If you want some flavor, you guys have to come here. The chef here throws down! I came with a group of 4 and we all had something different. Pollo guisado, trifongo w/ smoked pork chops, trifongo w/ longanisa, & oxtail w/ yellow rice & shrimp & chicken skewers. Everyone tried each others dishes and we all the said the same thing, "it has so much flavor." By the time we were done, our plates were clean. Me and and my cousin came here for the first time and the atmosphere was beautiful! It was full of culture and lots of colors! All of the tables had beautiful art on it. Their menu had a lot of different food options. They offered a lot of seafood and some beef and chicken. I told the server I wanted something with rice and beans with meat and she suggested the bistec and it was very delicious and flavorful. I noticed that alot of people seem to enjoy their food and I think it would be helpful for them to have more people to help them cook the food because it took awhile for a couple of tables to get their food. Went here with my friends. There was no delish smells coming from the kitchen. However the atmosphere is pleasant. The food: the Melanie is delicious Order the shrimp/ lobster mofongo and steak ... The seafood was fresh cooked well.. there was no flavor. There was no flavor in the Mofongo. There was no flavor on the seafood just the sauce and when I ask for extra sauce, I want extra sauce on the side which I had asked for, but they put extra sauce on the food, but they didn't give us any sauce to dip the Tostones. The food was okay. I honestly wished that the portion where bigger. When it came to the service the server was nice and all but he never came to the table after the food was served. We live this spot! Compliments to the chef! I have been here a number of times and it's authentic Dominican food! So good the soup is delicious wow mouth watering pork chops and steak! I came for Mofo and wasn't disappointed. Had the trifo which was warm, well seasoned and presented well. The waiter was very informative. The only draw back. I wish they had better description of the food. If you didn't know, you have to ask. read more

My husband and I stopped in during a day of shopping. I had Mofon-go City on my bucket list for a while, and we happened to be in the area. The meal started out with complimentary beef soup and cassava crackers. It was very good, but I cannot eat beef, so I only tasted it. We split an order of shrimp mofongo. You choose your sauce-- we got garlic. The texture of the dish was great. The mofongo didn't get soggy sitting in the sauce. The sauce itself was one of the most garlick-y things I have ever eaten, but it was delicious. The meal came with a small side salad (iceburg lettuce, shaved carrots, and ranch). The service was good. Parking is super easy, as they have a lot out back. The ambiance was simple- music and minimal decor. The only con to the experience (and why I chose 4, not 5 stars) was the prices. Our one dish cost $24 and was one of the cheaper things on the menu. And water wasn't free... which is very unusual. We had to pay for bottled. I would love to go back to try more delicious Dominican food, but will only be able to do so after I've checked my budget! read more

I went today around 3pm to try it out and to support a local business. I pull up and see people inside eating. I try to go in but the door is locked. The sign said it closed at 11pm. I called the number listed and the woman who answered said they closed at 9pm. So, I tell her the door is locked and it's only 3 in the afternoon. She said "yeaaaa..." and then hung up the phone. I guess it's only open to certain people at random times of the day. read more

I ate there about 2 months ago and forgot to post this review. That I remember it so well speaks volumes of what a good experience we had! Great service, great food. Too expensive for anything but a special occasion, but well worth it. First we had fried plantains as an appetizer. I had the chicharron mofongo and my wife had churrasco (steak). I also had a tamarine fruit drink. All were excellent. The meals came with salads with unique dressings and my mofongo came with a bit of longaniza sausage. We enjoyed every bite. For ambiance there happened to be a live musician there performing. read more

The best Mofongo I've had since I was in Lajas PR. Lajas is on the south west of the Island. A wonderful place for a relaxing vacation.
