Me and boo doordashed this a little later at night and we were not disappointed with the price or the food. We loved the concept of the square cut round pizza, and it made the medium feel like a large. We ordered the Bbq chicken pizza with no bacon and right now they are in one of our top 2's for pizza. The space they cook their food can't be considered a kitchen. But this is America and you can pretty much do what you want if you line the right pockets (I mean it is a Police Bar). Just because you put an oven and sink in a space doesn't mean it's fit to be considered a safe space to cook food in. If you go to this bar, before you order, ask to see where they prepare/store their food and you'll see why they call this a Dive Bar. Oh yeah, I worked here for about 3-4 shifts (including drag night years ago) before I landed another job so I've seen how this place operates. Lastly they decided not to pay me for the shifts I worked because I ended up quitting this Godforsaken place. Every chance I get to expose the unsanitary environment I experienced as an employee and patron I'm going to do it. I'd hate for anyone to visit The Barrel and possibly get sick or mistreated. We visited on Friday night around 6:15 and there was only a few people there. The music was so loud we could barely hear the person sitting next to us. We ordered our food, 3 Pizza Burgers with tots and waited about an hour and 15 mins for the tots to come out cold. The pizza burger looked like it would be really good, but the burger patty itself was horrible. It tasted like it was the cheapest burger patty they could get their hands on. When the bill came, it was wrong. Our half off app was full price and we got charged for another parties beer. Instead of waiting another hour to get it fixed, we paid it and left. The waitress was nice, but by the time our food came, the restaurant was busy and was seriously understaffed. We will not be back. read more

I reserved one of the rooms at The Barrel for an after-hours work party and couldn't have been more pleased with everything! The staff was attentive and friendly, and went above and beyond to accommodate our group. They even added decorations from their own stash to make it more festive. The biggest hit was the pizza...everyone RAVED about it! We enjoyed several appetizers and a variety of drinks, as well. I've been to The Barrel many times over the years to enjoy a drink with friends after work. I will definitely book more corporate events there, too. read more

It's nice and spacious here. The music is great! I was surprised to see that there weren't any masks being worn during COVID. I was able to keep my distance. There's a wide variety of drinks. I liked the draft varieties. They had liquor and bottle service too. They even serve fishbowls. The pizza looks really good. They've got a big patio out back and a pool table inside. They even have a party room. I'm digging these barrel tables. I came for drinks and music. It was nice to get out and it's calm. We stopped by on Memorial Day for a drink and lunch! Service was quick and very friendly. Sarah recommended the snack wrap and it was GREAT!

The pizza is good. That's the only positive I have about this place after four visits. The bartenders and older female (manager??) Are all smiles and hugs with the regulars, but if you don't fall into that category, fuhgeddaboutit. Borderline hostile. Our table was short a chair one night, so I grabbed one from a nearby table. Within moments, the aforementioned older lady was next to me, grabbing that chair because it was from a Reserved table (maybe a Regular). Said she'd get me another chair, which she did. I was standing at my table, talking to friends, and she jammed the new chair into my leg and stomped away. If you're here to drink, get beer or something in a can. Different visit, ordered a Moscow mule at the bar. "Bartender" filled the small cup to the very top with their super crushed ice. No room for liquid. Couldn't taste the vodka, just ginger beer, and there was very little of it due to the ice. And what did I pay for this gem? $13. Fool me once... But hey, the pizza is okay. read more

First night out in a bar setting in 6 months. Only came out to the barrel to listen to Brent James. It's a nice place to hang out and grab some drinks and food. During covid though I would expect a little more cleaning. The restroom was filthy and I ordered draft beer and I watched the lady grab 2 dirty glasses off the table then spray with water and serve me a beer in It. I can't stand when a band is trying to perform for small amount of money and the people over talk the music. No respect for what they are doing. read more

Great pizza! They have great bands playing there. And it has convenient parking. It's easy to find right off I75 in Springboro.

I met a friend there for Karaoke on Tuesday night. We had both been to many karaoke places over the years and are seasoned performers. The bar was relatively quiet. The karaoke sound and lighting was very nice. One of the best setups I've seen lately. A lot of the regulars there were good singers as well as the deejay (who impersonated several popular new country singers). Read further. Food: The appetizer combo was good (all fried foods, would have liked to have had some other options). People said they had good pizza. We were stuffed by the breaded and fried appetizer. Why only a two?: The downer is that when the disk jockey drank his third bucket of beers, he had become far more interested in disk jockeying and scratching, standing on a table, and having his fun rather than the karaoke advertised and it slowed down the show immensely to where it was time to leave. So. Good start but the thing got to be annoying rap and hip hop shit instead. Leave that for the deejays. read more

This is Dayton's version of the Double Deuce except Patrick Swayze's rule was to be nice. They don't follow that rule here. I felt like they thought they were doing me a favor by serving me old stale beer that had been there for God knows how long. They were nice enough however to admit it was old and poured me a new beer of my choice. Choice...that was the tough part and made for a rocky start. They have 12 or better taps and NO beer list. "We have what you see" I was told. Ok, what is the 50 West? "I don't know. I think it's an IPA". Ok, what is the Founders? " I think it's an IPA too" HUH?!! Who operates this way? The men's room had at least a five gallon bucket of piss on the floor, people write on the walls, and they had many patches where people apparently punch and kick holes in the walls. They have TouchTunes, dart boards, and 4 pool tables. This may be a place you like. I feel there are so many other FRIENDLY options in the area I don't feel a need to ever return for rude service and old beer. read more

The wings and food are great. Smoked wings, drinks are typical, but do not go here if you expect to have a conversation with someone within 1 foot of you on a night with a live band. You will have a migraine with an inability to speak with anyone at your table. It is truly miserable to be here on a night with live music. It used to be a great place to eat and enjoy your night with billiards and darts with others, but with a live band, it really is a miserably loud experience. Started going there about 5 years ago. Now it's my watering hole. Most of the food is pretty decent. Priced good for Springboro. A patio out back with Corn Hole and Fire Pit to sit around. Well, we ordered our pizza fairly early in our group. Food came, and came, and came. Not ours. People are starting to leave in our group and finally go to the bar and ask when are we ever going to get our food. She says I took it out there. Well, we never received it. The whiskey Barrel is one of the only bars I go to. They are always getting more beers on tap. Every food item I have gotten has been delicious. Never had a problem with getting service even on super busy nights. Everyone has been friendly and respectful. Never have seen any of the negative things people have talked about on here. Went there last night for the first time. The service was excellent, the beer prices and food were good. We had the $5 Burger special. Unique french fries. The place was clean. We spoke with the manager quite a bit, and she was very friendly. Only suggestion is to have the beer menu on more than 1 TV. Would go back again! read more

Visited The Barrell last weekend. Pizza was delicious and the wings are awesome, but the service is terrible. Five people behind the bar and no one will even look at you much less to take your order and it wasn't even busy. Don't expect a person to come to your table to take your order. Being the only bar in town, and seems really clean for a bar,great atmosphere,and having pool tables and food...I really wanted to love this place. First time there, our food never came out. The server forgot to put in our order. It happens, no big deal but we said we didn't want it since it was so late. Then she charged us for two other peoples drink tabs....ok, go in the back and get yourself together. When we tried to sort it out with her, she then told us we had to pay for the food because she had typed it in anyway. Whatever. It all got sorted out. Well since I noticed they were short staffed any way, about a week later when we were in there, I asked if they were hiring, the female manager (Asian) rolled her eyes at me. LOL, now I know why the service was so lousy when we were there the first time! The second time (and the last time) we were there for a birthday party and the same thing happened to my neighbors! Food NEVER came out, but was charged, our drinks took,no joke, 30 minutes to get to us. I tried to go up to the bar to order a second round hoping it would be faster, NO ONE EVEN TALKED TO ME!and there were three people behind the bar. But one acknowledged the two people standing next to me and took their order. One of them laughed and said "you want me to order for you", no thanks was my response.
