For dinner I ordered the Chicken Ruby, basmati rice, garlic naan, and crispy okra fries. Now I get the hype. The Chicken Ruby was rich, spicy, and packed with flavor, the naan was perfect for soaking up every bit of sauce, and the okra fries were so crunchy I couldn't stop eating them. This place absolutely lived up to its reputation. They also serve breakfast, and there's so much on the menu that I already plan to come back a few more times before I leave London.

Food quality was very bad, probably one of the worst Indian food I have eaten by far. My daughter couldn't eat more than couple of spoon of rice and we left most of the food and didn't eat the. We have been many Indian food in different countries and this is one really bad in terms of quality and taste. Luckily for me I moved to East London and found Lavang Spice (or Victoria Park Tandoori as it was then called) where I've been eating now for about 8 years. In that time I've not once had a bad meal. The curry here is seriously tasty, cheap and the service is friendly but often a bit slow. I strongly recommend the house specialities menu although everything here is good. A lot of places tend to rely on making your dish so hot you can't taste how bad it is or dish up soggy bland curry. The food here is spicy, well cooked and comes in generous portions. Despite being recently renovated the decor is still pretty basic but the food and friendly staff make up for that. Not somewhere to impress a date but a great place for a big meal or a long relaxed evening. Once you're seated the table is yours all night as they wouldn't dream of hurrying you away.

The waiter seemed to have a little attitude - especially when I did not want his suggestion of pappadum. But when all was said and done, we had a lovely meal. We ordered samosas, chicken biryani, aloo gobi, one naan and one rice. We also received a daal which I think came as the main entree with the aloo gobi. It came quickly and very hot. Service was attentive.
