupons", I paid her and left no tip, something I don't believe I have ever done in my life. I began working in the food industry when I was 16 yrs old and in the 35 years I have been in this business I don't believe I have ever had this bad of an experience at any restaurant I have been to. Good food can make up for bad service but this was bad food and no service, shut the doors and turn out the lights Harrigan's and maybe someone will buy your flat screens.... read more

Went on a Saturday around 7 pm with a group of 6 and sat on the patio. A decent amount of people on the patio but inside was pretty bare. We ordered a couple pitchers of beer, sample platter and wings. After an hour and no food we inquired and they said sorry I will check on it. They came back and said food will be out shortly. We asked again 15 minutes later. They said they are making it now. During this time we notice others who came after us are getting their food. Finally after almost 2 hours we get our food. The waitress apologized and I felt bad for her because I don't think it was her fault. She said she would give us a free pitcher of beer for our wait. We had to remind her 10 minutes later about our pitcher and she brought it out. We heard the table behind us complaining as well to her about the wait. The parm garlic wings were very good but not wait 2 hours good. She did heavily discount our check so that softened our anger but we are all paying for baby sitters so our time is important to us. Not a place I wanted to waste 2 hours of my night at. This could have been a 1 time incident but I won't take my chances. I gave 2 stars because the wings were good read more

Great bar and the food is pretty good as well. Prices are very reasonable. The cheesesteak and Reuben are great choices.

Although I agree with the other reviews that the service can be slow, when they did it right they do it really right. The food is excellent, the prices good and the service can be great given the right waitress. I urge a second or third visit. read more

Ok selection of beers. Good alternative/rock selection of music on the juke. Nice patio. Decent food.

Menu says "award winning chili". NOT! Also says mild or spicy, but were told they only have one kind. One of us ordered a bowl, but got a cup because "that's what comes with the platter". Finally she got a full bowl, like she'd ordered. I wasn't very hungry, so I ordered just a single chili dog with mild chili (before she finally said there was only one kind). So, here comes the "Monday Special", which is two chili dogs and fries. Had to send that back and get the single dog I'd ordered, which I had repeated twice to her when she asked me if I wanted fries with it. "No, I'm just not that hungry!" I'd repeated. Another in our party ordered teriyaki chicken sandwich. What she got was a plain, broiled piece of chicken and no condiments, even though it was supposed to come with lettuce and tomato. The waitress asked if she wanted her to bring some terryaki to put on it, but she said no, just bring the tomato and lettuce. After we'd eaten the waitress informed her that they actually didn't have terryaki sauce. We wondered why the cook couldn't tell her that when they saw the order, so we could be given the opportunity to choose something else!! There were four of us in our party, and we only got charged for three meals, so we informed her because we didn't want her to get shorted. The waitress was as sweet as could be, but, my goodness, she shouldn't be a waitress! Who to blame? Mostly the cook, and partly the waitress, who could clearly see she wasn't bringing what was ordered. What a fiasco when we were there celebrating a birthday. Hey, here's a novel thought. How about offering the birthday girl a free desert on her birthday? Will NEVER go back there.
