Security dude...you need a raise and kudos for helping the customers! I had spinal surgery and couldn't take stairs up to inside liquor store and the elevator is broken. He asked a worker to go for me and I appreciated him walking all the way from the front to the back of the store to help. The store and staff are super friendly! Be prepared to spend 2-3 times in money normally what u pay in US states. Bring your own bags and cooler insulated bags. There is a cute coffee shop right across parking lot...check them out. read more

Decent place to stop for some grocery while visiting Red Hook. Our resort has a kitchen in our room, so we thought we would pick up some ingredients for a quick meal. They have a lot of local beers and snacks as well as lots of meat, fish, and poultry. The prices are alright and can be comparable to Whole Foods. It's very convenient that they take Apple Pay! One of the few places I have seen in St. Thomas that has it. BE WARNED. Fruit flies! Lots of them all over the fruit section. There's swarms of them. Be careful and stay away. Our first time shopping at Moe's. Well! The products here are wide and varied, giving us more choices than some of the other grocers here on St. Thomas. And, since we know island prices, most, if not all, items were competitively priced. The meat counter was absolutely mouth-drool inviting. Vegetables were fresh and, again, Moe's had a better variety. The ambiance was clean and comfortable. We felt welcomed here. We will easily be back to shop here. read more

Quality and great customer service are always something I look for when visiting an establishment, Moe's has topped both categories. We were all shopping for groceries to take back to the Airbnb. They had great selection and the fish and meat was soooooo fresh. Now the price is the only thing I didn't like. I get it had to be costly because everything is imported, but sheesh. Salmon was $30/pound!!!!!! Had to pass on that. We settled on chicken thighs and rice to make Pelau. They also had some clam chowder soup and it was amazing. Can not wait to go back. read more

Moe's may be tiny but it's become one of my favorite places to grocery shop on St. Thomas. It's fully operational after the hurricanes and as I've said in previous reviews customer service is hard to come by on this island. Every customer that walks into this joint receive a "Welcome to Moe's" greeting in unison by the cashiers. The cashiers and employees will also happily talk to you during transactions or give you help unlike other places. They are still running the same yummy salad bar with all of their fresh goodies as well as their cold to go items. The wine selection here is to die for. Their entire 2nd floor is dedicated to wines & liquor and for sure you'll find what you are looking for. To get up there you'll have to use a scary glass capsule like lift. It's slow and shaky, I think they should give wine samples on the first floor or liquor shots before you enter it! Over all the prices are higher across the board but they do have the freshest produce, best variety of grocery products, especially an awesome deli and Asian food section as well as good customer service. The same owners that operate Plaza Extra in Tutu operate Moe's so I think this is their higher end grocery store. It makes sense, they seem to cater to the Yacht crowd that comes in via Red Hook. The only drawback is that the parking situation can get tight. But since there are no tourists around it's not a problem right now. Visiting St. Thomas, and staying at the Margaritaville Resort. Our room has full kitchen and we wanted to take advantage of it, so we went to Moe's. It is a great little market, but has almost anything you could need. And is nice and clean inside. It almost reminded us of a Trader Joe's, or a Whole Foods market that we have back at home. Moe's Fresh Market is extremely clean, has the best product selection, great customer service. They have a huge wine selection upstairs and plenty of other alcoholic beverages. One million years ago I vacationed on the Caribbean island of Martinique. I chose it, above all others, as I'd read that they had the best food - French Caribbean - of all the islands. When I went to St. Thomas I chose it for entirely different reasons (namely: an incredible flight deal). That probably explains why I ate - in 10 days - no less than 5 meals from Moe's, a market. Moe's isn't just any market though. For an island market they have a great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables but what I suggest you as a tourist go there for is: * Fresh Soup - Each day, Moe's makes fresh batches of soup but on Fridays it gets better. Word is out that Moe's Clam Chowder ($5.95) is the bomb. One would think soup an unpopular choice in such a hot and humid environment but Moe's Clam Chowder will prove you wrong. It's delicious. * Salad Bar ($7.99/lb,) - Moe's has a truly wonderful salad bar which includes not just the usual suspects but many prepared salads that they sell in their deli section. Heading home after a day on the beach, Moe's salads provided me something I very much looked forward to. * Wine selection - I was wandering the store audibly searching for wine when another shopper clued me in that the wine cellar here is actually a wine attic. Or second floor. Walk upstairs (or take the elevator) for a fabulously unexpected selection of wines from the world over. There are other markets in the Red Hook area, perhaps ones cheaper than Moe's, but because of Moe's I didn't even bother exploring. Moe's had exactly what I wanted in a clean and well run store. So taken was I with Moe's salads that I made a stop en route to the airport when I saw another Moe's on another part of the island. They had the same delicious soup and the same outstanding salad bar which provided a modicum of joy as I sat at the airport consuming my Moe's bounty, waiting for yet another delayed flight. Spent over $1000 this week buying overpriced groceries. Just tired to return a single box of crackers that were the wrong ones and for $7,99 they refused to return them without the receipt. Best place on STT to get groceries. Worth the extra $4 in cab fees or 10 minute drive. Clean, friendly staff wide wide selection. We stayed in an Airbnb while we were celebrating our son's wedding in STT and needed trays made for a party before the wedding. We went into Moe's and the customer service was outstanding and they delivered! The food they prepared was outrageously good and fed us throughout our stay. We also shopped for essentials and goodies. This is definitely where you want to shop and if you need reasonably priced catering, this store is for you. read more

Rawl is the man! We are here vacationing and have been coming for the last 15 years. Between the flight delays, the car rental place closed, and lost luggage - the silver lining is a single act of kindness. While waiting for the Ferry to St john - Moes had closed, and he was at the door. With two young kids (5 and 2) - having some level of groceries for breakfast was a silver lining in all of the days we had. Haven't been here in 2 years (hurricanes last year). Moe's is my market of choice when visiting STT. The owners are helpful, they'll ask if you want them to order anything. The fish (& meat) counter people are very nice; if you appreciate their fish, they'll tell you to come back when the fresh ones come in! You can organize a quick, good dinner with the fresh fish and ready-made salads here. The cashiers always greet you. I've never had a bad experience at Moe's; don't know about the eye-rolling in another review here. Parking can get a little tricky, since it's a small lot. I have not been dissatisfied with the quality of veggies i got from Moe's. Price is definitely more than cost U less but it's also far more superior in its quality. The processed food like chips can be a bit more than other stores so if you are $ wise, load up on the chips and snacks at other stores and get your produce and meat from Moe's.
