Very disappointed with this place, lots of friends referred me to this place being that I am from Puerto Rico so everyone wanted me to give it a try, which by the way; the Mofongo comes from Puerto Rico, Dominicans make Mangu which is similar but boiled not fried)... so I went and I got to give it to them, the taste of the mofongo and the proteins where really good. Now... Never in my 40+ years I've paid $16 for a huge ball of mofongo and a bite of meat on side. This is just ridiculous. ANYWHERE that sales mofongo here on the states or in the island you should be able to buy a plate of mofongo with your choice of protein for around $20 or less, with the exception of the obvious Lobsters, filet mignon etc. They force you to buy 2 plates per person, one of mofongo and one for the protein, that's just greedy. You can see the photos and they have it even on the menu, the reasoning PER THE WAITER is to let you taste the protein of your liking when you order the mofongo and if you like it then you ask for the protein plate. I imagine they though that the crowd that was going to come in wouldn't know the difference, which I am sure many don't, but they will catch on and when they do, its going to be another business closed. Each and every Hispanic/Latino friend or person that I know that has gone have told me the same thing, almost word by word. 'It was good, but wont be going ever again unless they change the menu'.

2nd time, looking forward to some authentic food again. Greeted immediately upon entering restaurant smells very clean appears that way as well. The music is on point with a shuffle of different genres. Our sever is the same as last time super friendly guy and very attentive. Sipping on limonada de fresa. So good! We order a couple of empanadas because they were so tasty last time. This time I order pechuga de Lissette, looking forward to trying this new dish! You must come check them out, my partner is Dominican and raves about this place. Looks like we will becoming here more often.

Authentic Dominican and Caribbean dishes! As a young man growing up with a Dominican grandmother who would throw down on empanadas, this reminding me of my youth. The beef empanadas were spot on and so far my favorite in the greater Cincinnati area. I also tried the ox tail, beans and rice, cassava, fried plantains, and sweet plantains! I recommend all of it! The owner and his family were fantastic host, great services and super accommodating. We were there on a slow day, so the owner graced us with some live music! Such a great time out and appropriate for all ages. Looking forward to the next I make it out to try some more dishes. Oh, also, the house made strawberry lemonade, perfect!!!

The food was great. You can tell they take pride in their food. They are a bit more expensive than your normal Dominican restaurants but it was worth it. I definitely recommend if you are in Cincinnati area

Pechuga Al Ajillo is absolutely amazing!! Recommend the side of rice too. The service was amazing and super friendly, more than willing to explain and recommend meals if you have any questions. Plus the music will have you dancing in your seat.

Oxtail mofongo

If you like mofongo, this is place to go. I had the oxtail mofongo and it was great. Service was also amazing along with the ambiance. Loved the music. Our waiter even played a song . Definitely will be back.

Standing ovation! I…read morestopped by after visiting a nearby nail salon and was immediately welcomed by the owner. He was genuinely friendly, accommodating with my order, and made me feel like a valued customer from the moment I walked in. While waiting for my food, we chatted about other Jamaican restaurants around Cincinnati. What stood out most was how highly he spoke of the competition. Instead of putting other restaurants down, he gave each one credit where it was due. That level of confidence and respect says a lot about both the owner and the business. I took a quick look around while I waited, and the restaurant was spotless. The space felt clean, comfortable, and inviting. I ordered my meal to go and had about a 30-minute drive home. When I finally opened my container, steam poured out and the food was still piping hot. That's the kind of freshness you hope for but don't always get! The only hiccup was that my macaroni and cheese was accidentally left out of my bag. I called the restaurant, and before I could even explain why I was calling, the owner immediately acknowledged the mistake. He apologized and assured me he'd remember me the next time I came in. His response was genuine and customer focused, which made the situation easy to overlook. Great hospitality, delicious fresh food, and excellent customer service. If this first visit is any indication, I'll definitely be back and next time, I'm getting extra mac and cheese!

The menu looked amazing, so I drove us there. When we pulled up, I thought we had the wrong place. It is inside of an office building. Tip: Go to the second floor and make a left. The aroma of the food will lead your right to it. When we arrived, they had music playing and chill vibes. You can order and pay through the kiosk. After we placed our order, we went into the dining area. The food came out pretty quickly. I ordered 10 wings and coco bread. For my flavors, I selected the pineapple jerk wings and the honey jerk wings. The owner came out personally and brought my wings to me. The owner is a really solid dude. He gave us the backstory on the restaurant and told us about his homemade sauces. You can tell that he really is passionate about his business. The wings were smoked and sauced to perfection! And they are 10 for $10! Can't beat that price for the quality they are giving you. The coco bread was a nice addition, I used it to soak up the leftover jerk sauce I had in my container! My wife got the jerk salmon with fried rice and jerk yum yum sauce. Yes, you heard me right! Jerk Yum Yum Sauce!!! I had to steal a couple of bites off of her plate, and I shared one of my wings with her. She loved her meal, and the jerk yum yum sauce was phenomenal. We ordered The Hut Punch, which is sugar-free and comes with real fruit pieces. It was very refreshing and flavorful. Lastly, the customer service! We met the owner and his wife. They have managed to bring a piece of Jamaica to Ohio. When we were about to leave to head back to Columbus, I told my wife that I couldn't leave without getting some jerk yum yum sauce to go. I asked if they sold sauces to go. The owner went out of his way to go and purchase containers so that I could take some home. He didn't have to do that, but I am truly grateful that he did. I am now back in Columbus, and I have already started pouring on my fried rice and loving every bite! If you love Jamaican food, you have to try this place! Jerk Wings 1-5=5! Coco Bread 1-5=4. Salmon Fried Rice 1-5=5. Hut Punch 1-5=4. Jerk Yum Yum Sauce 1-5=5! Customer Service 1-5=5! Even though they are Bengals fans. #GoBrowns

I ordered their island rice box: Jamaican rice & beans, Caribbean slaw, mango salsa and of course their jerked chicken. The mango was bright and tart, the slaw was crisp and creamy, the rice soaked up some of the flavor from the smokey and succulent chicken. I would eat this once a day if I could! The plantains were perfectly sweet with just enough sear and caramelization. I actually dropped my first order seconds after collecting it, and they replaced it free of charge rather than let me enact the five second rule. If you see this bright green truck, do not fail to stop!

This restaurant was waste of money and time. Where to start. The fresh cut fries were burnt. No one thought it is a bad idea to sent food out like that. The restaurant is small and has a couple of tables in the dining area and bar seating is available as well. They have a tv over the bar, which had on news while I was there. They also have Jamaican music playing in the dinning area. The restaurant serves bowls with your choice of meat over rice, and your choice of rasta pasta or peas and cabbage. The meats that you can choose from include curry chicken, jerk chicken, ox tail, lamb, fish, and turkey. They also have chicken wings, and chicken cheese steak. To drink they tout brown sugar lemonades. I had to try one. It was good, but no special and no different than regular lemonade. I ordered the chicken cheese steak with a side of plantains. It took about 10 minutes for me to get my food. It was hot, fresh and delicious. It came on a Ciabatta bun and had a unique flavor. The chicken was overflowing out of the bun and i could have probably made another sandwich with the meat that feel out. The plantains were pretty good too. Sweet and juicy. This place gets packed. They had people coming in and out of there. It has a cool vibe. If you find yourself in downtown Dayton, I recommend checking this spot out. They have a small menu of some good food in a trendy atmosphere.
